Hot off the Presses! Arizona Audit Update

By Larry Schweikart, UNCOVERDC  -May 7, 202

Earlier today, I spoke with Dr. Kelli Ward, Arizona GOP Chairwoman, about the Arizona audit. Not surprisingly, most of what you read on Twitter or hear on the news is entirely false.

First, I asked what we won out of the settlement earlier this week. “Won?” she replied. “We didn’t lose anything.” The Arizona Secretary of State, Katie Hobbes “won” the right to have observers present. But Ward found that laughable: “We invited Hobbes to be a part of the process from the beginning,” including having observers. As for the absentee ballot signature verification, Cyber Ninjas was not doing that in the first place.

Election Auditors Say Maricopa County Is Refusing to Provide Routers

BY MATT MARGOLIS, PJ MEDIA MAY 07, 2021 10:57 AM ET

The group conducting the election audit in Maricopa County in Arizona claims the county is refusing to turn over routers or even images of routers to election auditors, according to a report, in deliberate defiance of a judge’s ruling.  Arizona Senate’s liaison for the audit, former Republican Secretary of State Ken Bennett, was informed of the news by the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office this week. The county had previously refused to comply with the subpoenas but had been ordered by a judge in February to provide the equipment to auditors. Read more…

Trevor Loudon: Socialist Revolution Is Underway in America

BY ELLA KIETLINSKA AND JOSHUA PHILIPP, EPOCH TIMES

America is now in the midst of a communist revolution that is trying to centralize power through bringing every element of the U.S. government, from the lowest levels to the top, under the control of the executive branch, said author and filmmaker Trevor Loudon.

“Therefore, the independence of the legislature, the independence of the supreme court, the independence of the sheriffs and the police must all be destroyed, and the loyalty of the army to the Constitution must be transferred to loyalty to the president,” Loudon said in an interview with The Epoch Times’ Crossroads program.

“Biden’s war on merit puts America’s scientific edge at risk.”

Biden picks diversity maven to oversee largest funder of the physical sciences in the U.S.

By Thomas Lifson, AM THINKER

Heather Mac Donald warns us that the quality of scientific research in  the United States is in peril, in a must-read essay titled “Diversity Over Discovery,” with the subtitle, “Biden’s war on merit puts America’s scientific edge at risk.” The immediate subject of concern is President Biden’s appointment,

…to head the Department of Energy’s Office of Science, the largest funder of the physical sciences in the U.S., is a soil geologist at the University of California, Merced. She has no background in physics, the science of energy, or the energy sector. She has never held a position as a scientific administrator. The typical head of DOE’s Office of Science in the past has had managerial authority in the nation’s major physics labs and has been a physicist himself, Science reports. The new nominee’s only managerial experience consists of serving since 2020 as an interim associate dean of UC Merced’s graduate division.

Al Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount pretends to be the third holiest site in Islam.

By  – on

As is well known, the Umayyad Caliph Abd al-Malik, based in Damascus, planted his flag on the Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism and the site from where, he wanted Muslims to believe, Muhammad had ascended to Heaven on his winged steed Buraq, in his famous Night Journey. Abd al-Malik built what he called the “Al-Aqsa Mosque,” meaning that this was the “farthest mosque” (al-masjid al-aqsa) referred to in Qur’an 17:1, from which Muhammad took flight on Buraq. Not everyone agrees. A Saudi lawyer and journalist has just offered what he believes is the site of the real Al-Aqsa Mosque; a report on his claim is here.

The Shin Bet security service on Thursday accused the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine of pilfering millions of euros from European aid organizations and governments to fund terrorist activities.

The Shin Bet in recent weeks arrested a number of those suspected of involvement and said that indictments against them would be filed shortly, including against a woman with Spanish citizenship, Juani Rishmawi.

A complex relationship made in heaven

T. Belman. Phillips at her best.

The undercover missionary scandal must not jeopardize closer bonds between Christians and Jews

By Melanie Phillips

The body of Abel Found by Adam and Eve; William Blake, 1826

For those wishing to improve relations between Jews and Christians, the extraordinary unmasking of Michael Elkohen as an undercover Christian missionary in Jerusalem has been something of a setback.

Elkohen, who was living as an ultra-orthodox rabbi with his wife (who died two months ago) and five children, was revealed last week in Israeli media to be a non-Jew who had trained as a Christian minister before gaining online rabbinical qualifications and moving to Israel in 2006.

Pfizer vaccine 96.7% effective at preventing COVID deaths, Israeli data shows

T. Belman. I am confused. How has the vaccine helped. In other words what was the percentage of serious illness without the vaccine, and what was the percentage of infection before the vaccine? Please can someone explain the difference between what was before the vaccine and what was after.

INTO THE FRAY: Something to worry about…

The debilitating deadlock, in which Israel’s political system is mired, is in large measure the result of judicial disregard—or at least distortion—of the law.

