Something happened that caused Donald Trump to “cancel” the expected meeting between himself and Vladimir Putin in Budapest.
Consider this: Plans were moving ahead for the meeting. Hungary’s Foreign Minister arrived in Washington to work on planning for the meeting. While he was still here, Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a “productive” phone call with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, and recommended that Trump cancel the Putin meeting.
Prime Minister’s Office: “The Knesset vote on annexation was a deliberate political provocation by the opposition to sow discord during Vice President JD Vance’s visit to Israel. The two bills were sponsored by opposition members of the Knesset. The Likud party and the religious parties (the principal coalition members) did not vote for these bills, except for one disgruntled Likud member who was recently fired from the chairmanship of a Knesset committee. Without Likud support these bills are unlikely to go anywhere.”
Peloni: More revealing than this is the INN report that Trump gave his word to the Arab countries that Israel would not recognize sovereignty over Judea and Samaria and has threatened “Israel would lose all of its support from the United States if that happened.”
An important point to be made here is the perjorative context in which it is claimed that Israel is “annexing” anything, which is utterly false. The extension of sovereignty only recognizes facts already in existence and as established in international law. Trump’s comment demonstrates a complete miscomprehension of what was proposed in the yesterday’s legislation.

After the Knesset passed two bills advancing the annexation of territories in Judea and Samaria over the opposition of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, U.S. Secretary Marco Rubio warned that the action could be “threatening to the peace deal.”
Neoconservative Norman Podhoretz, a brilliant observer of Jewish behaviour in the United States, is aggrieved at how the majority of Jewish voters have historically voted Democrat. He views this voting pattern as sheep voting against self-interest. He is not wrong.

Today I had a remarkble interview with @Mudar_Zahran (Secretary General of the Jordanian Opposition Coalition) living in exile in the UK. With his links to intelligence agencies he provided incredible insights into the Gaza ceasefire and an optimistic outlook for Israel & Jordan pic.twitter.com/ZNq3WUVfbt
Peloni: It is absurd that Qatar, Turkey or Hamas would be granted any role in what comes next in Gaza. They are all different faces of the Muslim Brotherhood, which by any reasonable standard should be eliminated from participating in Gaza.

Qatar is already backsliding just days after pressuring Hamas to clinch a Gaza ceasefire deal with Israel. During his annual address to Qatar’s legislative body on October 21, Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani accused Israel of “continued breaches of the ceasefire in Gaza” without blaming Hamas for provoking Israeli action. At no point did Al-Thani mention Hamas’s October 7, 2023, massacre of 1,200 people, which dragged Israel into war two years ago. Rather than working with the United States to facilitate Hamas’s disarmament, Doha appears to be signaling a return to obstruction, with the apparent goal of securing Hamas’s position in Gaza.

Disagreements have emerged between the United States, Israel, and Egypt regarding the continued implementation of the Trump framework to end the war, amid the visit of the Egyptian intelligence chief to Israel and the arrival of the U.S. Vice President in the country, Kan News reported Tuesday.

The United States Department of Justice (DOJ) announced on Friday that it had arrested 33-year-old Mahmoud Amin Yaqub al Muhtadi in Louisiana. The DOJ alleged that Muhtadi was a member of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine’s (DFLP) so-called armed wing and had participated in the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led attack in southern Israel.
Once again, Israel’s decisive win has boosted America too.

The chaos in Gaza is intensifying, exposing Hamas’s true evil face to anyone who lives in the fact-based universe. Violating the ceasefire from the get-go, the terror group is doling out the dead bodies of innocent Israelis, making me wonder why we released any Palestinian prisoners without securing all bodies first.
And, beware, Israel has sometimes won wars while losing the peace. Still, while addressing the Knesset, US President Donald Trump correctly called the Gaza breakthrough “an incredible triumph for Israel and the world.” Once again, Israel’s victory is America’s victory, too. Read more…
Peloni: Watch this video in light of the comments made by Or Yissachar on the recent IDSF Briefing. Mark is essentially making the same point. The Arab attempt to solve the Hamas problem will fail, and then Israel will be allowed to complete the task.
Peloni: On the IDSF briefing today, IDSF Head of Research Or Yissachar explains that what is taking shape in Gaza will fail, but that Trump is allowing the Arabs the opportunity to prove they can get Hamas to demilitarize and disarm themselves, but that it is doomed to failure. Following their failure, the IDF will follow thru and eliminate Hamas. While Or’s conclusions here are quite reasonable, it elevates the level of danger for Israel, as we have already seen with the recent attack on the IDF forces by Hamas.
The conclusion being made here is that Trump is trying to align all the Middle East actors, and so he needs to give the Arabs the opportunity to prove that they can bring results to the table, and failing Hamas disarming itself, Hamas will be destroyed, either by a “proxy”, as Trump referenced in a recent interview, or by Israel. The proxy indicated in Trump’s comments should be understood to be a reference to the Arab force in Gaza, whoever is included in this group, and if (read as ‘when’) they fail, Trump can allow Israel to finish the job without any of the Arabs being able to mount an objection.
Peloni: Jordan is Arab Palestine. Based on history, law, geography and majority demographics, Jordan is Arab Palestine. While it has suited the interests of all parties for one reason or another to pretend away the reality of this fact, Jordan is still Arab Palestine.

The Baptist Zionist Public Affairs Committee (BZPAC) criticized U.S. President Donald Trump’s Gaza peace agreement, saying it “risks repeating the failures of the past” in a statement issued earlier this month.
Linda Goudsmit: This is the article the West should be reading!
Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of Hamas co-founder Sheikh Hassan Yousef, defected to Israel in 1997 and moved to the United States in 2007. He converted to Chritianity in 1999 and has been warning the West of the immutable nature of Islam in his books and speeches. I find that the men and women with personal experience who have actually lived under totalitarian and terrorist regimes have the most standing and credibility. I make it a practice to ignore the paid political propaganda spewed by pundits of the corporate media whose bosses have a globalist agenda. This important article by Catherine Salgado discusses the chilling warnings of Mosab Hassan Yousef which expose the staggering deceit of Hamas. Taqiyya, lying in the service of Islam and hudna, a deceitful ceasefire for resupplying, regrouping, and attacking are the operational Hamas tactics––not peace. Israel is the bulwark against terrorism in the Middle East. Israel must finish this war with Hamas or Islamic terrorism will continue to spread worldwide. President Trump needs to hear Mosab Hassan Yousef ––there is no peace with terrorists––there is only taqiyya and hudna. Neither President Trump nor his two financially-conflicted envoys are going to stop 1400 years of immutable Islamic doctrine that demands the destruction of all non-believers––Jews and Christians––and the establishment of a worldwide Islamic caliphate. It is the long game.
Peloni: The import of adding VP Vance to the conversation being led Kushner and Witkoff should not be ignored. We will see what emerges from all of this, but placing greater reliance upon Vance, who has signalled a greater support of the isolationists perspective in the administration. Hence from the outset, this does not bode well, not for Israel, not for the US, and not for any prospect of long term peace. But time will tell.
