Peloni: A highly granular look at the collapsing West as it seeks to uproot its own identity in preference of the very image of Medieval barbarism.
A JEWISH PERSPECTIVE.
The View from Israel | Jul 24, 2026
The leaders in each failing Western country can only find one item they need to radically change. It’s not their obsessive Socialist, Communist, Islamic politics. It’s Israel.
As they tear up the roots of what made their countries great the symptoms of their newly planted rot can already be clearly seen. They detest the system that once made their countries great and instead adjusting he levers to improve the conditions for their indigenous populations they have been drowning them out with mass migrations of peoples, cultures, languages, norms unknown to the West who have creating economic and cultural stress to their societies and are deaf to the complaints of their own people.
A central part of their disconnect is reflected in their one major international issue. A hatred of Israel. Meaning, an adoption of those who think Palestinian death cults are a good thing,
It has become the central pivot that clearly indicates the political and moral decay of today’s West.
I have been conducting research on behalf of the Israel Institute for Strategic Studies with the help of colleagues based in those countries to understand what is taking place and where it leads. The results of our research are deeply troubling. The rot is multi-faceted but, in this report, I will expose how the antisemitism adopted by the misguided leaders of English-speaking countries is contributing to their political and spiritual decay in a West that has lost contact with the social and national values that once made them great countries. They have literally thrown their brains out with the bathwater.
I begin with the United States because this country above all others shows us what happens when insanity rules. It is a country which insist you can choose to be any sex you want to be and that society has to comply to your deranged mind. So today men can complete in woman’s sports, man can use women’s locker rooms and woman are prudish an insensitive if they are offended by having the sight of men’s genitals in their face because anything else would be discriminatory. These parasitic ideas have been foisted onto American woman. In America they have a Supreme Court judge who could not or would not describe herself as a woman. On such shoulders traditional values die. And that is precisely the aim of the exercise. It is what Professor Gad Saad describes as a suicidal empathy. You support what is killing you.
The West is lost in an insanity of its own deliberate making.
The West has reached the point of no return. Their crazy claims are killing common sense and the ability to think straight.
The basic premise is that the West’s commitment to freedom, logic, reason, that people are entitled to live in safety and security, and the simple sense to define between right and wrong, has been abandoned. The new hard left politicians and influencers have adopted what is called suicidal empathy and ambitious and self-serving politicians are pegging their political careers on this premise and, into this mix are the rapidly rising numbers of illegal migrants who must be housed and fed leaving other to pay the bill in rising taxes. There are careers to be made from this sector of society and the politicians and activist groups make sure have voting rights even of legally they are not lawful members of the society and are not American or British by nature, character, sympathy or desire.
Into this potent mix is the adoption of an active and well organised Palestinian campaign that began on campuses but quickly spread into the streets and behind which grasping politicians saw an opportunity to raise their profiles, grab the microphones and airways to speak up against Israel. Its an automatic vote winner because country after country the migrant population outnumber the indigenous Jew. Actually, America in an exception. There are an estimated 5 million Muslims and 7 million Jews, but within the next 3-5 years it is expected that there will be more Muslims in America than Jews. The tipping point is in their favour.
I am going now to concentrate on the Israeli and Jewish aspect of a West in meltdown and i will begin by highlighting what is going on politically in America as it heads to the Mid Term election and beyond to the 2028 General Election that is already impacting America with negative consequences for American Jews and Israel.
Note these names – Nida Allam, Faiz Shakir, Abdul el-Sayed. Hasan Piker. Not American sounding names, but these are some of the important influencers who are bringing in radicalised new younger voters. Piker has said that he hates Israel and America and America deserved 9/11. He is also anti-capitalist.
What is noticeable is that America is no longer in an election campaign between Republicans and Democrats.
The Republican party is fracturing but can still be considered Republican, but the Democrats have been totally disowned, swamped out of any chance of representing the new aggressive hard left activists who call themselves Socialists when in fact they are actively Communists in the Bernie Sanders or Mamdani mold, but they won’t come out and admit it. Not yet. Many are Islamists at heart. Examples include Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar whose family were top officials in the notorious Siad Barre Islamic Communist dictatorship in Somalia before her father became her political mentor and brought her to America and into the American political bloodstream while he sent the rest of his family to London. It is suspected that Ilhan Omar still owns property in Mogadishu.
