The Good Jew/Bad Jew demonization strategy

Hysteria over the new Israeli government will harm the wider Jewish world.

Dec 9, 2022, 9:44 AM

(JNS) One of the favorite strategies deployed by Jew-baiters is to divide the community into Good Jews and Bad Jews.

Good Jews have politically correct, progressive opinions. Jews who don’t hold with those opinions are Bad Jews. This distinction is helpful to Israel-bashers, who can use it to claim that they can’t possibly hate the Jews because there are Jews who support their hostility to Israel.

The White House this week hosted a round table on antisemitism to discuss the alarming escalation in attacks on American Jews. Yet the Biden administration conspicuously failed to invite to this discussion the Zionist Organization of America, the Coalition for Jewish Values and the Jewish Leadership Project.

Zeev ElkinHadas Parush/Flash90

According to a report in Ma’ariv, a plan is being hatched among the incoming Opposition aimed at sowing chaos in the new Netanyahu government.

According to the report, two senior members of the opposition – secretary of the Yesh Atid faction, MK Boaz Toporovsky and the National Union Camp’s Ze’ev Elkin – a former Likud lawmaker and Netanyahu ally – are drawing up a “Total War” plan which aims to disrupt the formation of the government during the legislative stages of the “Deri, Ben-Gvir and Smotrich laws.”

Will Marwan Barghouti be the Next Palestinian President?

by  December 2022

Barghouti is an imprisoned leader. I know what the white people in South Africa said about Nelson Mandela.
Member of Knesset Ahmad Tibi in an interview with Radio Israel, September 24, 2019

The first thing one sees after crossing the Qalandiya checkpoint from Jerusalem en route to Ramallah is a huge mural of Marwan Barghouti, the imprisoned Fatah leader who is seen by many Palestinians as the successor to Mahmoud Abbas. Next to Barghouti’s portrait is that of the late Yasser Arafat. Placing these two figures together implies an obvious unity; both are revered for their struggles against Israel. According to a recent poll conducted in September of Palestinians, if there were presidential elections for the Palestinian Authority and Mahmoud Abbas did not run for election, Barghouti would receive 41% of the votes; Ismail Haniya, the international leader of Hamas, would receive 17%; ex-Fatah leader Muhammad Dahlan—5%; the leader of Hamas in Gaza, Yahya al-Sinwar—4%; and Abbas’s confidant Hussein al-Sheikh—only 2%.

My twilight zone: Past, present and future

T. Belman. Anything Howard writes is worth reading. I have known him for many years.

The past cannot alter the present. Holocaust museums have not affected young Islamists who don’t believe it occurred. And the future?

TwilightFlash 90

The American television series was called “The Twilight Zone” written by and hosted by one Rod Serling. It was a long time ago but I remember it like it was yesterday.

The meaning of “Twilight Zone” according to Your Dictionary is “the mental state between reality and fantasy” or “An area of ambiguity between two distinct states or conditions” So, Serling’s dramas told stories of weird events and alternate worlds.

INTO THE FRAY: A tale of two narratives

By Martin Sherman

Since the Zionist narrative has demonstrable validity over the irreconcilable, mutually-exclusive counter-narrative of the Palestinian-Arabs, it is the Zionist narrative that must prevail

At the heart of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict lies a clash of two narratives. On the one hand the stirring, fact-based Zionist narrative, on the other, the openly conceded fabricated “Palestinian” narrative—which as one senior PLO official openly admitted “serves only tactical purposes”, and whose sole purpose is to function as “a new tool in the continuing battle against Israel.”

With doubts rising in Bahrain, Herzog seeks to get Abraham Accords back on track

Manama hints during president’s visit that it needs to see more from its economic relationship with Israel, while unlikely signs of hope emerge in next-door Qatar

A Bahraini official walks through the Al-Qudaibiya palace in Manama during President Isaac Herzog’s visit, December 4, 2022 (Lazar Berman/Times of Israel)

Shortly after President Isaac Herzog’s Arkia charter flight took off Monday evening from Abu Dhabi for his journey back to Israel, the plane contacted Saudi air traffic controllers and made its way northeast.

The presidential flight over Saudi Arabian airspace is a tangible sign of the progress Israel has made in a region that rejected overt cooperation for decades. Since the 2020 Abraham Accords normalization agreements, Saudi Arabia has allowed Israeli airlines to use its airspace for flights to and from signatories United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, and over the summer announced it would open its skies to all Israeli commercial flights.

‘There Is Pressure in Europe to Be Less Forgiving Toward Israel’: EU Braces for Face-off With Israel’s Far-right Gov’t

T. Belman.  I doubt that the EU will apply sanctions. It has learnt in the Ukraine War that sanctions can often hurt you more than the target. Like Russia, Israel will retaliate rather than succumb.  In addition the EU will be less likely to waste money on the Palestinians.

Israeli diplomats say they believe European Parliament members are already preparing for the change in power, but Jerusalem is calling their bluff. Europe ‘doesn’t take such harsh steps even regarding worse crises,’ one source said

Benjamin Netanyahu’s new government has yet to be sworn in, but there are already signs of conflict with the European Union. MEP Evin Incir of Sweden expressed opposition to the advancement of an intelligence-sharing agreement between the Israel Police and Europol organization, citing the composition of Israel’s future government. She says Israel’s police must not be allowed to use intelligence from Europe in the territories.

The real threat to modern Israel

T. Belman. I posted this article and the one just below because I am concerned that as their numbers continue to increase, there won’t be enough tax-payers to carry the burden.  As their numbers and influence grows it will cause many secular Jews to emigrate thereby aggravating the situation.

