God’s Country

By Diane Bederman   Jun 9, 2024

Whenever I listen to the lyrics of “God’s Country, I think of Israel. This Country Western song was written about America’s heartland but the values are the same. And it makes sense as America’s Constitution is firmly rooted in the teachings of the Hebrew Bible.

Each time I hear it, I think of the extraordinary,  young American Cowboys, including Joshua Waller, John Plocher, Ezekiel Strain, Yosef Strain, Luke Hutslar and Samuel Wearp, with their trademark wide-brimmed hats, leather belts with heavy metal buckles, jeans and rugged boots, who came to Israel right after the October 7 barbaric massacre of Israeli men, women and children by Muslims from Gaza. The group of cowboys hail from Bible Belt states in the United States: Montana, Arkansas, Texas and Tennessee: God’s Country.

Shavou’ot (Pentecost) guide for the perplexed, 2024

Ambassador (ret.) Yoram Ettinger, “Second Thought: a US-Israel Initiative”    June 9, 2024,

  1. Shavou’ot(June 11-12, 2024) and the Land of Israel

*Shavou’ot commemorates the receipt of the Torah (the Five Books of Moses). It is one of the three liberty-driven Jewish pilgrimages to Jerusalem:  Passover, Shavou’ot (Pentecost) and Sukkot (Tabernacles). It documents the critical linkage between Judaism, the Land of Israel and the Jewish people. These pilgrimages constitute central milestones in the formation of Jewish history and the 4,000-year-old Jewish roots in the Land of Israel.

*Shavou’ot is an historical, national, agricultural and a spiritual extension of Passover. Passover highlights the physical liberty from slavery in Egypt; Shavou’ot highlights spiritual liberty, embracing the values of the Five Books of Moses, the Ten Commandments and The Ethics of our Fathers (Pirkey Avot). Therefore, the eve of Shavou’ot is dedicated to an all-night study of Jewish values.

Israel is being held hostage by its flawed wait-and-see mentality

We owe it to our youth, our up and coming leaders, to stiffen our spines and to do what needs to be done – on our own terms – to assure their future.

By DOUGLAS ALTABEF    JUNE 9, 2024

It is becoming increasingly difficult to believe that we are on our way to restoring security to our borders and safety to our citizens who reside in either the Gaza envelope or in Israel’s North, the Galilee, and the Golan.

Our soldiers have been not only heroic, but also quite effective in the Swords of Iron campaign in Gaza. We have adapted brilliantly to the demands not only of urban conflict, but also of tunnel conflict.

The Uneasy Case for Banishment in Gaza, Judea, Samaria

By Walter E. Block

Banishment, being exiled from a particular place or jurisdiction, has a long history. The first case on record was Adam and Eve who were dismissed from the Garden of Eden for various types of miscellaneous misbehavior.

Are there any other cases where one group of people was compelled to depart from a geographical area they had long occupied? Yes, unhappily, there are. The Jews have no monopoly on this sort of thing, but they are high up on any historical compilation of being kicked out of a country. This occurred to the

“Israelites by the Assyrian king Sargon II in 720 BCE, the Judeans who were deported by Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar II in 586 BC, and the Jews following the destruction of the second Temple in Jerusalem in AD 70.”

Daring Israeli Rescue of 4 Hostages Discredits Appeasement

The only way to stop the cycle of Islamic terrorism is to stop cutting deals with the terrorists.

Daniel Greenfield | Front Page | June 9, 2024

After months in which it was falsely claimed that the only way to rescue hostages was to cut a deal with  Islamic terrorists, Israel launched a daring daylight rescue operation, simultaneously hitting two houses where four hostages were being held.

The Surprising Potential of Ivermectin Against Cancer: Dr. Kathleen Ruddy

Peloni:  Dr. Ruddy’s exploration into the potential use of Ivermectin in the treatment of cancer provides an exemplary example for how science needs to work, how medicine should be pursued, as well as how informed consent must be applied.  It will be very interesting to see what comes from her investigational study.

Bibi’s & IDF Spokesman Address the Hostage Rescue

Peloni:  This was a day to be celebrated and rejoiced. And the only reason we can feel this sense of joy is because Israel did something which it has almost exclusively failed to do, with few specific exceptions, over the past 40yrs, and that is to act in her own interest and not that of the antisemitic Great Power leaders, sans Trump, in America. This victory was in fact exacted by the IDF and security services and Yamam, but this victory was only possible because Israel’s political leadership told the US, “NO”. This was Bibi’s doing, and he owes his ability to having done it to both the support of the Israeli people and the resolve of his own govt, sans the Gantz faction, as he faced down the American demand that he should aquiese and surrender to Hamas. This Israeli-faced posture must be the continued posture of Israel going forward. As Bibi said three days ago,

” What has been is not what will be; we will change this reality.”

And he has already begun changing this reality by with his resistance to the yoke of American dominance over Israel’s self interest.

The United States Reincarnates Communism and Stalin’s Trials

By Alexander G. Markovsky

Image of the morph from Biden to Stalin by Andrea Widburg

Following the announcement of the verdict, Donald Jay Trump labeled the New York trial as a “scam” and “a rigged trial,” and proclaimed, “I’m willing to do whatever I have to do to save our country and to save our Constitution.”

