Trump: ‘I’m not allowing Israel to annex the West Bank’

In the same manner that some in the MAGA camp have been arguing that Israel does not own America, America likewise does not own Israel. Israel is a sovereign nation which is doing what it needs to do in order to survive the jihad. It isn’t only about Hamas. It is about the entire jihad against the state of Israel. Both Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad are committed to Israel’s destruction, and both groups are quite active in Judea and Samaria (also known as the West Bank). Brigadier General Amir Avivi, founder and chairman of the Israel Defense And Security Forum, has warned that many released “murderous terrorists” who make their way to Judea and Samaria establish militias. Avivi has stated in February that once the “hostage deal” was over, “it will require significant military pressure on the terror infrastructure in both Judea and Samaria, as well as Gaza…I trust our soldiers to do whatever is needed to secure a decisive win.”

UN Security Council Rejects Late Effort to Extend Iran Sanctions ‘Snapback’ Deadline

• Push to Delay Rejected: The UN Security Council on September 26 rejected a last-ditch proposal put forward by Russia and China to delay the reimposition of UN sanctions against Iran over its nuclear program under the “snapback” mechanism. The resolution was voted down by a count of 4-9 with two abstentions. Barring an extremely late deal made between Iran and France, the United Kingdom, and Germany — known as the E3 — UN sanctions will be reimplemented on the Islamic Republic at midnight on September 28. Enshrined in UN Security Council Resolution 2231 — which endorsed the 2015 Iran nuclear deal — snapback would freeze Iranian assets abroad, restore arms and missile embargos on Iran, outlaw Tehran’s ballistic missile testing, restore prohibitions against its uranium enrichment and plutonium reprocessing, and ban nuclear trade with the regime.

Who’s afraid of diplomatic isolation?  

Peloni:  As past is prologue, it must be recalled that Israel’s greatest threat lies in the internal divisions within its own society.  While faced with great adversity, we Jews have the means to find within ourselves an even greater sense of self destruction than even our greatest enemies could hope to design for us.  The implications of October 7 were very real and truly soul shattering, and it likely touched every Jew who read the briefest of accounts of the unopposed horrors which took place that day.  To our great shame and tragedy, it took the slaughter of so many innocents to waken the nation of Israel to the real threat of divisions which faced them, which held the security services fast while a terror army and its promulgate of terror civilians raped the land and people surrounding the Gaza statelet.  The future is our own to make, and while we are under a diplomatic siege of sorts, we must not lose sight of the greater threat which we pose to ourselves.  Solidarity and unity in the face of adversity will lead to our victory, but division and sectarianism will see us defeated as has been the key to our destruction in more than one iteration of the Jewish Commonwealth.

There is no Palestinian state not only because Israel maintains full control over the territory, but also because of the Palestinian Authority’s failure to establish functioning governing institutions, and Hamas’ dominance.

On December 13, 1949, Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion declared Jerusalem the capital of Israel and ordered the transfer of state institutions there from Tel Aviv. In the UN Partition Plan of November 1947, Jerusalem was not included in the Jewish state’s territory. During and after the 1948 War of Independence, proposals were even raised internationally to place the city under international rule, or to hand it over to Jordan. Qatar Tried to Bribe Trump Negotiator on Hamas-Israel Deal  

Peloni:  This should surprise no one.  Qatar is Qatar.  This nation has been involved in literally buying political leverage across Europe and across the US, including and particularly among men who are situated in positions of influence and power.  Notably, any notion that this specific to the Witkoff family would be quite naive, and almost certainly untrue.  The real crime here should be understood to be that Qatar was given the close access to the US govt, and that it has close connections/associations with multiple members of the Trump administration.  As Daniel suggests, Qatar should have no access to anyone in America, though given its insidious connections with American institutions, politicians and bureaucrats alike, I am uncertain how this might be easily accomplished.

Peloni:  Citing doubts of his success and funding complications Eric Adams Drops out of NYC mayoral race.  I sincerely appreciate Mayor Adams dropping out, for any reason to be honest, but I wish he had done so prior to the deadline required to remove his name from the ballot.  Will Adams quitting be enough to overcome Mamdani’s previously all but certain success in this race?  I doubt it.  So now that this is down to a three man race will either Silwa or Cuomo follow Adams lead?

