“Insofar as Israel jeopardizes the Iran deal, it is a U.S. adversary. Russia, on the other hand, is an important partner in getting the deal across the finish line.

“Putin supplied the deterrence that protected the only foreign policy goal that really mattered to Obama. With Putin in Syria, Israel could only go so far.”

Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine was precipitated by assurances from China, Germany, and the United States that each of Russia’s major trading partners either backed his position or had zero interest in getting in his way. President Joe Biden’s invitations to Putin to bite off more chunks of Ukraine made it clear that America was not interested in a fight with the Russian dictator in his own backyard. Surely, the mighty Putin would make quick work of the Ukrainians. After all, he helped put down the Syrian rebellion to preserve Iran’s stake in Syria, and thereby sealed Barack Obama’s nuclear deal with the clerical regime in Tehran. So why make a big fuss, especially since at the same time Putin is intent on breaking Ukraine, he is also brokering the new Iran deal with U.S. negotiators in Vienna?

Reflecting on the willingness of people to fight for their own.

The last two weeks we have been inspired by the brave resistance of Ukraine’s people to the brutal violence of the Russian invaders. Outmanned and outgunned, the Ukrainians have continued to fight against overwhelming odds, even as the invaders answer their resistance with atrocities like the bombing of a maternity hospital in Mariupol.

The paradox is that both sides in this war are in part motivated by nationalist loyalties that the transnational “new world order” has proclaimed are quaint superstitions and folkways at best, and intolerant promulgators of xenophobia and violent aggression at worst. What the Russo-Ukrainian war shows is that patriotic nationalism, like pretty much everything we humans do, can be good or bad, depending on the intentions and purposes it serves.

T. Belman.  Shapiro seems to be saying that only nationalism can defeat nationalism. A variation of this idea is that if you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything.  Furthermore, that America is no longer nationalistic. It has embraced the NWO which til now, was the World Order.

Shapiro sees the downfall of the NWO as a bad thing. He argues that the defeat of the supremacy of the NWO will release the “floodtides of global chaos.” The NWO emasculates nationalism and identity. Not every country/people is willing to give up their nationalism/identity for a world without borders and a diminishment of sovereignty, culture, family and faith.

So I put it to my readers, is the NWO a good thing or a bad thing?

When it comes to events in Ukraine, my heart bleeds for the ordinary citizens who, just weeks ago, lived peaceful, relatively prosperous Western-style lives. They’re now wounded, dead or, if they’re “lucky,” they’re refugees with nothing but the clothes on their backs. What we are witnessing is a terrible crime against humanity. Having said that, I keep finding myself reserving judgment about everything else. I’ve learned that many stories are fake (even if the truth is equally sad and bad) and I don’t trust what’s coming from the Biden administration, the media, or our politicians. My confusion was worsened yesterday with news that, not only is Russia an important negotiating partner in the disastrous Iran deal Biden so badly wants, but it’s also going to get massive contracts to build nuclear sites.

T. Belman. Turley explains what the New World will look like. The war in Ukraine is a catalyst to its birth.

Israel fits in to this New World entirely as it is quintessentially, a civilizational state, perhaps the oldest.

West Bank settlement growth is “infuriating” but not every settler home can be blocked, said US Ambassador to Israel Tom Nides, explaining however that he had worked to halt the advancement of the controversial E1 project.

“We can’t do stupid things that impede us for a two-state solution,” Nides told the left-wing group Americans for Peace Now during a virtual event on Tuesday. “We can’t have the Israelis doing settlement growth in east Jerusalem or the West Bank. I’m a bit of a nag on this, including the idea of settlement growth – which infuriates me, when they do things – just infuriates the situation, both in east Jerusalem and the West Bank.”

Bengaluru, India – The ban on hijab in colleges in the southern Indian state of Karnataka has triggered a major row amid growing concerns that the attacks on Muslim symbols and practices are part of the larger Hindu far-right agenda of imposing majoritarian values on minorities.

The country’s 200 million Muslim minority community fear the ban on hijab violates their religious freedom guaranteed under India’s constitution. The US ambassador-at-large for International Religious Freedom on Friday said the hijab ban would stigmatise and marginalise women and girls.

Leftists see Nazis, Nazis everywhere. Everyone who opposes the Left’s agenda is a Nazi. Anyone who stands for freedom and human rights against their jihadi allies is a Nazi. If someone, even an agent provocateur, carries a Nazi flag into a demonstration, then automatically everyone there is a Nazi, and the cause itself is a Nazi one. We saw this recently with the Freedom Convoy in Canada, where someone, likely a government or Leftist plant, carried a Nazi flag around, and even though the real protestors told him to leave and made sure he did so, Justin Trudeau and his henchmen immediately began to claim that the entire Freedom Convoy was a Nazi enterprise that must be disavowed by all decent people.
