For years, Israel warned that Hamas had infiltrated UNRWA. Now, UNRWA has dismissed 70 Gaza employees linked to terrorist organizations—validating those warnings. No terrorist belongs on the UN payroll. Ever. There’s no excuse.
Peloni: As a strong independent Israel makes for an even stronger, more independent America. This was true in the past, and it will be true in the future. The leash which holds Israel at bay restrains its ability to not only act in ways which benefit and protect the Israeli people, but which would benefit and protect the American people as well. Recall that if not for an unrestrained Israel in 1981, America would have been facing a nuclear Iraq when it chose to face down Saddam Hussein in 1990.

For over half a century, the foreign policy establishments in both Washington and Jerusalem have maintained a polite geopolitical fiction: that Israel is a strategic charity case, permanently indebted to the United States for its survival. This narrative is a calculated lie. Israel was never “saved” by America. Historically, the inverse is truer. When Israel stood on the precipice of total, landscape-altering victories, Washington systematically used its leverage to halt operations mid-battle to protect its own diplomatic equities.
Peloni: Moshe Phillips captures the real context of the political divide in Israel, ie Hawks and Doves. Indeed, this Israeli reality stands as a stark contrast to the socio-economic issues which dominate most of the rest of the world’s political divides. Notably, Trump’s move to quash a war in Iran to deal with rising energy costs at home demonstrates this distinction which again contrasts with Bibi having no such interest in prioritizing economics over security matters. Notably, in Israel the issue of land settlement joins the two issues of security and economics together as one. The actions under the current govt has demonstrated an acknowledgement in moving towards this goal in measurable but cautious ways, even as it was elected by a pre-October 7 electorate while being spurned to act by the post-October 7 realities. So, with this in mind, what might we expect the next govt to do, ie one chosen by an electorate wisened by the tragedies of the past three years. The possibilities are quite encouraging.
The history of the right vs. left ideological divide in Israel has taken a strange turn in the aftermath of October 7, after it was the mostly left-leaning kibbutzim who were invaded.

Social scientist and pro-Israel author Rael Jean Isaac passed away in New York late last month at the age of 93. Together with her late husband, Erich Isaac, and their colleague Edward Alexander, Dr. Isaac was a central figure in a group of activist intellectuals who were at the forefront of pro-Israel advocacy for many decades with much of this work being done through Americans For a Safe Israel (AFSI), of which she was a founder.
After the New York and New Jersey Democratic primaries, it now seems likely that the next freshman class of the House will include Dariazila Avila Chevalier, a Muslim convert who co-founded an organization that tweeted “Death to America” and who bragged, “I forgot to get napkins so I just wiped my hand on the American flag” as well as Hisham ‘Adam’ Hamawy: an associate of the Blind Sheikh terrorist leader who testified on his behalf at his terror trial.
Peloni: When PM Netanyahu states that “I am expanding the national camp,” it is an acknowledgement that the national camp has expanded. The opposition to the national camp has weakened and today even Lapid dares not embrace the specter of the Two State Solution, even as the Americans continue to harbor such eventualities. The question arises then, which candidate will actually be capable of telling the Americans no when such an eventuality comes to be once again realize.

Peloni: Rabbi Pesach Wolicki provides the context of the collapse of Israeli-Turkish relations as it relates to the rise of Erdogan and his maturing radical views. He also relates this context to the recognition of the Armenian Genocide being a formal declaration by Israel that the relationship is so well depleted that it is beyond all hope of repair.

The name Netanyahu first appeared in the world’s news headlines fifty years ago this month, thirty years before Benjamin Netanyahu was originally elected Israel’s prime minister.
Concerns are growing among residents of communities near the West Bank (Judea and Samaria) and parts of central Israel that the FPV drone threat seen in Lebanon could spread to their areas.
Hezbollah has increasingly used first-person-view (FPV) drones against IDF troops in southern Lebanon and communities along Israel’s northern border.
Peloni: Misgav’s Laura Cellier provides insights regarding Turkey’s mounting radical Sunni axis as well as a further look at Iran’s conflicting position with Trump’s MOU.
Peloni: As I noted in my earlier preface on Israeli governmental recognition of the Armenian Genocide, it is better described as ‘ethnic cleansing’, which is altogether different from what the word ‘genocide’ portends.

Although Raphael Lemkin, a Polish Jew who escaped to America in 1939, lost 49 family members in the Holocaust, invented the word genocide in 1944, and cited the fate of Armenians in 1915 at the hands of the barbaric Turks as an example of genocide, he was wrong about that, and on 28 June when the GOI (Government of Israel) joined the hostile gentile world by admitting that the Armenians were targeted for genocide too, that was another mistake.

It was the late twentieth-century conservative pundit M. Stanton Evans who was the first to dub the Republican Party the Stupid Party, and the Democrat Party the Evil Party: “We have two parties and only two. One is the evil party and the other is the stupid party. I’m very proud to be a member of the stupid party. Occasionally, the two parties get together to do something that’s evil and stupid. That’s called bipartisanship.”

The Treasury Department’s issuance on June 22 of a license pausing Iranian petroleum sanctions appears to be inconsistent with the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act (INARA), which prohibits such relief for 30 days after a U.S. nuclear agreement with Iran is submitted to Congress. The U.S.-Iran Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was submitted to Congress on June 18. The 30-day period was designed to provide Congress time to review a nuclear agreement with Iran — and potentially reject it — prior to implementation.
Peloni: The important task of standing firm in opposing the sale of advanced US hardware to Erdogan’s Turkey appears to stand with the US Congress. Trump’s Turkey policy has consistently aided Turkey’s strengthening grip on power in the region and beyond, something which has been highly regrettable for US allies and US interests, even as it was avoidable. Amb. Tom Barrack has come to play a vital role in these developments, and his growing position in the Trump administration continues to parallel Trump’s growing support for Erdogan. The consequences of this new reality has included Erdogan’s rhetorical banter encompassing greater and greater threats being made against Israel alongside the countering of vital US interests, not least of which is the ceding of control of the Horn of Africa to the Muslim Brotherhood led Turkish leader. Hence, as the Trump administration has failed to do anything but encourage Erdogan’s ambitions of empire building, the role of oversight by the US Congress now becomes all the more pivotal.

A growing number of lawmakers on Capitol Hill are sounding the alarm over reports that the Trump administration is considering reopening the door to selling advanced F-35 stealth fighter jets to Turkey, arguing that such a move would reward one of America’s most unpredictable allies while potentially undermining Israel’s security and U.S. interests across the Middle East.
Peloni: Paul Schnee provides an important history lesson for the likes of VP Vance who fail to grasp the true history of the region in which he is now actively changing, which does not leave Israel owing its existence to America. The ties which link America and Israel are very strong, but a fair accounting of history and reality should be the basis on which any interaction in the region is based.

Unable to defeat Israel on the battlefield or intimidate her by decades of terror her Muslim tormentors have anxiously turned to a different strategy.
Peloni: Another very bad decision for America, Americans, and Americanism… Is there no greater authority than the insanity guiding America’s Supreme Court? There is no basis in law, history or reason to birth foreign nationals with the rights, privileges and responsibilities of the American Republic. The internationalization process as Pamela Geller describes so well as Birthright Tourism is now law of the land in America, diluting the national sovereignty of the American nation, and the further undoing of American enfranchisement.
