Islamic Republic ‘Mapping’ Locations of Jewish Diaspora to Attack if Israel Strikes

BY ELLIOT NAZAR, FOREIGN DESK    17.2.23

New information revealed that the Islamic Republic of Iran has been “mapping” the locations of the Jewish diaspora as part of laying the groundwork for a political assassination campaign if the state of Israel decides to strike the country’s underground nuclear facilities, according to Catherine Perez-Shakdam who has gained access to high-level members of the regime.

Back on track: FM Cohen overcomes diplomatic hurdles en route to thaw with Ukraine

T. Belman. The diplomatic situation is very complex. US and the EU want Israel on board in their condemnation of Russia and support for Ukraine. Israel wants them on board with its plans for construction in and annexation of Area C. and also with her plans for attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities..

And obviously, Israel doesn’t want to alienate Russia and wants to continue to attack Iran with Russian consent.

Top diplomat had to take two overnight trains to meet President Zelensky in freezing Kyiv, giving Netanyahu a little breathing room with the West

KYIV, Ukraine — Only six weeks into his tenure as foreign minister, Eli Cohen embarked on a trip that was as complex logistically as it was diplomatically.

Disagreements causing tensions in the Israel-Ukraine relationship have persisted since Russian forces invaded its neighbor 51 weeks ago. Kyiv wants Israel to stand firmly with the West, taking a clear moral position against Moscow and President Vladimir Putin. Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukraine’s Jewish president, also wants the Jewish state to offer its vaunted air defense technologies as a frustrated Russia attacks civilian infrastructure with missiles and drones.

Can the whole world be wrong?

A new book is essential to understanding the lunacy over Israel and the global jihad

By MELANIE PHILLIPS

Palestinian Arab who helped lynch two Israeli reservists in Ramallah, 2000

One of the mysteries of the war against Israel is the extent to which a monstrously twisted narrative about Israel and the Palestinian Arabs — casting the former as evil and the latter as sanctified victims — has been absorbed by so many people.

Still stranger, this narrative seems to be the driver of progressive politics. It’s not just that “intersectionality” demonises the Jews, but that it is driven by an obsession with Palestinianism.

Israel, US signal unprecedented cooperation in preparations against Iran

Israel may still end up having to take on Iran’s nuclear program on its own, says former intelligence official.

BY YAAKOV LAPPIN

On Jan. 26, the historic five-day joint Israeli-American military exercise called “Juniper Oak” came to an end. The exercise saw unprecedented levels of cooperation between the U.S. military’s Central Command (CENTCOM), which is responsible for the Middle East, and the Israel Defense Forces.

“Juniper Oak” tested Israeli-American readiness and boosted the operational connection between the two militaries to enable them to deal with “regional threats,” according to the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, but the intended target audience for this message seems to have been Iran.

Why keep pretending that Jews building homes prevents peace?

Palestinian terrorism and disinterest in a two-state solution ensure that peace is impossible. But the United States and its allies prefer to focus on Israeli housing starts.

By Jonathan Tobin

(February 16, 2023 / JNS) When the spokespersons for the U.S. State Department and the foreign ministries of America’s Western allies churn out press releases condemning the building of homes for Jews, it’s all a matter of finding a similar document in the archive, and just cutting and pasting the text and slapping a new date on it. Their joint statement denouncing Israel’s announcement of approval for the planning and building of 10,000 new homes in Judea and Samaria, as well as the government authorization of nine “outpost” settlements, was strictly by the book. It contained the requisite language about “unilateral acts,” “tensions” and opposing actions that “undermine efforts to achieve a negotiated two-state solution.”

What does it actually mean when people warn Israel is ‘turning into Hungary’

T. Belman.  This is a very long article so I extracted the key paragraphs which are enough to give you a clear picture.

By Eldad Beck, ISRAEL HAYOM

Hungary has become in the last few weeks one of a symbol. At the protests against the proposed judicial reforms and on television studios, people have been discussing how Israel is becoming like Hungary and comparing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Hungary’s prime minister, Viktor Orbán. Orbán is presented as an unrestrained political leader who consistently works to destroy Hungary’s democracy and replace it with an authoritarian regime, a kind of dictatorship.

The DNA of Intelligent Design

By Robert Arvay, AM THINKER

[…]
Much of the public is familiar with the term “DNA” because it is associated with court cases involving paternity lawsuits and criminal investigations. Few people are aware, however, that there is no proof that DNA does what many biologists have long been saying it does. DNA is clearly important to heredity, yes, but it is not the blueprint for your body. The evidence for that is potentially revolutionary in terms of science.

