Avi Abelow: Compassion for Gaza… Or Moral Confusion

Peloni:  Avi is correct.  The hostages are home, but the task at hand is not yet complete.  Safety and security of the Jewish Homeland remain yet to be completed.  This task must not be left undone, or half managed.  There can be no substitute for victory.

EMET is proud to endorse the Save the Kurds Act

EMET | Feb 2, 2026

The Endowment for Middle East Truth (EMET) is proud to endorse Senate Bill S.3740 – Save the Kurds Act, and deeply appreciates the work done by Senators Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal. This bill seeks to re-designate Hayat Tachrir Al-Sham and its affiliated groups as Foreign Terrorist Organizations, as well as re-impose sanctions recently lifted after the fall of the Assad regime. This bill takes important steps necessary to ensure the current government of Syria follows through on its promise to protect and ensure minority rights in the country – a promise they are so far failing to uphold.

Trump must not negotiate with Iran unless the regime first meets strict preconditions

Peloni:  I entirely agree with Jacob Nagel.   Any attempt to appease Iran or to walk back prior commitments made to the American people, the people of the region and the Iranian protestors would have significantly deleterious effects on the future.

The world is focused on a single question: will President Donald Trump strike Iran, or will he once again attempt negotiations – and if force is used, what form will it take and what role Israel will play?

Recent tweets, media leaks, and comments attributed to “close sources” have raised concern that confrontational rhetoric may be giving way to the language of talks. That would be a grave mistake. Cutting a deal with this regime would be nothing less than geopolitical malpractice.

The NDP Opposes IDF Speakers in Canada

Walter E. Block

Heather McPherson is an NDP MP who represents the Edmonton Strathcona riding in the House of Commons. She is not a happy camper. What complaint does she have?

She states: “This week [November 9, 2025], I was outraged to learn that a tour of Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers was organized across Canadian and American universities, including most recently at Toronto Metropolitan University.”

Why Anti-Semitism is a Losing Strategy for the Conservative Movement

Peloni:  Radicals are nothing to celebrate, and the promotion of Jew Hatred is nothing to tolerate.  As Trump has made statements on the unacceptable nature of these things, he has failed to call out Carlson and his fellow MAGA talking heads for their promotion of intolerance, even as it strikes directly at the heart of Trump’s own anti Iran policies.  Trump needs to address this issue directly.  His silence on the rampant promotion of Jew Hatred among the likes of Carlson is not helping him.

A big tent is only meaningful if it stands for something.

The death of conservative icon Charlie Kirk has prompted more than mourning. It has triggered a profound reckoning about the future of the American conservative movement, one that played out in real time at Turning Point USA’s recent AmericaFest convention.

Just three months after Kirk’s assassination, the organization he co-founded became the venue for an intense debate over a fundamental question: Should conservatism remain a coalition with clear moral boundaries, or should it become a broader movement that tolerates racists, antisemites, and conspiracy theorists in the name of “free speech” and “not canceling anyone”?

The Kurdish story is not over

Peloni:  The story of the Kurds is a heart-wrenching tale of betrayal and division.  In an age in which Turkey is allowed its colonization from Cyprus to Syria and more, the Kurds are denied their rights of recognition even of autonomy under the current Turkish puppet in Syria.  Notably, Trump’s deference for the Turkish interest in expanding its control well beyond its borders has not only consumed the indigenous rights of the Kurds, but the civil rights of minorities in Syria.  Will he next force Israel from its protective barrier over the Syrian Druze?  How many slaughters must the world witness in silence to appease the megalomania of the neo Ottoman obsessed Erdogan?

When the Syrian army attempts to move into Kurdish cities and towns, not just into oil fields and sparsely populated desert areas, it may encounter fierce and determined Kurdish resistance.

by  Prof. Eyal Zisser | Published on  Feb 1, 2026

After massacring members of the Alawite community and Druze, Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa turned to deal with the Kurdish minority, now the only remaining obstacle to the establishment of an Islamic State of Syria. This is a state that enjoys a warm embrace from the international community, and especially from the US, while relentlessly persecuting its minorities. The new Syrian constitution adopted by al-Sharaa only recently formally guarantees freedom of worship for all religions. In practice, however, al-Sharaa views Alawites and Druze as heretics who, under Islam, deserve death. The Kurds, for their part, are seen as an ethnic minority that threatens Syria’s unity and territorial integrity, and therefore al-Sharaa offers them a stark choice: surrender or die.

