INTO THE FRAY: Escalating antisemitism – The Blame Israel bears

By Martin Sherman

There is a symbiotic link between the abysmal (mis)conduct of Israel’s public diplomacy and the building crescendo of Judeophobic frenzy across the globe.

Israel is losing the war for international opinion because – in the final analysis – she does not really want to win it! Or at least the official organs charged with administering this war do not– Entire world is not against us, March 28, 2007.

UK: Rotherham police only secured charges in 1 out of 34 Muslim rape gang cases

The outrageous, callous neglect of young British girls who were abused by both Muslim rape gangs and British authorities continues.

There has been no justice for these victims, only politically correct maneuvering by authorities in Britain’s so-called justice system, which appears to be primarily interested in protecting Muslim perpetrators. The intent has been to avoid the label of “Islamophobia” and provide cover for these mostly Pakistani Muslim men. As a result, they continue to escape justice, and are given the green light to continue “grooming” infidel girls. It has also been happening to Sikh girls for decades.

American Jews give Biden 70% approval rating – DUMB JEWS

DON’T BELIEVE ANY POLLS ON BIDEN
New survey shows 55% approve of how US Pres. Biden is handling Iran, while 32% disapprove.

By Ron Kampeas, JTAJun 03 , 2021 9:46 AM

American Jewish voters give US President Joe Biden a 70% approval rating, an American Jewish Committee poll found, while 26% of Jewish voters disapprove of his job performance.

The survey published Wednesday, the first of its kind so far in Biden’s presidency, is commensurate with past Jewish support for Democratic presidents. It is released as Biden seeks to quell the coronavirus pandemic that consumed the final year of former US President Donald Trump’s presidency, calm racial tensions, revive the economy, and manage the crisis engendered by the conflict last month between Israel and Hamas.

UAL agreement: Most illegal Bedouin villages to be recognized by government

T. Belman. This is truly shocking. I am against the legalizing of the land grab in the Negev by the Bedouins. I think the Kaminitz Law does not apply to illegal construction in Area C. Problem is Bibi offered them even more.

Another thing I don’t like is the agreement to give Arabs equal proportionate representation in Government jobs regardless of qualifications.

United Arab List’s coalition agreement with Yesh Atid: Over 52b poured into plans for Arab sector, no enforcement of construction laws.

The United Arab List (Ra’am) on Thursday morning unveiled its coalition agreement with Yesh Atid, making it the first time in decades that an Arab party has joined the Israeli government.

As part of the agreement, party demanded and received 30 billion shekel for a plan aiming to integrate the Arab sector, and another 2.5 billion shekels for a plan to reduce crime in the Arab sector. In addition, 20 billion shekel will be set aside for a ten-year plan to improve infrastructure in the sector, and 500 million shekel will be set aside for “supporting the local authorities.”

What does a Bennett-Lapid government mean?

T. Belman. While I agree with some of the author’s remarks, I do not blame Bibi for tension with the Biden administration. His experts want a more compliant PM. I believe that Bennett will be no less defiant than Bibi and that is a good thing.

I have confidence that Bennett will be tougher in the cease fire negotiations than Bibi.

Also,, if Bennett follows his right wing agenda, he will be supported by many on the right.

“It could certainly help the mood, initially,” Daniel Pipes, president of the Middle East Forum, told JNS, saying that the United States will be pleased with a government that includes left-wing members. Though he cautions, “I could well see the Biden administration disappointed if the right-wing parties—which are, in fact, more right than Netanyahu—have their way.”

Pipes expects the right-wing coalition partners to dominate, noting that in the negotiations on forming the coalition, the three right-wing parties—Yamina, New Hope and Yisrael Beiteinu—“have been in the driver’s seat,” and Yamina, with only seven seats, has been given the premiership.

Can Civil Discourse Prevent our Second Civil War

By Larry Greenfield, Jewish Journal

Both the Jewish tradition and the American way reject uniformity of thought.

Our religious texts and traditions prioritize study through argument. A Talmudic disagreement may not find resolution in the text, but both sides are richer for having engaged in the dispute. Likewise, our political economy benefits from robust democratic debate, while science and invention progress through evidence-based inquiry and discovery that consistently demand fresh thinking and exploration.