Alan Dershowitz: U.S. should no longer be in the United Nations  

Peloni:  Terrorist regimes sit on the UN Human Rights Commission and hand down condemnations against the only democratic regime in the Middle East, while UNSC member states attempt to re-write international law to ignore established international obligations already confirmed, endorsed and acknowledged by the UN with no mandate to do so.  Meanwhile a faked famine has been certified using fake news to protect and promote a faked nationhood claiming a faked heritage to steal the land from Israel, a long standing member state, in preference of creating an illegitimate and imagined golem state.  Simultaneously, real famines exist, as in the Sudan, without a fraction of the effort being used to end their hardships.  Also, real nationhoods go unprotected while their people are isolated and abandoned as with the Kurds.  Justice, sincerity, and honesty are obscured while belligerence, despotism, and real genocide are promoted under the weight and support of petrodollars stemming from state sponsors of terror.  These are the real legacies of the United Nations, which has no interest in the ideals claimed for its august mandate, but has instead become a haven of corruption, licentiousness and depravity which is only persuaded by the lure of power and profit rather than by honest debate and inspired solutions.

End the UN!  End it today!  America should cut all ties with this rank institution of debauched diplomacy, they should defund it from the American dole, they should evict it from American soil, and they should deport its many bureaucrats if not lock them up for corrupting an institution which was always sold as being more majestic, more meaningful and more needed than reality ever demonstrated it as having brought to the world.  As Alan exclaims, “Nothing good will come from the United Nations!”

How lovely was the coincidence in the week of the New Year between Pope Donald’s papal bull forbidding the Jews from owning and ruling in the heart of the Holyland, Samaria and Judea, with the weekly Torah reading, Deuteronomy Chapter 31, that begins with Moses in his last hours charging the people camping on the east bank, with the command to be strong and brave in crossing the river to conquer the Canaanites. How charming the coincidence between this weekly reading and Pope Donald’s edict betraying the Jewish people by denying them the right to the identical real estate Moses had in mind.

While UN talks about two-state solution, Palestinian Authority leaders talk of total destruction of Israel  

Peloni:  As Europeans recognize a second Palestinian state, and Israel’s Arab allies join with her enemies to demand Israel continue to accept the PA as a peace partner, what is clear has always been clear, to us and them, that the only objective which the terrorist PA has for the future is to see the state of Israel destroyed, and her people slaughtered, raped and enslaved.  There is no defense for any of these states to pretend the obvious consequence of what they are demanding.  Indeed, the pernicious attitude demonstrated by one and all of these actors, that Israel should submit (there is that word again) to continue entertaining such a threat as pretending the Two State Solution has any outcome other than to expand the October 7 slaughter to a national scale simply exposes their malicious intentions for the Jewish people.  Hence, the threat of losing the Abraham Accords, to which Trump was obviously reacting in his forbidding Israel’s extension of sovereignty, can simply hold no value in the wake of such a malicious requirement of Europe and the Arab states.  Israel must accept that it has both the legal right and the national need to extend sovereignty to Judea and Samaria, and then simply do so.

Qatar’s sovereign wealth fund just took a $500 million bite out of Canada’s mining industry. On September 17, Ivanhoe Mines announced that the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) invested that amount to acquire about 4 percent of the Vancouver-based company. The “strategic investment” will support Ivanhoe Mines “in finding, developing, and sustainably supplying the critical minerals essential to the global energy transition and advanced technology applications,” said QIA CEO Mohammed Said Al-Sowaidi.

NO @realDonaldTrump – IT’S JUDEA & SAMARIA, AND SOVEREIGNTY IS INEVITABLE!!!  

Peloni:  Even the best of friends have distinct perspectives, but on the ownership of Judea, Samaria and Gaza, it is entirely unfounded to claim that Israel does not have the right to extend sovereignty over these lands which are Jewish Lands.  What is more is that the manner and tone in which Trump made his demeaning and humbling comment on this topic was certainly devoid of the deep respect and friendship of Israel for which he has exemplified over the years.  In fact, his comments were not just devoid of justification, but were made without any regard to the fact that they were unjustified.  Notably, following months of Israel threatening its own unilateral action with regards to extending sovereignty over Judea and Samaria as a response to the unilateral moves of declarations of recognition of a second Arab Palestinian state (Jordan is the true Arab Palestinian State), Trump chose to relay his fiat against Israel’s right to do so only after the declarations of Palestinian statehood had been made by the Engalnd, France, etc.  Furthermore, Amb. Huckabee made it clear that the  Europeans had given “the Green Light” for Israel to do so, making Trump’s declarative statement to the contrary all the more extreme, incomprehensible and damaging to its only true ally in the region.
