How America’s Ukraine War response endangers our free-market democratic regime

T. Belman. This is a very important article.

By Alexander G. Markovsky, AM THINKER

The capitalist free-market system rests on three pillars: sanctity of contracts, inviolability of private property, and trust in the banking system.  Economic sanctions imposed on Russia led to the abrogation of existing contracts, expropriation of Russian companies’ properties, and freezing Russia’s government assets and bank accounts.  Moscow reciprocated by expropriating foreign assets on Russian territory.  The economic war triggered the collapse of the established exchange of goods and services.  The stability and solidity of the capitalist system reliant on economic interdependence dissipated and were replaced by black markets.

Why Israel will not talk to the PLO 1980

By Michael Bavly , Consul General of Israel in New England,    January 29, 1980

Ambassador Andrew Young’s resignation has long been a closed chapter. But the questions which were raised still linger: What is wrong in talking to the Palestine Liberation Organization? Doesn’t the PLO represent the Palestinians? How can there be peace in the Middle East without the PLO? The answers to those questions depend on understanding the PLO and its aims.

The PLO is a loosely grouped body of more than a dozen different factions, strongly supported by the Soviet Union. Some of these were created and are financed by various Arab countries, sometimes combining their efforts and sometimes fighting each other. It took its present form in 1964 with the adoption of the Palestinian National Covenant.

Unions are helping antisemitism gain a foothold in K-12 public schools

Endorsing BDS and teaching defamatory material on Israel has become mainstream.

By Irit Tratt

In recent years, anti-Semitism in the U.S. educational system has been primarily associated with the demonization of Israel at institutions of higher education. Activism that targets Jews and a rise in support for the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement among students and faculty underscores the increasing anti-Semitism on American campuses.

However, efforts to delegitimize the Jewish state are now moving from higher education to K-12 public schools. Attempts to falsely label Israel an “apartheid state” and promote similar forms of defamation are being aided and abetted by teachers unions and normalized by mainstream Jewish groups.

They have no business second-guessing Israel

T. Belman. Well said but I go further. These voices are also pushing the TSS on us.  That’s our business, not yours.

Apparently, the plucky, expert, and high-minded European diplomats know better than Israel about the inner workings and plotting of Palestinian terrorist-supporting groups.

By  David M. Weinberg, ISRAEL HAYOM

The penchant to pronounce judgement on every Israeli counterterror incident is becoming quite a fun blood sport for the unfriendly-to-Israel crowd. Too many foreign leaders have gotten into the increasingly vulgar practice of second-guessing Israeli security operations.

Pushing back against this is long overdue. Fortunately, Prime Minister Lapid and Defense Minister Gantz last week followed the lead of former Prime Pinister Naftali Bennett in repulsing the State Department’s call for a change in IDF rules of engagement in Judea and Samaria.

Twenty-One Years Ago Today, Some People Did Something, and No One Cares

BY

The September 11, 2001 jihad terror attacks were twenty-one years ago, and Americans have moved on. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Mogadishu) was widely ridiculed and even reviled a few years ago for breezily characterizing 9/11 as the day when “some people did something,” but she has had the last laugh: the coverage of the attacks every year is a study in avoidance, with the establishment media focusing on anything and everything besides the motivating ideology and goals of the attackers. As always, the media’s favorite preoccupation is the persistence of Muslim victimhood: every 9/11 anniversary, we’re inundated with stories about how Muslims suffered on that day, and continue to suffer, from racist and unwarranted suspicion that has made their lives in America, a land to which they came with so much hope, a veritable living hell.

Electoral Fraud Goes Mainstream

By Jack Gleason, AM THINKER

Want to intimidate or discredit someone you disagree with? If you’re a member of the mainstream media, just describe them as a “denier” or preface their concerns as “unproven allegations” or “discredited claims.”

NPR states… “Trump has endorsed 159 candidates who are election deniers [italics mine] for state and federal offices this year…” They continue… “From the standpoint of a fact-checker, there is no evidence of fraud sufficient to support that claim. After nearly two years of recounts, ballot reviews, expert examinations and court cases, that remains the bottom line. The 2020 election has been scrubbed and studied as none other in U.S. history, and the consensus conclusion remains that it was run more smoothly and counted more reliably than ever.”

Will Putin declare official war against Ukraine after heavy losses

News of the lightening offensive against Russian forces in the Kharkiv area of Ukraine by Ukrainian forces has spread around the world. The Russian retreat was so complete that Ukraine reclaimed 3000 square kilometers of territory from Russia and now stands 40km from the Russian border. So what will happen next?

Contrary to popular belief, Russia has never declared war on the Ukraine. Putin has only called this a limited military operation in order to defend the self declared independent provinces in the Donbass region of the Ukraine.

How Le Monde, ‘The Paper Everyone Reads,’ Discusses Israel and the Palestinians

T. Belman. Fitzgerald does great work.. Here, he reviews the role Le Monde has played in international affairs. Then he discusses a major article of theirs “Palestine, de la colonisation à l’apartheid.” Because Le Monde is such an influential paper  he wanted us to know “what the French elite are being fed about the Jewish state and the Palestinians.”