WHAT’S TO BE DONE ABOUT IT.

The percentage of people leaving the Haredi population has been estimated between 6% and 18%. To what extent does this lessen the problem.

By Dan Perry, MENA

Israel is one of the few countries whose fundamental character is imperiled. But the main threat is no longer external: it is the internal schism between the Haredi minority—the Ultra-Orthodox—and the rest of society that has the greatest potential to change the country at its the core.

The March 23 election could emerge as an inflection point because Haredi behavior during the coronavirus pandemic has underscored divisions, deepened mutual disdain, and convinced many Israelis things cannot continue as they are. There is a clamor for change.

Netanyahu Just Made a Major Concession to Israel’s ultra-Orthodox Parties. Here’s What It Means

T.Belman. The only hope I see is for the Israeli center to replace the the Hareidi as Likud’s coalition partner. For instance if the center supported the agenda of the Right in its policies regarding Area C and identity , then it would be a viable partner of the Right who could then be less giving to the Haredim.

Critics accuse Netanyahu of mortgaging Israel’s economic future by delinking educational funding from the requirement to teach core subjects such as English and math

By Sam Sokol, HAARETZ

Just months after a dispute over the extent to which Israel’s ultra-Orthodox schools should teach secular subjects threatened to tear apart the United Torah Judaism party, Prime Minister-designate Benjamin Netanyahu appears to have handed the ultra-Orthodox party an unprecedented victory.

If you don’t have time to watch the entire three hours, start at 1.26 for the most damaging information as relates to the CDC and the FDA.

No one knows how these gene therapy treatments are going to change the bodies of future generations as they change the genes of those whose parents might have received the shots.

U. Weiss. The latest Senate hearings conducted by Senator Ron Johnson on the genocidal, Luciferian Pfizer and Moderna injections. It’s 3 hours long and it was produced in conjunction with the journalist Del Bigtree’s network “The HIGHWIRE”. It’s mind boggling that not one from the mainstream media outlets was willing to bring the unraveling truth to the people of the world, attention.

Netanyahu appoints Smotrich de facto PM of the West Bank, gambles on restraining him

T. Belman. Horovitz clearly sets out Smotrich’s power and Bibi’s right to restrain him, if he can. How this will work in practice, I don’t know. If Smotrich and Bibi reach an impasse such as in E1, the winner will be the one ready to break up the government and go to new elections on the issue.

Bottom line is, Smotrich will force Bibi to stand up to more international pressure than he would like to.

Biden will have to decide how much pressure he should apply to Israel to keep the TSS alive during the upcoming US election season and during the rebellion of Europe regarding the Ukraine War.

And finally, how much pain is Israel willing to endure in exchange for Area C?

An extraordinary coalition deal gives the Religious Zionism leader ‘full responsibility’ in the biblical Judea and Samaria he seeks to annex, with only Netanyahu to hold him back

By DAVID HOROVITZ, TOI

Likud party leader Benjamin Netanyahu, right, and Religious Zionism party leader Bezalel Smotrich shake hands after signing a coalition deal in Jerusalem on December 1, 2022. (Likud)

In its four pages of closely typed text, the coalition “appendix” deal signed and released earlier this week by Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud and Bezalel Smotrich’s Religious Zionism party confers upon Smotrich what amounts to the prime ministership of the West Bank. Or rather, as Smotrich would most definitely term it, of the biblical Judea and Samaria.

The Never-Ending Two-State Delusion

by Efraim Karsh, Transatlantic Policy Quarterly (TPQ)

An agreement with the Palestinians, based on two states for two peoples, is the right thing for Israel’s security, for Israel’s economy, and for the future of our children,” Israel’s interim prime minister, Yair Lapid, told the UN General Assembly’s 77th Session on 22 September 2022. “We have only one condition: That a future Palestinian state will be a peaceful one. That it will not become another terror base from which to threaten the well-being, and the very existence of Israel.”[1]

Endorsed by the Zionist movement as early as 1937 when it was first proposed by a British commission of inquiry headed by Lord Peel, this “two-state solution”—a Jewish state and a Palestinian Arab state living side by side in peace and security—has become over time the standard solution to the Arab-Jewish conflict in the Holy Land. There has been, however, one insurmountable obstacle: the century-long Palestinian rejection of the idea of Jewish statehood—from the Jerusalem mufti Hajj Amin Husseini who led the Palestinian Arabs from the early 1920s to the late 1940s; to Yasser Arafat, who dominated Palestinian politics from the mid-1960s to his death in November 2004, and his successor Mahmoud Abbas; to the Islamic Resistance Movement (or Hamas as its Arabic acronyms know it).

Supreme Court: Brunson v. Alma S. Adams

EPOCH TIMES

‘The U.S. Supreme Court will decide whether it will take up a case that could overturn the 2020 elections and make representatives who voted to confirm the election ineligible to hold office in the future. The case, Brunson v. Alma S. Adams; et al, sues the members of Congress who voted against the proposed 10-day audit of the 2020 elections, alleging that doing so and then certifying the election regardless was a breach of their oath of office.

‘If the Supreme Court rules against Congress, it could potentially remove a sitting president and vice president, along with the members of Congress involved, and deem them unfit to hold office again at any level of U.S. government. It would allegedly also give the Supreme Court the ability to authorize the swearing-in of the rightful president and vice president.’

Former President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, who is married to his second son, Eric Trump, has been a fighting advocate for her father-in-law throughout his first campaign and subsequent presidency. Even after he didn’t make it to the White House for a second term, Lara continued to speak publicly with an eloquent fierceness on his and her family’s behalf, always steadfast in the fight for MAGA and ultimately the American people.
