The $4 Trillion Forecast for Biden: ‘Go Woke, Go Broke’

By Lawrence Kudlow, NY SUN

With all respect to President Biden — my criticisms are never personal but always based on policy — his statement yesterday on the proposals in his $4 trillion spending plan is malarky.

“If we increase the availability of quality, affordable child care, elder care, paid leave, more people enter the workforce,” he said. “These steps will enhance our productivity, raising wages without raising prices. That won’t increase inflation. It will take the pressure off of inflation.”

This is the most perverse economic recitation I can ever recall. His advisers have sold him a bill of goods — that so-called government investment, which is really a progressive euphemism for government spending. His idea is that, indeed, massive social spending without work requirements or employment incentives is somehow going to boost the economy.

Jew-hatred Now Acceptable in the US

by Steve Kramer

Recently, Eric Fingerhut, president and CEO of the Jewish Federations of North America and former CEO of Hillel International, reported that a new level of antisemitic intensity has been reached. Whether antisemitic sentiment itself has increased or merely has just become more acceptable, he isn’t sure. Regardless, the reality of overt Jew-hatred in the US and Canada is being felt more intensely – to say the least.

It wasn’t that long ago that public disparagement of Jews and Israel was not acceptable in the US, although it has long been so in Western Europe. For example, in December, 2001,  the French Ambassador to the UK blurted out: “That shitty little country Israel…” while attending a political function in London. Actually, many from the UK, France, and other countries shared the sentiment. But back in 2001, it was considered impolitic to express it in public.

HANNITY ENDORSES VACCINES

By Cliff Kincaid, AM SURVIVAL

Better late than never.

This is Sean Hannity speaking about Covid-19 and vaccinations:

“Take it seriously. You also have a right to medical privacy, and doctor-patient confidentiality is also important. And it absolutely makes sense for many Americans to get vaccinated. I believe in science, I believe in the science of vaccination.”

By: Elad Benari, Israel National News,  July 16 , 2021 5:31 AM

China plans to step up its involvement in mediation efforts to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian Arab conflict, Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Thursday, according to i24NEWS.

“The past and the present have proved time and again that the two-state solution is the only viable way to resolve the Palestinian question as it represents international consensus, fairness and justice,” Wang was quoted as having said on Zoom during a virtual Palestinian-Israeli Peace Symposium convened by the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

TWO GREAT HISTORICAL MOVIES ABOUT STALIN AND BERIA

The first, “Stalin the Movie” starring Robert Duvall, is a film on the life of Joseph Stalin, Secretary General of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from Lenin’s death in 1924 until his own death in 1953.  This is a well researched and historically accurate film according to a historian colleague with his Ph. D. from Oxford. It is quite lengthy (almost 3 hours) but can be watched in 2 or even 3 sittings.  It is quite amazing how so many people today continue to be influenced by the sham that is Marxism, having no exposure or interest in what this simplistic, extremist, inept and amoral economic system looks like when applied.

Mahmoud Abbas’s Demands: A Decree of Israel’s Surrender

By  July 19, 2021<<

BESA Center Perspectives Paper No. 2,099, July 19, 2021

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The demands issued by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas show a clear intention to turn the clock back. Israel cannot accept these dictates, which would have been rejected out of hand by Yitzhak Rabin.

Reflecting a tactic of skilled negotiators, the list of demands made by Mahmoud Abbas as a precondition for renewing talks with Israel mixes sensible requests with unacceptable demands. His demand that Israel upgrade the Palestinian solar network, for example, appears fairly reasonable on the face of it but has security implications for the work of the Shin Bet.

Bennett warns public to take virus rules seriously, or prepare to pay up

T. Belman.  I trust Bennett. He is forcing everyone to follow the requirements which he calls “citizen duties”. Like serving in the military. Yet I continue to post articles which put such draconian measures into question. I railed against Biden for sending the gestapo door to door recommending vaccination whereas I accept Bennett calling it a requirement not a recommendation. At least Bennett isn’t calling for lockdowns.

Even in democracies, the freedom of citizens is circumscribed if the common good requires it.

PM declares that government decisions are not mere advice, says authorities formulating plan for smooth opening of school year

By TOI STAFF 19 July 2021, 1:16 pm

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett warned on Monday that authorities would not tolerate a lack of adherence to new virus restrictions, speaking ahead of a planned effort to significantly increase enforcement of regulations meant to curb the spread of infections.
“I want to say here clearly: Government decisions are not recommendations; they are binding. Whoever flouts them will pay,” the premier said according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office.

The American Descent into Madness

America went from the freest country in the world in December 2019 to a repressive and frightening place by July 2021. How did that happen?

