Leaders promise to ‘pursue terror everywhere’ as security forces search for suspects

Following the shooting attack earlier today in which six people were killed and and at least 12 others were injured, Israeli leaders expressed their outrage at the shooting, and the need to confront the terror sources which led to it.

President Isaac Herzog was one of the first to comment on the shooting, calling it “a painful and difficult morning.”

Mark opens his Saturday show by sharing a clip of Rep. Rashida Tlaib from the recent People’s Conference for Palestine in which she makes the claim that land was stolen from the Palestinians during the founding of the state of Israel.  Mark reminds us of the fact that the founder of the Palestine movement on which Tlaib is speaking was actually Yasser Arafat who was born in Egypt, that the land which she claims was ‘Palestinian’ land was actually land described in the Bible as Shiloh which was Jewish land.  Mark also reminds us that the Palestinians living in Jordan tried to overthrow that country in 1970, explaining that this is why no other Arab nation will accept the Palestinian Arabs into their country.

Fortunately, the plot was uncovered in early September and the would-be murderers from the “Hebron area,” according to reports, are now in custody.

This news item is among the first international news out of the “Hebron area” to break since Elliot Kaufman’s Wall Street Journal op-ed on July 5, “A New Palestinian Offer for Peace With Israel,” which offered a naive and misguided view of the potential for peace in the region. Kaufman reported that local sheikhs in Hebron could take the lead in peace efforts with Israel, ignoring the complexities and political realities that make such an idea not only impossible and impractical but dangerous.

The ‘open letter’, billed as a “Jewish Orthodox response” and a “call for moral clarity” against Israel has been written up by anti-Israel outlets like the New York Times, JTA and The Forward is mostly made up of anti-Israel activists and leftists, appeasers and the completely deluded.

Peloni:  Trump demands that Hamas release all 48 remaining hostages, while Israel releases hundreds of terrorists and thousands of detainees, and following this, all hostilities should halt while a negotiated end to the war is pursued.  This is a very bad plan.  Prioritizing the fate of the Hostages over the defeat or UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER of Hamas should be understood to be a victory for Hamas.  Instead of this, the Hamas leadership in Doha should be transferred to Israel, where they are placed on trial for crimes against humanity.   Alternatively, Israel should take out the leadership in Doha as part of its campaign to take over Gaza City.

Janet Levy:  This isn’t even a topic of discussion in the U.S. today!  Sanguine Trump devotees imagine he’ll handle the problem somehow, although he’s probably not talking about it for several reasons.

Trump wrangled the Michigan vote through his daughter’s father-in-law, Massad Boulos, now his senior advisor, and brought the mayor of Dearbornistan into his administration.  He has been negotiating with the terrorist state of Qatar and AQ terrorist Al-Jolani of Syria.  Trump, his Middle East envoy and others have done extensive business with the Emir, who Trump refers to as a “good friend.”  In fact, this year, he inked a $1.2 trillion “economic exchange” with the Hamas-funding nation that has successfully propagandized in our schools and universities.

Note that the Islamic infiltration was discussed more openly 10 years ago. The media, our religious organizations with their “interfaith” programs and select government officials have contributed greatly.  We certainly lost Newsmax after they accepted $50 million from Qatar!

There would be nothing more wondrous than true peace by an Arab state with Israel. But what you will read below, however, is why my growing suspicion and fear about true peace with any Arab and Muslim state, (in this case with the UAE) was immediately confirmed when I realized that the “breakthrough” known as the Abraham Accords was not anything to be embraced, but rather to be deeply suspicious of. And sure enough, as soon as the decision was made by Prime Minister Netanyahu to finally redeem the lost Jewish lands of Judea and Samaria, which have been illegally occupied by first Jordan and subsequently by the deeply hostile Arabs who call themselves Palestinians, the United Arab Emirates declared that it would end any participation and involvement in the Abraham Accords.

Peloni:  One of the great pillars of American society has been the edict of equality before the law.  It is this dictum which provided Jews, among other minorities, the ability to climb to the heights of the economic, social and political ladder in America.  Hence, in its campaign of insanity to re-interpret old laws, and completely imagining new ones out of whole cloth, in its effort to first block and later unseat Pres. Trump from power, the Left has abused its power towards the purpose of re-imagining America as some form of medieval European autocracy, one in which the elites control everything, even the standards of justice and by which measure they might be applied based on  the benefit which it provides to these elites.  This retrograde sense of king’s justice is not what drew the world to envy America over the generations, but it is what has come to be preferred over the past near decade ‘to get Trump’.  While this warped application of law began being applied in an assault on the president, it was later leveraged against the thousands who attended the Jan 6 protest, later labeled an insurrection, and it is currently being used to protect terror advocates and demonize Jewish children on college campuses.  The upside down sense of unjust justice in America which has replaced the previous standard of law enforcement, must be ended, for people of both great and small statures, which was once the hallmark upon which American justice was judged.

After a recent U.S. State Department decision, much of the world has reacted with outrage, vehemently opposing what is in reality a prudent and long-overdue American policy. The cause of the uproar? The Department of State (DOS) has revoked visas for Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas and 80 PA officials, preventing them from attending the upcoming United Nations General Assembly in New York City, scheduled for September 9 to 23.

The DOS statement affirmed: “It is in our national security interests to hold the PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization) and PA (Palestinian Authority) accountable for failing to honor their commitments and for undermining prospects for peace.” It further emphasized that only groups that “consistently repudiate terrorism, including the October 7 massacre, and end incitement to terrorism in education” can be regarded as credible partners for peace.