BY

Le Monde is the paper read by the French elite. It was founded in 1944 by the distinguished journalist Hubert Beuve-Méry at the behest of Charles De Gaulle. For a long time it deserved its reputation, for the excellence of its reporting and the elevated language (langue soutenue) in which it was written. But starting in the 1960s, it began its gradual leftwing turn in tone and content. De Gaulle himself, who had pushed for Le Monde’s creation, had deeply resented both the U.S. and the U.K. for having, in his view, paid insufficient attention both to him and to the interests of France. It was Churchill and FDR who met with Stalin in Tehran in 1943, to discuss the conduct of the war; it was again Churchill and FDR who met with Stalin at Yalta in the Crimea in 1945, to discuss how to manage the postwar world. De Gaulle was not invited to attend either conference. The Gaullist anti-Americanism metamorphosed into leftwing anti-Americanism in the pages of Le Monde.

Russia is losing in Ukraine – who will it blame? Analysis

T. Belman.  Yes Russia has been forced to withdraw from certain areas but it is too early to count them out.

If Moscow can blame its Ukrainian separatist partners for its failures, perhaps Russia can save face.

US Ambassador calls for Palestinian state: Situation in Judea and Samaria cannot continue

Ambassador Tom Nides argues that Israel should promote the two-state solution “in order to maintain a Jewish and democratic state.”

Ambassador Tom NidesGilad Kavalerchik

US Ambassador to Israel Tom Nides participated on Sunday in the World Summit on Counter-Terrorism of The International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT) at Reichman University and argued that the leadership in Jerusalem must support the two-state solution.

U.S., In shift, agrees to ‘substantive dialogue” with the PLO – 1988

By David B. Ottaway John M. Goshko, WAPO  15.12.88

In a major change in U.S. Middle East policy, Secretary of State George P. Shultz announced yesterday that the United States is ready to begin a “substantive dialogue” with the Palestine Liberation Organization and authorized the American ambassador in Tunisia to “make himself available” for contacts with its representatives. Shultz acted a few hours after PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat in Geneva declared in the most direct language he has ever used that the PLO has accepted Israel’s right to exist.

Trump sought to fire Kushner before failed 2020 campaign, book claims

T. Belman. I totally reject the notion that Trump lost because of the ineptitude of Kushner. Kushner broke all kinds of records in the campaign and Trump won massively but lost due to fraud.

Former US president Donald Trump agreed to fire his son-in-law Jared Kushner and replace him with far-right provocateur Steven Bannon, according to a new book written by former Trump aide Peter Navarro, The Guardian reported Saturday.

Navarro cites a June 25, 2020, entry in his own diary which said a meeting took place between Bannon and major campaign donors.

September 11, 2001 – NEVER FORGET

Tierney’s Real NewsShare

The Falling Man

At fifteen seconds after 9:41 a.m., on September 11, 2001, a photographer named Richard Drew took a picture of a man falling through the sky—falling through time as well as through space. People on the ground were gasping because people in the building were jumping.

He started shooting pictures through a 200mm lens. He was standing between a cop and an emergency technician, and each time one of them cried, “There goes another,” his camera found a falling body and followed it down for a nine- or twelve-shot sequence.

The picture went all around the world, and then disappeared, as if we willed it away.

Canada’s Conservatives set to embrace populist to take on Trudeau

By

Canada’s Minister of State for Democratic Reform Pierre Poilievre speaks during Question Period in the House of Commons on Parliament Hill in Ottawa December 3, 2013.

OTTAWA, Sept 1 (Reuters) – Canada’s Conservatives next month look set to embrace a career politician who has promised to fire the central bank governor and promoted bitcoin as an inflation hedge to become its fourth leader since 2020.

Having lost three consecutive elections to Liberal Justin Trudeau since 2015, the Conservative Party is keen for a leader like Pierre Poilievre, who is a skilled communicator and unabashedly right leaning, said one strategist who expects him to cruise to victory.

1100 Athletes Die From Sudden Death From 1966-2004,

At Least 673 Have Died Since January 2021, Number Likely Higher

By Margaret Flavin, GATEWAY PUNDIT          September 10, 2022

From January 2021 to April 2022, at least 673 athletes are said to have died from sudden death.  This number is only 428 deaths less than the 1100 known to have died as outlined by a study on sudden death in athletes from 1966 through 2004.  Those 1101 athlete deaths occurred over almost 40 years and yet 673 died over an only 16 month period since COVID vaccines have been introduced. Good Sciencing has that number closer to 1323 and includes a comprehensive list of each athlete death.

Tearing up the rules of engagement between Israel and America

The deepening row over the killing of Shireen Abu Akleh has exposed the excruciating error of Israeli strategy towards the Biden administration. Op-ed.

(JNS) A key strategy of Israel’s push-me-pull-you prime ministers, Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid, has been to refrain from publicly criticizing America’s policies in the Middle East.

By restricting to private discussions with U.S. President Joe Biden and his team Israel’s profound concerns over the proposed nuclear deal with Iran, Bennett and Lapid believed that a grateful American administration would reciprocate by advancing Israel’s interests.
