Peloni:  Many may be unaware of the fact that Dennis Prager has been hospitalized since last November related to a severe injury which he suffered following a fall.  Most will recall the warm report which existed between Dennis and his friend Charlie Kirk.  It was unfortunate that his comments were not included in the Charlie Kirk Memorial, but in Dennis’ first interview since his accident, he provides a few heartfelt reflections on the loss of his good friend and his regret that he was not able to join the memorial service as he would have wished to have done.

At UN, Trump Tells Arab and Muslim Leaders He Will ‘End the War in Gaza’  

Peloni:  Erdogan’s gleeful statement following this meeting was an early foreshadowing of concern following this meeting which excluded Israel’s participation.  Another point of concern came amid the news of  Trump’s statement that “I’m on the side of Israel. I’ve been on the side of Israel, really, my whole life, and we’re going to get a solution, and it’s going to be a solution that’s good for everybody.”  Yet this conclusion defies the fact that what is good for Israel, and for the West/US by extension, would not be good for those Arab govts who were included in the meeting with Trump, all of whom have been advocating for the war to end since before it began.

Meeting with regional powers in New York, Trump calls Gaza talks his “most important meeting” and vows to push for hostages’ release and permanent ceasefire.

Peloni:  Another Arab seeking peace while demanding Israeli concessions…Since coming to power, Jolani has done little to effect a peaceful transition to his Jihadist autocratic rule as he has demonized and butchered the minorities in his own country, and now demands that Israel withdraw from its buffer zone and, to recall the words of Amb. Barrack, have the Syrian minorities submit to the rule of this Syrian despot.  Rather than supporting minority submission to Jolani, Washington should be pressing for either autonomous minority regions in Syria, if not the more secure move to divide Syria into its parts, and by doing so, render Syria’s capabilities under any leadership that much less of a threat to regional peace.

Why capturing the last Hamas fighters alive should be Israel’s strategic—and moral—victory  

Peloni:  In reading Jalal’s description of how to complete this war, is it really in Israel’s interest to prosecute it with a priority on preserving life on the part of our enemies, or should it be in the pursuit of a decisive, albeit well tardy, victory over its enemies?  I think this is an important discussion to be had.  War should not be the pursuit of morality or legality, but of achieving deterrence to future wars.  In fact, war is the undoing of social norms where morality and legality are better represented than on the battlefield, and that when these values are misplaced on the battlefield it comes at the cost of not just losing the deterrent effect of war, but also at the precious cost of soldiers lives as well.  So, while I can grasp Jalal’s perspective is that a primary objective should be that of denying the remaining Hamas combatants the ability of claiming victory as martyrs, I still argue that a quick, effective, and decisive victory has always been what is needed in this war, and that this still remains the case today, albeit it is already nearly two years too late to describe any victory gained as being quick.

I am curious of what others have to say on this topic.

Trump taunts Russia as ‘paper tiger’ and tells Zelensky he will help Ukraine win all of its land back  

Peloni:  So no peace in Ukraine after all?  How exactly is it that Ukraine is going to regain its lost territory with a deficit in men, material, and morale with which it has struggled since the outset of the conflict, which Trump appears to now be backing.  While it is unlikely that Putin will react to this as a declaration of war, he will likely see it as a continuation of the Washington/European attempt to defeat Russia, to which Trump had previously been opposed.

An autocratic Turkey does not deserve US military aid  

Peloni:  The camel of has its nose well inside Europe’s tent.  While Europe is remolding itself into a collective of autocratic states protecting existing regimes, those regimes are themselves adopting positions receptive to Erdogan’s rhetoric of Jihad being ‘resistance’ rather than the conquest of Western society, which is the true aspirations of Hamas and its Muslim Brotherhood adherents, which includes Erdogan.  The window of salvation for Europe and European culture and society is closing fast, with only the indigenous, non-invading European peoples to push back the Jihadist invasion with which European leaders have saddled European society.  Indeed, already Europe is supporting Jihadi goals in Israel while pursuing autocratic projects such as judicially ignoring opposition electoral victories.  With this in mind, to what exactly is it that Europe might object about Erdogan’s Islamist autocratic take over of his country?

The Israelis have been furiously protesting against the Western countries, led by France and its anti-Israel leader, President Emmanuel Macron, that have announced their recognition of a “state of Palestine” in September at the opening of the UN General Assembly. Protests are not enough. Israel must make clear that it will answer this menace with a move of its own — to annex part, or all, of Judea and Samaria. It has a perfect right to do so. Judea and Samaria, not Tel Aviv and Haifa, are the places where Jews have lived and made most of their history over the past 3500 years. That area is the heart of their ancestral homeland. The Arabs arrived more than 2000 years later. That long history is what convinced the League of Nations to include all of Judea and Samaria in the territory assigned to the Mandate for Palestine, which would in time become the Jewish state of Israel.

Israel possesses overwhelming military superiority over Hamas. The IDF operates as a world-class military force, while Hamas consists of terrorists who deliberately hide behind civilian shields, placing munitions beneath hospitals, schools, and residential areas. Israel also holds the far stronger claim to contested territories. Peloni:  Israel should not give up its access to freedom of the skies over Lebanon or Syria til Hezbollah and other militias are disarmed and disbanded as has been ordered by repeated UN Security Resolutions.  Furthermore, the videos of dehumanization and slaughter which comes from the submission to Jihadists are quite accessible on the web following the Syrian attacks on the Alawites and the Druze.  Rather than submission, the end game which Barrack should be pursuing is coexistence, something which might be achieved by either the federalization or dismemberment of Syria, as opposed to centralized control which requires submission.

Peloni:  This is an important video.  As the reconstitution of the Jewish Homeland was recognized and established in international law following the San Remo Declaration and its certification by the League of Nations, it is vital that these facts become commonplace in today’s vernacular and discussions.  Indeed, this recognition of Israel’s reconstitution is the story which MUST be on the lips of every Israel’s leader, every Israeli supporter, and every Jew and Zionist, as they defy the steps being taken today by the UN, steps which only serve to demonstrate how far from afield this corrupted institution has strayed towards its exercise of arbitrary power devoid of legal precedent, justice, or history.  Israel is Jewish land.  It is ours by right of history, ancestry, and international law as established at San Remo, subsequent to being agreed upon in the League of Nations, and further accepted by the United Nations and we Jews alone are the surviving indigenous people of this land.  It is these rights which were tested and successfully defended in illegal wars of conquest brought against Israel beginning with its rebirth in 1948 and are continuing to this day.
