Obama’s Third Term

by Victor Rosenthal     March 3, 2022

While our attention here in Israel is on Ukraine, the US and Iran are preparing to come to some kind of nuclear agreement. Or not. I’ve been wrong about a number of things lately – I never thought Putin would do more than lop off the Donbas region from Ukraine – and I might be wrong about this too, but the Biden Administration’s desire to have something to brag about seems strong enough to swallow anything the Iranians throw at them at the last minute.

Any deal will have minimal effect on Iran’s ability to make and deploy nuclear weapons. What the signing will do is provide an immediate financial boost to Iran, which can be used both for its nuclear project and the support of its terrorist partners in Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq; and it will place Israel in the position of the “rogue” that violates international order if she attacks Iran.

Why are so many Idolizing Zelensky and Ukraine?

THE TRUTH ABOUT UKRAINE
NO HOLDS BARRED.

By Leon Kushner  (Leon’s: The World is Upside Down )

[Leon is a pro-Israel Toronto Blogger that I know.]

If my dear mother, a Holocaust survivor, was alive, she would have this to say about Ukraine: ‘Loz em brennan’ (let them burn).

To help understand her statement, you might recall one of the most terrible events in WWII, known as Babi Yar. It’s a deep ravine in the main city, Kiev in Ukraine. In 1941 in the period of just 2 days, almost 34,000 Jews were murdered there! Think about that number. And it was all done by men shooting at innocent civilians. A very personal way to commit mass murder. That was nothing like carpet bombing a city from the air.  As far as we know, that extreme murder rate had never been achieved until then. Of course the Nazis organized the killing. But it was the Ukrainians who actually did the killing. You see, the Ukrainians had such a blood lust for killing Jews that even the Nazis had to stop them. The Germans were in love with organized killing and documenting every ‘perfect’ thing they did. So when the Ukrainians were running around trying to murder every Jew they saw, the Nazis intervened and instructed them on how to do it efficiently and more organized.

Perfidy in Vienna?

If this is correct, there are just four days left to save America and the world

By Melanie Phillips   Mar 2/22

Robert Malley, US special envoy for Iran

The air is currently loud with the sound of people prognosticating that the shattering events in Ukraine have shocked the west out of its previous torpor and forced it to realise that it needs to stand up to tyrants rather than appease and even profit from them.

Really?

A profoundly alarming thread has surfaced this evening on Twitter. It is written by Gabriel Noronha, a former Iran official at the US State Department.

TRUMP TALKS ABOUT UKRAINE AND BARR

By Peg Tierney

President Trump gave an interview to Maria Bartiromo – some highlights:

-The SOTU was terrible. Biden didn’t talk inflation or energy and he lied about everything else.

-We were energy independent and exporting oil for the first time under Trump.

-We have more oil than Russia or Saudi Arabia. We have tons of natural gas. Right under our feet. China has no oil. It’s liquid gold.

-Biden shut down American energy to help Russia & China — who paid him off. He’s doing nothing to stop Putin in Ukraine.

She Became a Star Talking Talmud on TikTok. Now She Has a Message to Share

Miriam Anzovin may portray a ditzy character in her popular ‘Daf Reactions’ videos online, but the 36-year-old Massachusetts native recently surprised her followers by blasting the religious establishment’s treatment of women

By Allison Kaplan Sommer, HAARETZ<
Miriam Anzovin. “I’m saying to the people who are voiceless or silenced or afraid that it is not their fault.”

One could hardly imagine the Talmud having an “It Girl” – until, that is, the charismatic Miriam Anzovin hit the scene with her comedic and expletive-punctuated TikTok videos.

Anzovin’s sweet, slangy style and flawless hair and makeup as she comments on the “Daf Yomi” – the daily study of a page of Talmud – across social media platforms grabbed the attention of the Israeli media and Jewish news outlets last month. Her 15 minutes of fame for the “Daf Reactions” videos (also posted on Instagram, YouTube and Twitter) spawned clickable headlines praising her “raunchy TikTok Talmud tidbits” for “making Daf Yomi relatable to millennials and Gen Z.”

