On a party-line 219 to 212 vote, the House on Tuesday passed the Combating International Islamophobia Act, which is co-sponsored by Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Mogadishu). The bill calls upon the president to appoint a “special envoy” to fight “Islamophobia”; this envoy will head up a State Department that will monitor the phenomenon. Omar’s bill, however, is wrongly focused in all kinds of ways, not least of which is the fact that it will combat efforts to “promote racial hatred” against Muslims, even though Islam is not a race and there are Muslims among people of all races. Meanwhile, the raucous House debate raised other problems with the bill as well, including the likelihood that it will inhibit counterterror efforts.

In January 2020, during a festive White House unveiling of Donald Trump’s long-gestating peace plan, then-Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu giddily announced that under its auspices, Israel would move to immediately annex large parts of the West Bank.

The Israeli right was ecstatic. Finally, they believed, Israel would take full control of land that settler leaders hope will remain forever Israeli — and with the blessing of a US president, no less.

The IDF has begun preparing for a general war against Iran, including but not limited to an attack on that country’s nuclear facilities, Israel Hayom reported.

The new operational plans include the option of an “exchange of blows” – both direct and indirect – of varying strengths between the two countries.

According to the report, Israel is only partially prepared for a strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities, after the preparations for a strike were abandoned in the previous decade following the signing of the “Iran deal.” The plans were renewed and accelerated this year, but it will take another 3-5 years until they are properly ready.

Minister without portfolio Eli Avidar (Yisrael Beytenu), who recently showed dissatisfaction with the conduct of the government on issues such as the green pass and the Shin Bet monitoring of COVID-19 carriers, on Wednesday expressed distrust in Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, and claimed that he is deceiving Foreign Minister Yair Lapid and does not Intend to implement the rotation agreement between the two.

“Yesh Atid is asleep,” Avidar said in a closed conversation, the contents of which were published on Channel 13 News.

Last night, 219 democrats voted in favor of House Resolution 5665 which establishes the Office to Monitor and Combat Islamophobia and addresses related issues inside the U.S. Department of State.  This is the culmination of over 20 years of work by the Global Islamic Movement to impose the Islamic Law of Slander on Americans.  In Islam, Slander is a capital crime and is legally defined as to say anything about Islam/muslims that a muslim would “dislike.”

Difficult times are ahead for the relationship between Jerusalem and Berlin and Brussels. While a series of anti-Semitism scandals rocks German public broadcasters, and a new government with a history of opposing Israel comes to power, the European Union and Germany continue to fund NGOs related to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas.

With the new left-Green government, a coalition of parties has come to power in Berlin with a checkered history regarding Israel, to put it kindly. The founding generation of the Greens around former Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer and ‘60s radicals like Dieter Kunzelmann were present at the founding of the PLO and PFLP in 1968/69, and maintained ties to Palestinian terrorists through the Red Army Faction offensive of the 1970s all the way to the current-day NGOs.