The Romans, not the Jews, killed Jesus

By Lewis Regenstein

For two thousand years, “the Jews” have been falsely blamed for the murder of Jesus. This charge of Deicide is the oldest and most damaging and pernicious of all the “blood libels” spread to provoke hatred and killing of innocent Jews by Christians through the ages.

But a careful reading of the Christian Bible, the “New Testament”, shows that it was not the Jews but the Romans who killed Jesus. Indeed, Jesus, his family, disciples,  followers and supporters were Jews, and they, like him, were the victims of the Romans, not the perpetrators.

Returning power to democracy: Understanding the Israeli judicial reform

Head of the Knesset’s Constitution, Law and Justice Committee explains the ‘Zion Will Be Delivered With Justice’ work plan. “Returning power to the Israeli democratic process, and bringing Israel in line with almost every known Western democracy”.

  Feb 15, 2023, 11:22?PM

Since the 1980s, Israel has experienced a “judicial revolution”. By judicially declaring Israel to have a constitution, the court usurped the legislative power. Using a unique and exclusive “reasonableness” doctrine, it also transferred the last word on all executive decisions, including appointments to ministerial positions, to its own hands. And above all, the court holds a preposterous veto power over the appointment of justices to its own body.

The United Nations Security Council is considering a draft resolution, seen by Reuters on Wednesday, that would demand Israel “immediately and completely cease all settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territory.”

The 15-member council is likely to vote on Monday on the text, drafted by the United Arab Emirates in coordination with the Palestinian Authority, diplomats told the news agency.

Washington’s failure to secure quiet in Judea and Samaria

Abbas’s reluctance to have the P.A. fight terrorism emphasizes the fact that his role as a possible peace partner expired long ago. Op-ed.

Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs.

P.A. chairman Mahmoud Abbas was outraged by the Feb. 12, 2023, decision of Israel’s Security Cabinet to recognize nine unauthorized outposts in Judea and Samaria. He issued a statement that the decision is a challenge to American and Arab efforts and a provocation to the Palestinian Arabs that will lead to further tensions and escalation.

Alan Dershowitz’s 3 compromises to fix Israeli judicial reform – opinion

T. Belman. Dershowitz claims the current battle is “not about democracy. It is about justice, the rule of law and minority rights”. “But when it comes to decisions regarding basic issues of civil liberties, human rights, minority rights, civil rights, due process, free speech, religious liberty, equal protection and other enduring aspects of individual liberty, the Supreme Court should have the last word. “

Not so fast. Israel is at war with the Palestinian movement and should have the right to keep them in check. i.e., no flag, no naqba, no total free speech. Israel must have the right to pass laws that protect the Jewish state and Zionism. even if that means discrimination against the Arabs in their quest for collective rights or the destruction of Israel.. Save for that I am all for minority rights.

The time has come for both sides of the hotly disputed proposals for judicial reform to sit down and work out reasonable and principled compromises. Each side has some good points and both sides overstate the dangers they fear. But neither side seems in the mood to compromise, since their ideologically driven views have considerable popular support.

Coalition Freezes Judicial Reform Bills to Open Possibility for Dialogue

T. Belman. Two bills are going ahead. “One concerns changes to the makeup of the Judicial Selection Committee and the other prohibits the Supreme Court from weighing in on Basic Laws, which have a quasi-constitutional status in Israel.”

By  Jewish News Syndicate (JNS)       15.2.23

The government on Wednesday delayed three bills it planned to put up for a Knesset vote, “in order to encourage dialogue” regarding its judicial reform program.

The first bill seeks to reverse the Supreme Court’s ruling that Shas Party leader Aryeh Deri cannot serve as a cabinet minister. The second concerns an override clause that would let the Knesset re-legislate laws overturned by the Supreme Court, and the third calls for placing the Police Investigations Unit under the minister of justice and granting it additional powers, including the ability to investigate attorneys.

New Samaria demolition reignites coalition crisis

Defense Minister Gallant again overrides Smotrich, orders Samaria demolition.

The Israeli Defense Ministry’s Civil Administration for Judea and Samaria uprooted a Jewish-owned orchard and olive grove in Samaria Wednesday morning, defying the instructions of Minister in the Defense Ministry Bezalel Smotrich (Religious Zionist Party).

Dozens of yeshiva and seminary students gathered at the olive grove and fruit orchard, owned by Hen Ben-Eliyahu and located in the Shilo Valley in the Binyamin district of Samaria, in an attempt to prevent the demolition.
