Who’s providing illegal construction in Area C?

Freedom of Information Petition: Who is providing electricity to illegal Palestinian construction?

The Regavim Movement has petitioned the Jerusalem District Court, after the Civil Administration refused to provide data on the extent of electricity connections apparently supplied by the East Jerusalem Electric Company, an Israeli subsidiary of the Israel Electric Company which is subject to Israeli law, for thousands of illegal Palestinian structures in Judea and Samaria.

A Game-Changing Achievement: “Mukhtar Protocol” Canceled

REGAVIM

Four years after we set out to abolish the problematic procedure by which property ownership was determined in East Jerusalem, the Mukhtar Protocol has been revoked.

The Mukhtar Protocol was one of the most corrupt, discriminatory procedures enforced by the State of Israel. In a nutshell, this longstanding procedural practice, which was used to establish ownership and as the basis for construction permits and other legal processes, replaced the requirement for documented proof of ownership with the say-so of local village “experts.” In East Jerusalem, the testimony of al local village chief (mukhtar) sufficed, as opposed to the burden of proof – actual Tabu records, deeds, or other documentation with legal standing and verifiability – required everywhere else. This strange, antiquated procedure was an open invitation to widespread fraud, resulting in the violation of proprietary rights of both Jewish and Arab owners.

How the Bennett-Lapid Government Ruled Over the West Bank

T. Belman. Don’t look to JPOST for honest reporting..  This article doesn’t mention illegal Arab construction after mentioning the increase in demolitions of Arab illegal construction in Bennett’s year in office. Why keep silent about the most important issue?

The presence of left-wing parties in the coalition did little to hinder the ‘change government’ from continuing construction in the West Bank and destroying Palestinian residences

By Hagar Shezaf, JPOST  26.6.22

Bracha would be considered a suburb of Nablus, probably going by a different name. The settlement, with its 3,000 residents, abuts the West Bank’s second largest city, but is relatively isolated. When people in Israel talk about “settlement blocs,” they don’t mean this one. And yet, over the last year, under the Bennett-Lapid government, it has taken a few steps to drive further stakes into the ground.

Economic Sanctions: Mission Failed

By Alexander G. Markovsky, AM THINKER

As America and the allies impose devastating sanctions on Russia for invasion of Ukraine, the Biden administration has outlined two objectives: destroy the Russian economy and create domestic pressure on President Vladimir V. Putin that would force him out of power.

The removal of Putin was enunciated as a prime objective of American foreign policy. President of the United States, Joe Biden, summed it up, “Putin cannot remain in power.”

Dobbs Reveals the Prospect of a Winning Right

The Left, and the spineless Right, have done everything that could be done to resuscitate the nerveless impotence that prevailed on the Right before Trump. Dobbs shows why that’s not going to h

Ah, the Babylon Bee once again dispenses news masquerading as satire. Or, rather, it is both satire and news at the same time. “Dems Pause January 6 Hearings To Call For Insurrection.” They don’t even bother to exaggerate anymore. Hark:

After closing down their presentation entitled ‘How Trump Undermined Institutional Authority,’ Democrats raced to join the crowd surrounding the Supreme Court building. ‘Rigged! Rigged decision!’ shouted Senator Elizabeth Warren. ‘Judges must no longer be allowed to hold power! We will never abide by an illegitimate decision by an illegitimate court. Fight, fight!’ she screamed as beleaguered police arrived in riot gear.

Social Justice Warriors and Their Greatest Victims

Why the Left is the worst enemy of every demographic it claims to support.

By Rabbi Chananya Weissman, FPM    June 24/22

The delusional sociopaths who identify as progressives are, as usual, just the opposite of what they claim. Everything they are forcing on society today – without our consent, like rapists – has been done before. If they were honest, they would identify as primitive, regressive extremists – even terrorists, for so many people live in abject terror of raising a peep of objection, and for good reason.