For Iran, No Libya Scenario

Peloni:  This assessment mimics what I have stated before in large part.  Trump is not interested in regime change in Iran.  The closest he has indicated to countering this claim was when he stated it is time for a new leader in Iran, which calls to mind what he achieved in Venezeula.  I did believe that Trump would ultimately strike Iran, but his recent comments suggest that this may now be in doubt.  Time will tell if Trump will strike the regime at all, but I am more convinced than ever that it will be a limited strike, not in support of the Iranian people.

An Invasion is Unlikely

The Trump administration has fundamentally changed direction on Iran. US NATO Ambassador Matt Whitaker says the US will not try and force regime change in Iran, suggesting that “we don’t want another Libya scenario.”

A Hezbollah Terrorist’s Despair

By

A Hezbollah terrorist not very long ago revealed the extent of demoralization in the group, in an interview he gave to the Israeli broadcaster N12. More on his cri de coeur can be found here: “Majority of Hezbollah terrorists ‘work with Israel,’ Lebanese operative claims in N12 interview,” by Fraidy Moser, Jerusalem Post, December 25, 2025:

Israel has infiltrated Hezbollah so deeply to the extent that 70% of its terrorists are “working with Israel,” an anonymous terrorist in the Lebanese terrorist organization’s military wing claimed in an interview with N12 published on Thursday.

Trump Pulling BIBI Back Was So Catastrophic, It Could Be Israel’s Final Straw!

Peloni:  Thousands of lives changed following Trump’s first decision to save the Mullah regime in Tehran.  I hope he doesn’t make the same mistake again.  Iran is not interested in negotiations, they are not able to be reformed, and they are directly responsible for thousands of American dead, from Iraq, Beirut, terror attacks across the decades, and their role in supporting the drug trade entering the US.  The hemorrhaging of American victims of this regime, along with the victims of Israelis, Europeans and Iranians as well, can end but it will take the resolve of ending the regime in Tehran, rather than sending them a lifeline by which they can continue their operations of slaughter around the globe.

Jerusalem – The Palestinian Authority has failed to reform its education system despite repeated commitments to European donors, according to official European Union documents and national government reports spanning more than a decade. The findings raise serious questions about continued international funding for Palestinian education, particularly in Gaza, where schools continue to operate using jihadi textbooks under the guise of peace education.

Which Is Stronger: A Riviera Or An Ideology? – An Early Warning To President Trump

Peloni:  A short message for President Trump:  Your peace plan is based on previously failed fantasies, using previously used support of terrorists as peace makers, while expecting something different than the previously resulting wars and slaughters…

Without buying into this dichotomy, which is simplistic and maybe even immoral when applied to post-War Gaza, it is clear that, the answer is as follows: In the Arab world in general, ideology – both religious and nationalistic – is stronger than any Riviera, while in the West, the ideal of the good life, though not necessarily a Riviera, prevails.

Rafah crossing reopens for Gaza travel as Israel tightens remote security checks

Peloni:  More Israeli concessions amid more broken promises from their ‘peace partners’.  The Peace Processors are back in business making the same mistakes, similar demands, with no peace in sight.  In short, we are heading back to October 6 once again.  Forgive my sarcasm, but what was the point of the war?

[Podcast] ISIS IS COMING FOR THE ROJAVA KURDS!

Peloni:  The Kurds have been completely abandoned by the US.  Their identity, their culture, and their lives are intended to be ‘trusted’ to the terror govt in Syria.  While yet a third ceasefire over recent days has now been arranged, they have been given no choice.  As Prof. Gil-White asserts, they have no choice but to fight because no one is coming to help them.  They are on their own.

An MOR podcast

Francisco Gil-White | MOR | Jan 31, 2026

  • DESCRIPTION: The photo on the right shows young women fighters of the Yekîneyên Parastina Jin (YPJ) or Women’s Protection Units of the Syrian Democratic forces spearheaded by the Kurds who launched the democratic—and libertarian!—Rojava Revolution in northeastern Syria. The photo on the left, from just a few days ago (image credit: MEMRI), shows an ISIS jihadi monster—a soldier of the new ‘government’ in Damascus—celebrating that he killed one of these girls, bringing back her braid as a trophy. May the Lord rest her soul. Donald Trump has abandoned the Rojava Kurds, like we predicted he would. And Netanyahu obediently abandoned Syria when Trump gave the order. Nobody is coming to help the Rojava Kurds. Any agreement reached with Damascus, and any promises they take seriously from the US government, will spell their destruction. THE ROJAVA KURDS MUST FIGHT. There is no alternative.