By Dr. Martin Sherman, INN  May 07 , 2021 12:28 AM

Supreme Court
Supreme Court

Over the past decade, the public image of the Supreme Court as an autonomous and impartial arbiter has been increasingly eroded… [T]he court and its judges are increasingly viewed by a considerable portion of the Israeli public as pushing forward their own political agenda… – Prof. Ran Hirschl, Towards Juristocracy, Harvard University Press, 2004.

The public is further losing its faith in…the legal system, with only 36 percent of the Jewish public expressing confidence in the courts...–“Public’s faith in Israel’s justice system continues to plummet”, Ha’aretz , August 15, 2013.

The Nuclear Talks in Vienna are a Sham–And Iran is Winning Them

The implications of Biden’s capitulation to Iran will convey American weakness to the world and have dire consequences for peace and stability in the Middle East and beyond.

by Fred Fleitz, NATIONAL INTEREST

According to the Biden administration, significant progress is being made at nuclear talks in Vienna to bring the United States back into the 2015 nuclear deal (the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action or JCPOA). Biden officials claim there will be a “compliance for compliance” agreement under which the United States will rejoin the deal and drop sanctions imposed by the Trump administration. In exchange, Iran will fully meet its obligations under the JCPOA.

It may seem that Biden is on the brink of a major achievement, but when diplomatic agreements are the goal—rather than a tool to address a threat—it is not necessarily a victory. Here’s why.

Sisi’s Egypt Has the Upper Hand Over Erdo?an’s Turkey

By Prof. Hillel Frisch, BESA

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The foreign policy of Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdo?an, a combination of imperialism and Muslim Brotherhood sentiment, was most visible in his moves against Abdel Fattah Sisi’s Egypt. Ankara is beginning to recognize its folly. Will the new US administration learn from its mistake?

The ascendance of non-Arab states and the decline of Arabic-speaking states over the past few decades has become a common theme in political commentary and academic analysis. This is especially true with regard to Egypt, the most populous Arabic-speaking country in the Middle East.

Oligarchy, and Remedies

Those who live under oligarchies are not citizens—because oligarchy validates itself, decides for itself, within itself. It is committed above all to negating a people’s capacity to rule itself.

By

What are hundreds of America’s biggest corporations doing as they browbeat the public to abolish the requirement of identification for voting? What are Twitter, Facebook, et al. doing when they prohibit people from sharing facts that are inconvenient to government policy or (and) the Democratic Party? What did banks do when they turned over to the FBI the records of persons who happened to have traveled to D.C. near January 6? And what about all those big retail stores—you know, the ones that the government designated “essential,” the ones that thrived under the lockdowns—what are they doing when they continue to demand that you wear masks on their property regardless of vaccination? What are colleges and universities, even K-12 schools doing when they deprive of opportunities young people who do not fit woke profiles? And what do all of them do when they dismiss complaints that they are violating your Constitutional rights by telling you that they are exercising their own private rights?

WASHINGTON – With a change of administration in Washington and with heightened US-Russian tensions on the global level, Russia’s role in the Middle East could turn into a strategic challenge and an urgent concern to both Israel and the United States, in sensitive areas such as Syria and Iran and in the cyber and technological domains, a new report argues.

According to the report, written by the Woodrow Wilson Center’s Kennan Institute and the Institute for Policy and State at IDC Herzliya, The United States is no longer the undisputed hegemon in the Middle East, while Russia is once again a military and diplomatic actor in the region.

Jewish apathy fuels missionary zeal

Israelis want to foster evangelical support, but often do not distinguish Christian missionaries from those who are not,

By Matthew M. Hausman, INN  , May 05 , 2021 8:49 PM

(illustrative) Christian Evangelists in Jerusalem, October 17, 2019

In the Book of Proverbs (Mishlei, 26:24), King Solomon wrote: “An enemy dissembles with his lips and within him he places deceit.” And in the “Art of War,” Sun Tzu stated: “If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Despite their disparate cultural milieus, both understood the danger of failing to recognize or understand one’s adversaries; and the words of both could just as easily apply to the presence in Israel of missionaries who claim to love the Jewish People but in reality seek their spiritual destruction. Though the government should know better, receptiveness to evangelical blandishments and tourism dollars may be a reaction to eroding support from the US Jewish community. Thus, missionary zeal in Israel may be enabled by American apathy.

Canadian court quashes ruling on labelling of ‘settlement’ products

Canada’s Federal Court of Appeal quashes lower ruling that barred products from Judea and Samaria from being labelled “Product of Israel”.

By Elad Benari, INN

Canada’s Federal Court of Appeal has quashed a lower ruling that had barred products from Judea and Samaria from being labelled “Product of Israel”, according to a statement released on Wednesday by B’nai Brith Canada.

In 2019, a Canadian court ruled that it was “false, misleading and deceptive” to label wines made in Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria as a “Product of Israel.”