Homosexual marriage dates back to the times of Noach, when that little social experiment first brought God’s wrath upon the world. I’m sure He appreciates the way today’s love-spreaders chose the rainbow as their symbol for parading over thou-shalt-nots. They stick it in God’s face as they stick it in ours.

Democracy is not necessarily mob rule

T. Belman. Ryan neglects to mention that most democracies have a Bill of Rights of sorts to protect minorities from
majority rule..

Thus Israel can be both Jewish and democratic. The minority are protected in many ways but the majority rules.

By Bob Ryan, AM THINKER

There are a lot of people who incorrectly assume democracy is only mob rule. Democracy is not that limited a form of government. Like many words, it has more than one definition rather than an either-or meaning.

According to Merriam-Webster, democracy is defined as:

For Lapid, a battle against the odds to thwart Netanyahu’s comeback

T. Belman. As Horovitz points out, the right wing block is polling 59 to 60 seats now which means this time is different.  The public has got a taste of a centre left coalition and they don’t like it. Also, Horovitz doesn’t bother to report the many statements made by Lapid  concerning kissing Biden’s ass, that I am sure will hurt his standing.

He’ll have about four months in transitional office to establish his credentials — to show that a PM can both protect Israel from its enemies and champion unity at home

By DAVID HOROVITZ, TOI      23 June 2022,

Provided Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid can engineer the demise of their government more efficiently than they held it together, the Knesset will next week pass the final readings of legislation to dissolve itself and set new elections for this fall — marking the fifth time the Israeli electorate has been dragged to the polling stations since April 2019.

Lapid to face competing pressures on Iran policy

Lapid must formulate Iran policy when he takes office this week, faces IDF support for Iran deal, Mossad opposition to it.

One of the most important policies which Yair Lapid will be required to formulate for himself when he becomes Prime Minister this week is policy on Iran.

Israel Hayom reported Sunday morning that Lapid would be subject to pressure to reverse the policy of the Netanyahu and Bennett governments of opposing the Biden Administration’s intention to return to the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.

Hezb’allah encourages Lebanese theft of Israeli natural gas

By Darlene Casella, AM THINKER

The Mediterranean Levant Basin is offshore to Israel, Lebanon, Syria, and Cyprus. It could hold 120 trillion cubic feet of gas. This is enough to supply energy for the region and Europe.  Israel has two huge gas fields, Leviathan and Tamar, as well as other smaller gas fields, which are part of Israel’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) in that basin.

The Karish natural field is one of these. Gas was discovered there in 2016, Karish is owned by Energean Israel.  In 2017 the Israeli Minister of Energy approved development.

Underfunding UNRWA will lead to its collapse, agency head warns

T. Belman.  UNRWA should be replaced by UNHRC.  The latter is dedicated to resettling refugees throughout the word. The former is dedicated to preserving their refugee status for ever.

Lazzarini: It’s not enough to renew the mandate, UN nations must provide funds for it. Failure to do so would “push the agency towards financial collapse.”

Chronic underfunding of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency that services 5.6 million Palestinian refugees will lead to its collapse, warned UNRWA Commissioner General Philippe Lazzarini.

“We need US $817 million. The full US $817 million,” Lazzarini said as he asked the donor conference at UN headquarters in New York on Thursday afternoon to help his organization fund its $1.6 billion budget for 2022.

The Five Reasons SCOTUS Overturned Roe

By  Casey Spencer Brown, TOWNHALL

The Supreme Court’s opinion released Friday is the culmination of decades of work by pro-life activists and comes amid an unprecedented level of hostility toward members of the high court who believed that the “right” to abortion created in Roe and revised in Casey was based on flawed legal reasoning. While the left is already planning for a “night of rage” in response to the decision overruling Roe that merely returns abortion policy-making power to the people and their elected representatives, here’s what Justice Alito said were the five factors that weighed strongly in favor of overturning Roe and Casey.

The Nature of the Court’s Error:
