The world is waking up

Peloni:  Jordan is Palestine.  By denying this fact, it denies the rights of the majority of Jordan’s population.  It also denies the rights of the Palestinian Arabs living in Judea and Samaria as well as those of the Gazans.  For too long the world has remained quiescent, supportive and complicit in the weaponization of these parties as a tool by which to bludgeon their Israeli neighbors, and for far too long Israel was compliant in allowing this gross humanitarian crisis to be leveraged against them.  The days when such iniquities are tolerated, at least by Israel, are over.  It is time to declare, once and for always, that Jordan was created as the Arab Palestinian state, and remains as such to this day, while Israel was recognized as the reconstituted Jewish State, and that the only thing which grants Jordan any legitimacy is its creation being agreed upon in the same moment that Israel’s reconstitution was recognized, over a century ago during the Cairo Conference of 1921.

Mudar Zahran

The world is waking up, An Israeli American influencer; “The Hashemite Kingdom (Jordan) is the most illegitimate state in the entire region. And if we consider Israel an illegitimate state, then by what logic can one justify that a king of Saudi origin occupies Palestinian land? It is an occupying and apartheid state ruled by newcomers from the Arabian Peninsula, where Palestinians are deprived of their most basic right to self-determination on their land. This state is nothing but a bastard product of an illegitimate union between British colonialism and the joint Arab occupation of this region….”

E3 Triggers ‘Snapback’ Mechanism to Reimpose UN Sanctions on Iran

Peloni:  This is long overdue, and even as the E3 has finally triggered the Snapback, it is being done with the most obvious effort to give Iran every chance to evade the consequences which it has earned years ago.  Peace thru strength, if applied properly, can be a strong deterrant to bad actors, but such fecklessness as demonstrated by the E3 as they have tolerated and supported the interests of the rogue Iranian state is the very opposite of what has been needed to deter Iran, which is why they are still not deterred even with the announcement of the Snapback mechanism being triggered.

Latest Developments

  • ‘Snapback’ Process Initiated: The United Kingdom, France, and Germany — collectively known as the E3 — triggered the “snapback” mechanism on August 28 to begin the process of reimposing harsh UN sanctions against Iran over its “significant non-performance” of its nuclear commitments. The trio came to the decision a few days ahead of the deadline to initiate the process after efforts to negotiate with Iran failed and the Islamic Republic continued to block International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors from its nuclear facilities. The “snapback” mechanism enshrined in UN Security Council Resolution 2231 — which endorsed the 2015 Iran nuclear deal — would freeze Iranian assets abroad, halt arms deals, and penalize Iran’s ballistic missile development.

CONTAMINATING OUR COUNTRY SINCE ITS FOUNDING

Selective Humanitarianism and the Demonization of Israel

Peloni:  As I have stated previously:  “Fake famines and fake genocides in Gaza earned instantaneous support and outrage from across the West, while real famines and real genocides are ignored by these same sources of outrage.  There is a foul sickness in the West which supports such nonsense charges against Israel, while ignoring the ongoing slaughter across Africa.  It is called antisemitism, the old hatred, which must be understood to stand uniquely apart from other forms of hatred, as clearly depicted by the cruel use of selective rage against Israel for a given charge of atrocities, even when it is obviously false from the outset.

Focus of international outrage must be made to deal with real atrocities, and in the process save what remains of the Christian communities across Africa which have been abandoned to suffer the cruel fate, which is only imagined in Gaza to suit an antisemitic agenda.”

Michael Derfler

Famine declareed in South Sudan over one year ago.  Screengrab via Youtube

I. Introduction

Human suffering should command moral clarity. Famine, war, and displacement ought to provoke a universal outcry, regardless of geography, politics, or identity. Yet in today’s international discourse, outrage is applied unevenly—most vocally when one country, Israel, is involved. This essay explores the famine declared in Gaza in 2025 and contrasts it with the far more extensive but largely ignored hunger catastrophe in Sudan, among other countries. It argues that the disproportionate response toward Israel reflects not just political double standards, but often the repackaging of centuries-old antisemitic patterns into the language of human rights and humanitarianism.

It’s Only Words…but…

Peloni:  It is time to take the gloves off and bring the real debate before the public.  Change the preference of hasbara into something more substantially useful in both defensive and offensive responses and anticipations of the fantasies leveraged by our enemies.  Having the means to win an argument requires that we make the argument as clear, quick and vocal as possible, as Joan explains below, and of course, it is an important asset to have the truth to back these arguments up, which we clearly do.

Before I make my case, can we all agree that Jews are smart?  Yes, we have our share of dumb, dense dolts, but when it comes to objective, empirical, irrefutable evidence of intellectual accomplishments, there is really no arguing with the smart — and often brilliant — label.