By Victor Davis Hanson, AM GREATRNESS

Nations have often gone mad in a matter of months. The French abandoned their supposedly idealistic revolutionary project and turned it into a monstrous hell for a year between July 1793 and 1794. After the election of November 1860, in a matter of weeks, Americans went from thinking secession was taboo to visions of killing the greatest number of their fellow citizens on both sides of the Mason-Dixon line. Mao’s China went from a failed communist state to the ninth circle of Dante’s Inferno, when he unleashed the Cultural Revolution in 1966.

Bringing America to its Knees Courtesy of the Biden Administration

By Eileen F. Toplansky, AM THINKER

President Biden’s Secretary of State Antony Blinken has extended an invitation to two different United Nations Special Rapporteurs.  One deals with contemporary forms of racism while the other is concerned with minority issues. Binken also welcomed “the UN Human Rights Council’s adoption of a resolution that calls for action to combat systemic racism against Africans and people of African descent in the context of law enforcement.”

Last year both Rapporteurs “signed a UN Human Rights Council statement that called for ‘reparative intervention for historical and contemporary racial justice’ around the world”  because “[t]he protests [in the U.S. that] . . . , are a rejection of the fundamental racial inequality and discrimination that characterize life in the United States for black people, and other people of color.”

Bennett said to backpedal statement that Jews free to worship on Temple Mount

T. Belman. The current status quo on the Temple Mount is unacceptable. The Temple Mount is the holiest Jewish site while the Al Aksa Mosque may not be the third holiest site in Islam. It all depends if it is the mosque referred to in the Koran as “the furthest Mosque”. Most political references to the Al-Aqsa Mosque date from the 12th century.

Israel reconquered the city in 1967 at which time Moshe Dayan gave the keys the Temple Mount to the Wakf  thereby ceding most Jewish rights there.

So far Israel has not been prepared to go to the mat on this or on preserving Area C for the Jews or on enforcing the rule of law over the Bedouins in the Negev.

Unnamed officials in premier’s office tell outlet he meant to say Jews have ‘freedom of visitation rights,’ not worship, after comments seemingly upend status quo

Unnamed officials in the office of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on Monday walked back comments that appeared to mark a stark shift from Israel’s policy of maintaining the status quo at Jerusalem’s flashpoint Temple Mount, now asserting that the premier had meant both Jews and Muslims have “freedom of visitation rights” at the holy site.

Early Jewish Contributions to America

by Victor Sharpe   From September 29, 2010

As Jews are vilified in the universities and colleges for support of Israel, it is good to remember the major contributions Jews have made to this country, beginning in their early years on these welcoming shores.

When the subject of Jewish American contributions to American society and culture is discussed few ordinary Americans, and surprisingly few scholars, are aware Jews resided in North America long before America’s Revolution against British rule.

Regavim to Bennett: Pull yourself together, evacuate Khan Al Ahmar today

Regavim movement responds to Lapid’s announcement postponement of evacuation of illegal Bedouin town: Did someone say “government of change?”

ARUTZ SHEVA

Following Foreign Minister Yair Lapid’s announcement on Sunday that a formal request has been made to postpone the evacuation of the Bedouin town of Khan Al Ahmar, the Regavim movement is calling upon Prime Minister Bennett: “Pull yourself together and demonstrate who is really the head of this government. Evacuate Khan al Ahmar today.”

Israel quietly letting Jews pray on Temple Mount, in break with status quo — TV

T. Belman.  During the conference on the Jordan Option , I raised the issue of the Temple Mount in my interview of Mudar. I put it to him that while the Al Aksq Mosques was holy to Muslims , that the Temple Mount itself was holy to Jews.  I suggested that the Wakf should be limited to the land adjacent to the Mosque and the rest of the TM should be reserved for Jews. Mudar said that he had no interest in the TM and that Israel should appoint a Wakf from among Israeli Muslims.

Its good to see that Bennett is moving the needle.

Israel has quietly started allowing Jewish prayers on the Temple Mount in recent months, in what would appear to be a major change to the status quo that has existed at the holy site since the Jewish state captured the Old City of Jerusalem from Jordan during 1967’s Six Day War, according to a report Saturday.

The King of Jordan’s Upcoming Visit to Washington: Implications for Jerusalem

King Abdullah II of Jordan, image by World Economic Forum via Wikipedia

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: King Abdullah will be visiting President Joe Biden at the White House on July 19. By granting the Jordanian monarch the honor of being the first Arab leader to visit the new president, the US administration is putting wind in Jordan’s sails as it seeks to fend off Saudi claims regarding custodianship of Muslim holy sites in Jerusalem.