Given Trump’s tenacity and determination, he will likely win this round. He may even succeed and become President again, but he cannot alter the trajectory of this nation—the course has already been set.

A SYSTEM TEST: Are US bosses managing the next Holocaust?

E. Rowell:  Fransisco Gil-White’s article explores the phenomenon of antisemitism and how reality has been managed to hide the dual goals of wiping out the Jews and enslaving mankind.

An MOR series

By Fransisco Gil-White, MANAGEMENT OF REALITY    3 June 2024

US President Joe Biden, and PLO/Fatah (‘Palestinian Authority’) boss Mahmoud Abbas. Photo: Associated Press.

It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you into trouble; it’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so.

PART 1. Introduction.

A well-chosen thought experiment can reveal to us the conceptual structure and boundaries of our moral framework. It can help us specify the principles by which, in that framework, we determine questions of justice. That’s why moral and legal philosophers often resort to thought experiments.
Here’s one:

  • Thought experiment. Imagine that, in World War II, the Arab Palestinian movement had worked hand-in-glove with the German Nazis to carry out the Final Solution to exterminate the European Jewish people (Shoa or Holocaust).
  • Question. In such a case, could the effort to carve out Israeli territory for the Arab Palestinian movement legitimately be considered a quest for justice?

From Israel: All Right Now!!

Peloni:  It was a joyous moment to read the words “Hostages Rescued” once again.  I know that I was greatly moved by this event, and even as we know that there are still some 120 souls still held among the hordes of Hamas and their citizen jailers, I could not help but to see that this was a sign that we will not retreat from the coming victory over our enemies, that we will not abandon our citizens to a fate of their jailers choosing, and that we will  win this war – not because we can, not because we want it, but because we must.  There is no other choice, and if this reality was ever in doubt by anyone, this joyous moment demonstrated once and for all, that this is true.

Arlene Kushner | June 9, 2024

What a joy to share good news: The rescue from captivity of four hostages.

Those rescued were Noa Argamani (25), Shlomi Ziv (40), Almog Meir Jan (21), Andrey Kozlov (27), all of whom had been abducted by Hamas terrorists during the October 7 attack on the Nova music festival.

Sure, I’ll Buy Half a Cow

By Jeffrey A. Tucker | June 8, 2024

People shop at a grocery store in New York City on March 21, 2024. (Samira Bouaou/The Epoch Times)

Things have gotten strange out there in the land of shopping. I ran across a pack of butter for $8. I was shocked but then used my device to check other sources, only to find out it was a good price.

The same happened with some maple syrup. The $20 price tag shocked me and I thought, “What a ripoff,” until I realized it was being sold at a discount, given the volume.

Democrats panic over Jewish voters

E. Rowell:  We do not yet know the extent to which American Jews are deserting the Biden Administration.  But in the wake of the 7th of October, it is possible that American Jews who were firmly in the Biden camp may be having second thoughts.  Up until now many non-Orthodox Jews, including Zionist Jews, were firmly in the “anyone but Trump” camp, which I see as due to the effective progressive propaganda campaign that has made Trump out to be a racist.  It is difficult to maintain that view of Trump as racist when you see him campaigning in neighborhoods of color and being so warmly greeted by thousands of people there.  The former head of the Black Panther party has come out in support of Trump.  He explained that Trump has always been a friend to the Black community.  I think the veil is being lifted from Jewish eyes in America because no Jew can now deny the genocidal intent of Hamas and all Hamas supporters.  Jews then look to Biden and Trump:  who will be a better protector of the Jews?  We await their answers to that question in November.

After tossing Jewish voters overboard to accommodate the Hamas supporters of Dearborn, Michigan, the Democrats are starting to get nervous about the choice they made.

Despite the rollout of the campaign, beginning with Senator Schumer’s floor speech blasting Israel, and various liberal Jewish surrogates, including Rep. Jerry Nadler, vocally opposing the campaign against Hamas, the Democrats did not manage to sell Jews on Biden’s betrayal.

Peloni:  Ronit Farkash reveals the story surrounding her son being shot in Gaza, and how the event was manipulated by Hamas as a tool of psychological warfare.  Her call to unity is the only path to victory, even as the Leftists who remained charmed by the Americans are mounting ever greater calls for division in the country.

Liberating Our Jerusalem

Peloni:  An truly invaluable article.  As Greenfield explains  “Israel is the solution”.

Daniel Greenfield | danielgreenfield.org | June 5, 2024

When Jordan’s Arab Legion seized half of Jerusalem, ethnically cleansed its Jewish population and annexed the city– the only entity to recognize the annexation was the United Kingdom which had provided the officers and the training that made the conquest possible. Officers like Colonel Bill Newman, Major Geoffrey Lockett and Major Bob Slade, under Glubb Pasha, better known as General John Bagot Glubb, whose son later converted to Islam, invaded Jerusalem and used the Muslim forces under their command to make the partition and ethnic cleansing of Jerusalem possible.

The Jews living in the free half of Jerusalem continued to be killed by Jordanian Muslim snipers. The victims of those years of Muslim occupation included Yaffa Binyamin, a 14-year-old girl sitting on the balcony of her own house and a Christian carpenter working on the Notre Dame Convent.