Memo to France: There is no Palestinian Right of Return to Israel

UN Resolution 242 does not expressly reference any “right of return” at all, let alone an absolute one. Indeed, 242 did not even mention so-called “Palestinians” or use the term “West Bank”

It is hard to fathom France’s irresponsible behavior. Besides the proposal for illegal unilateral recognition of a so-called “Palestinian state” (as detailed in, Munich Betrayal 2.0-Perfidious appeasement will fail yet again), Yigal Carmon of Memri posted on X that the document France submitted for the UN General Assembly in September, which was published by the French Foreign Ministry on July 29, 2025, expressly provides, in paragraph 39, for an “affirmation of the right of return”.

Ofer Bronstein, Special Envoy of the President of France, responded to Carmon’s post on X and stated that it was an error, which France would be correcting, by providing instead that “The parties will negotiate among themselves on a solution to the refugee issue”. He also thanked Carmon for his understanding and his justified concern. Carmon thanked Bronstein in a reply post on X and asked to be sent the new version in the official government publication when it comes out.

From Israel: Vicissitudes of Our Time!!

Arlene Kushner | August 26, 2025

Israel is coping within an unstable situation. (Ask me what else is new.) It is hardly surprising then that plans and policies shift.

The Security Cabinet had approved a major operation in Gaza City, which has just begun. Some 60,000 reserve soldiers have been called up for this operation and are scheduled to report for duty beginning on September 2. Already, there were reports two days ago that Israeli tanks had advanced into the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City.

The New Middle East – Arab Clans Ready to Replace Palestinian Authority?

Peloni:  Mordechai Kedar discusses the state of his emirates plan while lamenting that the Israeli govt has been too busy over the past 50 days while dealing with Gaza, Syria, Netanyahu’s trials, etc to change the official Israeli policy regarding Hebron at the time of the recording.   Interestingly, since this recording was released, Min. Barkat, who has been working most closely with the emirates plan, announced the following:

Israel intends to break up the Palestinian Authority, extend sovereignty across Judea and Samaria, and pursue an “Emirates-style” framework for Palestinian cities.

ON PATRIOTISM:

Human beings, in their settled condition, are animated by oikophilia: the love of the oikos, which means not only the home but the people contained in it, and the surrounding settlements that endow that home with lasting contours and an enduring smile.”
? Roger Scruton, How to Be a Conservative

I REPEAT: “Love of the people contained in it!

This sentiment separates a conservative from the “tolerant” left that hate the land, its founding, its culture, language, religions, currency, literature, art, history and legacy, and its people! The left hates you, hates period. Hate is their nature.

The legal foundation of Israel’s E1 settlement plan

Peloni:  Here lies the statement which should have been put forward when Israel declared the decades long deadlock on expanding the E1 settlement plan.  Indeed, Israel’s rights to its ancestral lands is based on religious, historic and ancestral ties to the land, all of which may be seen to be deeply personal and terribly powerful arguments among us Jews, but the only argument which should be expected to gain support from the world at large is the basis upon which the world came to endorse the reconstitution of our ancient state on the lands of our ancestors, as deeded in international law and described here in this article.  Indeed, the extension of the E1 settlement plan was not simply a pragmatic move to block the insidious Two State Solution, although, if this were the only basis to doing so it would have been an important step to take, but instead, it was an act which was entirely consistent with the acknowledgement of our rights to our lands as agreed upon in international law.

The recent announcement by Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich to advance the long-stalled E1 settlement plan has, predictably, drawn criticism from various corners of the international community. Yet, lost in the reflexive condemnations is a sober assessment of the solid legal foundations underpinning Israel’s sovereignty over the heartland of its ancient homeland—Judea and Samaria. The strategic E1 corridor, connecting Jerusalem to Ma’ale Adumim, is more than a geopolitical flashpoint; it is a test case for the world’s willingness to acknowledge the established principles of international law that affirm Israel’s rightful claim to this land.

Stop leaving Egypt out of the conversation on Gaza’s humanitarian crisis

Peloni:   The humanitarian situation in Gaza only exists because of Egypt.  Indeed, not only is Egypt responsible for blocking Gazans from seeking refuge in Egypt and elsewhere, Egypt is responsible for facilitating the massive arms transfers to Gaza which actually made the October 7 slaughter, and the war which followed, possible.   Furthermore, Egypt maintains that not only should the Gazans wanting to leave Gaza be denied the right to do so during this war, but they should be permanently enslaved to remain tied to the land of Gaza as if they were serfs of the Middle Ages.  This mendacity masked as support for the Gazans, is in fact motivated by a determination to keep the Gazans trapped in their current situation where they might continued to be weaponized against Israel in the hopes that their enforced tragedy will continue to result in more dead Jews, which is of course both an accurate and intentional consequence of enforcing the permanently indentured status of the Gazans to the land of Gaza.

Egypt remains absent from any serious discussion of solutions on any humanitarian issues seen in the Gaza Strip.

Last week the UN-backed Integrated Food Security Phase Classification system declared famine conditions in parts of northern Gaza. The declaration altered normal IPC standards by relying on projections rather than verified evidence such as daily death counts from malnutrition or updated reporting on hunger mortality.