The tension between American and Israeli Jews

by Dr. Eric R. Mandel, MEPIN

American and Israeli Jewry are at a crossroads. Together they represent nearly 90% of the world’s Jews. Israeli and America’s Jews don’t understand each other, and with each passing decade seem to be less willing to make the effort required to foster that vital relationship. Too often, it seems they are hearing but not listening to each other’s concerns. Israelis need to appreciate that they cannot take the support of their American brethren for granted. And the non-Orthodox American Jewish community discounts the role of Israel in its own sustainability.

Israeli Jews will continue to grow in number. In contrast, the number of American Jews, depending on how you define a Jew, will have at best lackluster growth. Israeli Jews marry Jews, secular American Jews most often marry non-Jews, and their grandchildren generally assimilate into Jewish oblivion.

Israel doesn’t have to join the West against Russia

The same western countries demanding that Jerusalem condemn Moscow’s actions in Ukraine are the ones leading policy that goes against Israel’s existential interests.

 <
>

(JNS) Israel will meet its moral obligation in the Ukraine war in two ways. One is by logistical planning to take in Ukrainian Jews, thereby doing more than other countries to address the problem of refugees that has emerged in Poland, and possibly elsewhere, as well.

The other is by looking out for the need to protect Israel’s existential security interests—the battle against the Iranians and Hezbollah in Syria, and the strengthening of sovereignty on the Golan Heights

Russia Says It Will Strike Sites in Kyiv After Ukraine Reports Deadly Attacks in Kharkiv

T. Belman. I talked to a very reliable source today who is an ex-pat Russian who has been living in the US for 40 years but is very connected to officials in Russia. He said,
– Russians consider Ukrainians as brothers with whom they have lived for 300 years.  They have no desire to kill them and have been very careful.
– Russia underestimated the number of troops they would need to accomplish their ends but that is being remedied now.
– There will be no backing down
– Zelensky is following a playbook dictated by the US
– Zelensky will be removed from office and a friendly government to Russia will be installed
– Russia will get Ukraine to recognize the independence  of Donetsk.
– Russia will withdraw from the rest of Ukraine.
– Russia will withstand the sanctions.

By Zachary Stieber, EPOCH TIMES          March 1, 2022

Russian officials said March 1 that the military will launch strikes at sites in KyivUkraine’s largest city, after Ukraine blamed Russia for explosions in its second-largest city.

The Russian Defense Ministry said the military will strike sites in Kyiv belonging to Ukraine’s security service and a special operations unit, according to state-run news agencies.

Tierney echoes everything I have been writing about the US and Ukraine and then some.

By Peg Tierney

UPDATE ON UKRAINE & RUSSIA.

I still think Putin is trying to save himself from “regime change” and he and Xi have teamed up to reject the WEF New World Order and the use of Ukraine, by the GREAT RESET, as their launching pad & piggy bank against Russia. But, remember that Russia has NUKES – and we do NOT want them partnering with Communist China & Iran against America!

I now think Zelensky is a WEF puppet. Europe wants Russia’s gas and doesn’t want to pay for it. Europe wants the US to fight for them while cheating us at the same time. Biden wants to milk the climate change money laundering scam by destroying America’s energy independence, playing both sides and sending our money overseas – while destroying America in the process for all our enemies.

Germany, in Historic Reversal, Abandons Pro-Putin Russia Policy

by Soeren Kern, GATESTONE  •  March 1, 2022 at 5:00 am

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has announced a paradigm shift in German defense and energy policies in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. He said that Germany will substantially increase defense spending and take immediate measures to reduce its energy dependence on Russia. • The measures represent a complete reversal of Germany’s post-Cold War Russia policy — which focused on pursuing economic ties rather than confrontation with Moscow — and mark a definitive end to the era of former Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Gravitas: Why is Russia not winning in Ukraine?

Its working on Youtube.

Let me reiterate. I am not rooting for Putin to win or to lose. If Ukraine simple caves and Putin wins. That’s OK by me The way things are going now it appears he can only win by raising the ante. I hope he doesn’t. I hope he instead finds a graceful way to back down. This will require Ukraine to make some concessions.