Who would have thought that in our lifetime after Islamic terrorists flew planes into the Twin Towers murdering over 3000 New Yorkers that this town would elect a person with pronounced Communist and Islamic intensions to be their new mayor.
Can there be a better example of suicidal empathy than that of New Yorkers voting a person like Mamdani into office as their mayor.
I recently did a survey of Zohran Mamdani’s political staff at City Hall New York. Out of 68 individuals, 33 are Muslim who support or are supported by Islamic causes such as CAIR and the Palestine Action Group.
But Mamdani is far from being the only anti-Israel prominent politician. We just had two other examples or ambitious Democrat politicians who recently targeted Israel in order to advance their personal political careers, and one of them is Jewish.
First, Ro Kanna came to Israel to advance his chances to become the next US president. He didn’t come to study how Israel, the only liberal democracy in the Middle East, is surviving deadly existential threats such as 7/10 and attacks from Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis and Iran as well as the Palestinians who have conducted genocidal attacks against us for decades. But no. All this politician wanted to do was travel without a permit into an area designated by the Oslo Accords to be under Israeli control. He came to be confrontational to a handful of Israeli settlers who were farming the land. Even US Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckaby said that Kanna never applied for a permit to visit the area. It was deliberately confrontational in order for him to raise his political profile.
And then we had a visit from Ram Emanuel close buddy of Obama who lectured Israel that we have become, in his eyes, a pariah state. In his speech he called for an end of US unconditional aid unless Israel did his bidding. This was a campaign speech delivered inside a country at war, aimed at an American primary electorate that increasingly believes blood-libel accusations against the Jewish state.
58% of Democrats saying the U.S. is “too supportive” of Israel, up from 45% in January 2024. Roughly half believe Israel has committed genocide in Gaza. Truth, facts & numbers proving this to be untrue had no place in his speech.
Emanuel didn’t come to Tel Aviv to save the U.S.-Israel relationship. He came to bank points with his party’s far left, and he’s willing to use Israel as a whipping boy to do it. In America it pays to be anti-Israel. It earns you votes and advances your political career.
This is when ambition becomes betrayal not only of Israel, American’s closest ally but of basic American values.
Under Prime Minister Mark Carney and foreign minister Anita Anand, Canada abandoned its long tradition of principled, balanced diplomacy in favour of policies driven by personal self interest domestic political calculations and international fashion.
They speak eloquently about human rights while refusing to defend one of the world’s oldest and most persecuted democracies – Israel. After 7/10 and the noisy street demonstrations in support of our killers it became politically inconvenient for them to support Israel in a hard left leaning Canada that is permitting antisemitism to flourish across Canada where decisive leadership was required.
I hear from Jewish Canadians who wonder whether their government is still capable of protecting them with the same determination it extends to every other minority particularly a growing imported population wedded to an alien religious political theocracy.
In Canada under their leadership synagogues, Jewish schools, community centres, and businesses have become fortresses because their government has failed to create the deterrence that genuine law enforcement should provide.
In Canada, public demonstrations in which intimidation, harassment and open expressions of anti-Semitic hatred are allowed as political activism. Canada, as in other western liberal countries, confuses freedom of speech with the freedom to terrorize Canadian Jews. Jewish students have been harassed, isolated, shouted down, and intimidated on Canadian university campuses. The government allowed institutions of higher learning to become places where ideological rhetoric increasingly replaces intellectual inquiry.
Canadian society is being poisoned by a rapidly growing immigration of people who were not required to leave their radical and violent religious hatreds and uncivilized impulses at the entry door.
There are now over 2 million Muslims in Canada as opposed to 380,000 Jews. Who do you think the grasping politicians will cater to in their future elections. Is it any wonder that Canada has become a place in which public institutions have become sounding boards for hatred rather than traditional values, and much of that hatred and advocacy has largely been anti-Israel.
Canada also supports an international culture in which Israel is judged by standards that no other democracy is expected to satisfy while being restrained toward violent regimes. No matter than Israel is the Middle East’s only liberal democracy.
Canada is a western country that lends credibility to anti-Semitic international institutions that devote disproportionate attention to Israel while some of the world’s worst human-rights violators escape comparable scrutiny. In other words, Canada under Carney has become the personification of a hypocritical country.
In my writings and talks about Canada i speak with regret because, in the past, they had extraordinary traditional moral leaders, but not today, and the worsening trend worries me.