We aspire to set aside ideological bias in the pursuit of truth. We work to honor context, nuance, and open-mindedness. The mind that never changes or corrects is one to which we might say “never-mind.”

The European obsession with Israel

Eric Mandel. Europe’s historical relationship with the Jewish people and the Jewish state of Israel has been well-chronicled over the years. What is not given enough attention is understanding all of its dimensions in the 21st century, especially as the Muslim population of Europe grows.

Israel must navigate and plan a course that recognizes the dangers to Israeli economic security with the potential growth of the boycott Israel movement, as the EU is Israel’s largest trading partner. Add to this the growing animus to Israel by western Europeans, with the more robust support Israel receives from eastern Europe, and the complexity and potential for future difficulties become a vital security interest that must be both anticipated and managed.

by Dr. Eric R. Mandel

In Europe, the number of Jews continues to decline, but the disease of antisemitism continues to rise. According to a European Union poll, the vast majority (85%) of European Jews see antisemitism as a major problem in their lives.

Welcome to the world of 21st-century European antisemitism and its most popular contemporary form, Israel-bashing. This begs the question, why are Europeans still obsessed with Jews and the Jew among nations while working overtime to support their enemies?

‘Gantz has made a deal with Biden for settlement freeze’

T. Belman. It will come as a surprise to some that the entire responsibility for J&S rests with the Min of Defense. Thus he decides what to do with illegal Arab construction in Area C and Jewish settlement building subject to any constraints that have been place upon him in the Coalition Agreement.

This is one more assault on Bennett’s red lines.

Gush Etzion Regional Council chief Shlomo Ne’eman claims Defense Minister has already begun freezing Jewish construction in Judea & Samaria.

Arutz Sheva StaffJun 02 , 2021 11:44 AM

A senior settlement leader has accused Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz of cutting a deal with the Biden administration to block Jewish construction in Judea and Samaria.

In a statement released Wednesday morning, Gush Etzion Regional Council head Shlomo Ne’eman said Gantz had already begun to impose the de facto building freeze in Judea and Samaria.

The latest battle in the War of Independence

It’s taken different forms over 73+ years, but as its core, it’s the same war. The issue is not 1967 — it’s 1948.

By Daniel Gordis

In 2003, we had to send our kids to school with gas masks. This was me, with our youngest child, making sure that his fit tight. That, too, was the War of Independence.

<
>
Twenty years ago, more or less, we were having dinner at the home of friends in Sha’ar HaNegev, a small community situated very close to the Gaza border. In the midst of the standard dinner chit-chat, we heard an enormous boom, and the entire house shook. I looked at my wife, she looked at me, but no one said anything; we just kept eating and talking. A few minutes went by, and again, an enormous boom – and once again the house shook. No one so much as acknowledged the tank firing away just a few hundred meters from where we were seated.

Biden Administration Rewards Terrorists: Abbas and Hamas

T. Belman. Hamas has learned that if it is short of cash, to start a war in which Gaza get pulverized.  Billions of dollars will flow into the strip affording Hamas the opportunity to skim off the top, all they need, and then some.  There is no downside for them as the EU , US, UN are all committed to their survival, regardless of the fact that they are designated a terrorist organization.

They could if they wished, empty Gaza of its population thereby solving a problem that has existed for 20 years. Instead they get brownie points for supporting the the peace process through the two-state solution which they know is a dead end street.

by Bassam Tawil, GATESTONE  •  June 1, 2021 at 5:00 am

    • Ironically, the same Abbas who told Blinken that he (Abbas) is committed to a peace process with Israel is the same Abbas who also wants to see his Israeli “peace partners” put on trial at the ICC.
    • Now comes Blinken and announces that the reopening of the consulate in the city. Here is how the Palestinians understand his gestures: If you fire 4,000 rockets and missiles at Israel, you get a US embassy in Jerusalem and millions of dollars of US taxpayer money. It works! The solution, then, is to keep on doing it!

The Iranian regime is giving Hamas terrorists resources to produce “thousands of new rockets” in the Gaza Strip, according to a new report in Tehran’s state-controlled media.

Following a two-week-long war with Israel this month in which Hamas and other terror groups bombarded the Jewish state with missiles funded and provided by Iran, Hamas is moving to restock its weapons cache.
