The Two-Tiered Justice System That Is Tearing Israel Apart

Peloni:  The more that Judicial Reform is blocked, the greater the support for its passage becomes, specifically because of the public recognition of this need only grows stronger with each passing day and each subsequent ruling based on arbitrary standards and the promotion of anti-Israel positions from the courts.  There can only be one standard of justice in any democratic govt, and yet, in the only democracy in the Middle East, a two-tiered policy is weaponized to promote one standard which maintains the influence and agenda of the Leftist bureaucracy.

While left-wing Kaplan protesters blocked major highways night after night for hours on end in the judicial reform protests, bringing life in Israel to a standstill, the police often stood by, sometimes even joining them. Leaders of those protests faced no serious consequences, even after burning tires in the middle of major highways. Violence during those daily blockades? Rarely punished. The message was loud and clear: certain protests are protected.

Yet Reut Ben Chaim, chairwoman of the right-wing Tzav 9 movement, has now been charged by the courts for blocking trucks down by the Egyptian border carrying what was called “aid” to Hamas in the middle of a war to free our hostages and destroy the enemy that massacred us on October 7. No Israelis were stuck in traffic because of her actions. No violence was used. No one was harmed. But she faces punishment.

Reut Ben Chaim is a mother of eight who did what so many Israelis wished they could do: she stood up and protested the insane policy of feeding our enemy while we were fighting a war to destroy Hamas and bring our hostages home.

Everyone in Israel knew the truth, Hamas was stealing the aid for itself, using it to strengthen its terror machine, and selling whatever was left over at exorbitant prices to its own population in Gaza. No sane country supplies its enemy in the middle of a war, especially when that enemy is still holding hostages and vows to repeat October 7. Yet Israel did so under tremendous international pressure.

Reut is a hero for boldly saying what the majority of Israelis quietly agreed with. For that, she is now being punished by a blatant two-tiered legal system, one standard for the political left, and another for proud Jews who dare to stand up for our people and our soldiers.

This is not justice. This is the epitome of a two-tiered legal system, one law for the left, another for everyone else.

Think about the hypocrisy that screams to the heavens. When ultra-Orthodox protesters block roads, the police move in with force, the mainstream media labels them “extremists,” and the country is told this is a threat to democracy.

But when the Kaplan protestors and left-wing activists paralyzed the country for a year during the so-called “judicial reform protests”, blocking airports, major highways, and military bases, openly encouraging mass refusal to serve, and severely damaging the Air Force’s readiness, the same media and legal system treated it as sacred democratic expression. Not one person was held accountable.

Documents recovered by the IDF in Gaza prove that Hamas itself admitted they were emboldened to launch the October 7 massacre precisely because of the chaos and perceived weakness caused by those protests.

One side gets kid gloves. The other side gets the full weight of the law.

This is not a justice system. This is a political weapon in the hands of unelected bureaucrats, senior officials in the legal establishment, and parts of the mainstream media who believe they, not the voters, should decide Israel’s policies. They use the law selectively to stop proud Jewish activity, to weaken religious and right-wing communities, and to protect their own vision of what Israel should be, a vision that too often puts the enemy’s comfort above our security.

Reut Ben Chaim and Tzav 9 were trying to stop trucks from strengthening Hamas while our hostages were still in tunnels and our soldiers were fighting. They were acting out of love for Israel, out of a refusal to feed the enemy during wartime. And for that, she is targeted.

Meanwhile, the chaos and double standards created by the other side are downplayed or celebrated.

This hypocrisy fuels the very division and hatred they claim to oppose. The headlines Israelis read every day, the news they watch and hear, blame the right, the religious, the ultra-Orthodox, while ignoring or excusing the disruption caused by those on the political left. The public sees it. They feel it. And it deepens the rift.

There must be one law for all. If blocking roads is illegal, then it is illegal for everyone, regardless of the reason, regardless of the politics. No favorites. No sacred cows.

Israel cannot survive with a justice system that functions as an arm of one political camp. Reforming this broken system is not a luxury. It is essential for healing our nation, restoring trust, and ensuring that the rule of law actually serves the people, all the people.

The double standard must end. The selective enforcement must stop. And those who weaponize the law against their fellow Jews must be held to account.

We deserve better. And we all must vote for the parties that demand a justice system focused on equal justice worthy of the Jewish state. We will achieve it!

Am Yisrael Chai!!!

P.S. For anyone who thinks posts like this are divisive, especially during the Three Weeks, please consider this: the major news we are fed day in and day out is itself deeply divisive. Many people trust the Jewish/Israel mainstream media, but the real story, the blatant double standard in our justice system, is rarely told. As a result, too many Israelis and Jews worldwide are being blinded to the truth and the reality we face.

Most people in this country genuinely want unity. We love one another. We are one people fighting for our survival. But there is a despicable deep state, unelected officials and their allies in the media and legal system, that hides the truth, fans hatred between us, and diverts our attention to the things they want us to fight over, all so they can return to power.

True unity can only be built on truth. That is why I speak out. I try to be a voice of reason and clarity, helping people understand what is really going on, so we can stand together as one nation with moral strength and purpose.

We will overcome. Strengthen your belief in Hashem and share the truth. We are all Reut Ben Chaim!!
