Palestinians Reject U.S. Demand for Normalization Between Israel, Arab World

By Jack Khoury, HAARETZ

Palestinian Authority officials are in discussions with their U.S. counterparts ahead of the meeting between Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and U.S. President Joe Biden in Bethlehem this Friday.

Palestinian sources and Western diplomats speaking with Haaretz expressed discontent over the positions Washington has presented them so far, saying it appears that Biden will only address economic issues and not the diplomatic ones.

The Crusader Reconquest of Acre

By Raymond Ibrahim, AM THINKER

Today in history, the important fortress city of Acre fell back to Crusader hands, and in so doing ushered in the Third Crusade, arguably the most bloody and violent of all crusades.

Following the decisive battle of Hattin in 1187, Sultan Saladin went on to conquer Jerusalem and most other Christian kingdoms, including coastal Acre.  Elated by his success, he vowed not only to eliminate all Crusaders from the Holy Land, but to invade Europe and “pursue the Franks there, so as to free the earth of anyone who does not believe in Allah, or die in the attempt.”

Settlers fear Israel is weighing the retroactive legalization of Palestinian homes in Area C as a gesture to US President Joe Biden that would be announced during his visit, Yesha Council CEO Yigal Dilmoni said on Monday.

“We are talking about scores of illegal Palestinian sites,” Dilmoni said, as he clarified that he did not know which specific areas were on the table.

Why Biden’s ‘Gestures’ to the Palestinians Will Not Bring Peace or Stability

by Bassam Tawil, GATEDSTONE  •  July 12, 2022

  • The Biden administration might do itself a favor if it understood that previous “gestures” made by Israel did not contribute to peace and stability in the region, and did not advance any peace process between the Israel and the Palestinians.
  • There is much that the Palestinian Authority can do to ease tensions and help create a suitable atmosphere for the resumption of the peace process with Israel. The PA could, for example, stop the incitement against Israel, halt payments to families of terrorists, condemn terrorism and crack down on terror groups operating under its control.

Israelis are grossly misinformed

Israelis  have no idea about the electoral fraud committed by Democrats to elect Biden nor of the various abuses being perpetrated against Trump supporters.

PEW RESEARCH

Most Israelis Express Confidence in Biden, but His Ratings Are Down From Trump’s
Americans’ views on Israel differ sharply by party and age

WASHINGTON, D.C. (July 11, 2022) – As President Joe Biden embarks on his first visit to Israel as president, he does so against an amicable backdrop: A large majority of adults in both Israel (89%) and the United States (74%) think current bilateral relations are in good shape. More than half in each country also have a favorable view of the other country, though 83% of Israelis have positive views of the U.S. compared with just 55% of Americans who say the same about Israel. (Note: The Israeli survey took place from March 16 to May 1, 2022 – prior to the collapse of the governing coalition and Yair Lapid taking over as the interim prime minister.)

Discrimination on the basis of gender identity violates federal law

T. Belman.  I had no idea that western governments have criminalized the refusal to use preferred pronouns as discrimination.  STOP THE MADNESS..

You can be fired if you refuse to call people by their preferred pronouns

By Smith Amundsen

If the employee is at-will, they can be fired for any non-discriminatory reason (or no reason at all); and, intentionally using the wrong name or pronoun to refer to a coworker is certainly a non-discriminatory reason.  Even if the employee has “for cause” protection through an employment contract, there’s a pretty good chance that intentionally misgendering their coworker is sufficient cause to terminate, especially if they’ve been previously warned about similar behavior.

Self-control, or government control?

By Eric Utter, AM THINKER

Former Speaker of the House Robert Winthrop once noted, “All societies of men must be governed in some way or another. The less they may have of stringent state government, the more they must have of individual self-government. The less they rely on public law or physical force, the more they must rely on private moral restraint. Men, in a word, must necessarily be controlled either by a power within them or a power without them, either by the Word of God or by the strong arm of man, either by the Bible or the bayonet.”

This is why today’s hyper-secular progressive Democrats disdain religion. When it comes down to the brass tacks of what they value, government control best self-control.

Major Israeli study: COVID death rate among elderly slashed by 72% after 4th vaccine

Israel raced to give extra boosters before most countries in December; research also shows shots cut hospitalization by over 60%; says study author: ‘They’re lifesavers’

10 July 2022,

Fourth COVID-19 vaccine shots have provided a 72 percent reduction in death rates among the most vulnerable Israelis, according to new peer-reviewed research.

The finding comes from a large Israeli study that analyzed data on elderly people in care homes who received four shots, comparing them to those who only took three. It was conducted during last winter’s coronavirus outbreak, which was dominated by the Omicron variant.

Shurat HaDin says journalist killed by Palestinians, not by Israeli soldier

T. Belman.  In a recent comment, I wrote,  I wouldn’t put it past the PA to kill the reporter using a stolen Israeli gun and bullet. It would not have been the first time that it staged a murder to frame Israel.

JERUSALEM – The head of Israeli civil rights organization Shurat HaDin-Israel Law Center pinned the responsibility for the death of Shireen Abu Akleh, an Al-Jazeera journalist, on Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas in a complaint filed with the International Criminal Court, Fox News Digital can now reveal.

“It is obvious that the PLO’s (Palestine Liberation Organization’s) terrorist gangs in Jenin are the more reasonable shooters to be suspected and held liable for the reporter’s death,” Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, president of Shurat HaDin-Israel Law Center, who filed the suit, told Fox News Digital.

Gantz and Sa’ar sign political merger

By Ted  Belman.

As Min of Defence, Gantz gave away Area C. by permitting the illegal Arab construction.  He also kissed up to Abbas begging him to stop the violence that Abbas was responsible for.  He also turned a blind eye to Abbas’ support of terrorism and kept giving the PA more money. He should never be Min of  Defense let alone the Prime Minister. Sa’ar, who used to fashion himself as a right winger when he was in Likud, should now be held responsible for the policies of Gantz because he is  supporting him.

If this is the center, I want no part in it.

Any party that doesn’t pledge itself to keep all of Jerusalem and all of area C should not be supported.

Ben-Gvir responded to the reports as well, saying, “The union between Sa’ar and Gantz shows Sa’ar’s desire to connect with the Left. Benny Gantz, who has proven to be a leftist who wants to promote Oslo II, meets with the terrorist Abu Mazen [Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas] and makes him relevant.

Israel, the Victor, Should Demand Palestinian Concessions Ahead of Biden Visit

by Karma Feinstein Cohen, JNS   July 6, 2022

Ahead of U.S. President Joe Biden’s upcoming visit to the Middle East, the Palestinians are demanding that the Americans capitulate to their demands to reopen a U.S. consulate in Jerusalem that would serve the Palestinians, remove the PLO from the U.S. list of designated terrorist organizations and reopen the PLO office in Washington D.C. All this will put pressure on Israel to stop its preventative security operations in Judea and Samaria and come to the negotiating table.

Israel should take this opportunity to make demands of its own.