And this brings me to one conclusion about Canada and, indeed, all other Western English-speaking democracies, that, deep down, they know this truth, they have access to every historical record, every intelligence briefing, every diplomatic assessment, every expert, every fact, and yet they prefer to use a narrative they know is a lie, taking the politically and personally advantageous path rather than the morally courageous one.
Canada deserves better. Its Jewish citizens deserve better. Its democratic traditions deserve better.
And now we come to Britain. Let’s start where we are today and work back and prepared to be shocked.
Andy Burnham the new leader of the Labour party and the new British Prime Minister is a man infinitely worse than Starmer. Last month he released his shocking anti-Israeli manifesto, even before taking office.
I remind you this was in June 2026.
“The unbearable suffering in Gaza is a stain on our collective conscience. It is unacceptable that innocent Palestinians, including children, continue to be killed.
We must do more to increase the pressure on the Israeli government.
I know that many believe that at the start of Israel’s military operation in Gaza, my party did not act correctly, and for that I am sorry. Too often, our response was insufficient.
I fully support restrictions on arms export licenses, to ensure that British bombs or ammunition are not used by the IDF in Gaza or in the West Bank. We must do more.
Israel continues to violate the ceasefire agreement and kill innocent Palestinians. We are witnessing an increase in violence by settlers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, and the continued expansion of illegal settlements, which leads to the displacement of Palestinian communities. The Netanyahu government is clearly acting to make a two-state solution impossible. Therefore, we must do more, including considering additional sanctions against those involved in violence in Gaza, as well as steps to ban trade in products originating from illegal settlements.
I was deeply shocked by what i have seen and read about the destruction in Gaza. More and more evidence is accumulating indicating that war crimes may have been committed.
There is no contradiction between adopting a zero-tolerance policy toward antisemitism and demanding that the Netanyahu government be held accountable for its actions.”
This then from the new British Prime Minister. You would think it had been drafted for him by Jeremy Corbyn. Indeed, Burnham served in Corbyn’s Shadow Cabinet.
Not a word about the need to defeat Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, or any other Palestinian terror group or Hezbollah or Iran whose attacks required Israel to act affirmatively in defence of its people.
Burnham is absolutely the wrong man to sort out Britain’s internal mess with his Socialist policies which will ruin the British economy, with or without North Sea oil.
I doubt there is any competent British leader who can sort out the current economic and social mess, not even Nigel Farage, though I wish him success, but it won’t happen under Burnham. You cannot build social cohesion if you are not battling extremism in Britain, particularly an imported extremism that has taken root. Extremism, by definition, divides communities and undermines democratic norms. This can only be rebalanced by mass deportations and not many national or local leaders on the left are prepared to do what is necessary to rebalance Britain, indeed all the Western countries that have allowed themselves to be so unbalanced by failed Socialist politicians.
Burnham will probably keep the Muslim Labour leaders in their ministerial and administrational roles and will probably add more to appeal to his Muslim voters. This will almost certainly mean that he will have to bent to their religious needs and political demands.
These Islamic politicians include the former female Muslim Home Secretary who was forced to go up to Manchester and, in front of Burnham, outside the Heaton Park Synagogue in which Jews were killed on Yom Kippur she expressed her sympathy to the Jewish community but failed to condemn the killer called jihad. Neither did she or Burnham directly address the defect in the Islamic cause he represented in Britain.
Burham cannot win an election without a coalition with Britain’s Green Party and that party is led by perhaps the most antisemitic Jew in Britain.
Zack Polanski, a Jew from Salford Manchester. On Israel he and his party have taken the most anti-Israel critical position of any political party in Britain. They officially describe Israel as ‘an apartheid state” and say IDF actions in Gaza constitutes a ‘genocide,’ a position it officially adopted at its 2024 conference.
For his benefit, and for Prime Minister Burnham, I have the official figures of Gazan dead and based on what is called combatant-civilian ratios the IDF performed far more humanely in Gaza than the armies of Britain and the US in their urban warfare experiences and this is confirmed by my friend Col Richard Kemp, former Commander of British forces, and also West Point’s urban warfare expert, john Spencer, who both confirm that the IDF performed with greater success by reducing the civilian to terrorist casualty rate than had been achieved by the British and American armies in their urban warfare experiences. And this is before these politicians, who know nothing about warfare but who pontificate about Gaza like experts, answer one simple question. Why did Hamas, who used its population to dug the largest and longest underground tunnel system on earth, some 700 miles, ban even a single member of its population into those tunnels for their own protection?
Simple questions require honest answers and, in their absence, lies a terrible truth. These politicians don’t want truth, it exposes their fake propaganda and bias.
Because it would put the Palestinian terror organisations, they support in the bad light they rightly deserve. But that doesn’t win them votes and it doesn’t serve the dirty vote grabbing needed by these valueless politicians. This goes for Burnham and Polanski.
So dismiss these false claims of genocide being spouted by major political leaders, including now the British Prime Minister, and his Green Party Jewish ally as totally fake and will do nothing to raise the quality or honesty of British politics.
The Green Party has lots of voters in their ranks also calls on the UK to end arm sales to Israel, to impose sanctions against Israel, and to increase diplomatic pressure on Israel. Polanski goes much further. He calls to suspend trade and diplomatic ties with Israel, and the party supports recognition of a Palestinian state even if that state is headed by Hamas, even if that Palestinian state refuses to recognise the liberal democracy of Israel anywhere.
Polanski comes from a Jewish family that fled antisemitism and pogroms in eastern Europe before settling in Britain but this member of the family seems to have learnt nothing from his family’s experience. He describes himself as Jewish, gay, and vegan, and on his shoulders he together with Burnham could dictate Israel’s future if they win an election. Literally, God help us!
On the other side, Nigel Farage has consistently been one of the more pro-Israel leaders in mainstream British politics. His views seem like a breath of fresh air following the lies of the radical Left.
He strongly condemned the Palestinian genocidal attacks of 7 October saying Britain should stand firmly with israel against terrorism.
He argues that israel had the right to defend itself after the attacks further saying there is no moral equivalence between Hamas and the elected government of israel.
Farage opposes the ICC’s arrest warrants for Netanyahu and former Israeli Défense Minister, Yoav Galant, saying this court damaged its own credibility by equating Israeli leaders with Hamas, a terrorist organisation.
He has rejected claims that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza and has opposed suspending British arms exports to Israel.
He also said that recognising a Palestinian state while Hamas remains would reward terrorism.
Farage has also been a vocal critic of what he sees as rising antisemitism and anti-Israel sentiment in parts of British politics and public institutions.
In short, his overall position is that Hamas is a terrorist organisation that must be defeated, Israel has the legitimate right to defend itself, Britain should remain a close ally of Israel. A lasting 2 state solution is desirable in principle but he argues that a Palestinian state should not occur while Hamas remains a significant force.
On the claims we are increasingly hearing that Bibi or Israel are war criminals and genocide claims, neither charge has been proven in any international court despite the best efforts of South Africa to prove otherwise. Enough of the blood libels and threats to arrest the prime minister if he steps foot in America or Britain. Its all part of the vacuous lies they tell about Israel and shows how cheap and how low these grasping lying politicians will stoop to pick up cheap votes. It also shows the classless ignorant nature of today’s voter in the West today.
Before I finish with Burnham, I am not sure how he will get over the mistake of appointing Ed Milliband to be his Foreign Minister unless, of course, he wants Britain to continue to have bad relations with America.
This is how Milliband undiplomatically referred to Donald Trump in 2017;
“We must do our best at home and abroad to resist the worst of Trump.’ He said that Trump had “lowered the bar for idiocy” and later joined a Stop Trump March in London.
“These are dark days for America and the world,” he said of a US President considered by many to be the most exceptional American and world leader.
It gets worse. Milliband has called Trump “a racist, misogynist, and a self-confessed groper.”
This was clearly not a wise diplomatic move by Burnham unless he wants Britain to maintain a disjointed relationship with America and wait until America collapses to a radical left government.
We know that Trump is livid about Burham’s choice for foreign minister.
Ed Milliband has also called Israeli towns and villages in Judea and Samaria as “both illegal and immoral.” So I don’t think he will be welcome in Jerusalem any time soon.
The Board of Deputies of British Jews and the Jewish Leadership Council are clearly worried about a Burnham government. They announced that Burnham had seen first hand as mayor of Manchester the links between hatred of Israel, antisemitic extremism and deadly violence against British Jews, reminding him of the deadly Islamic attack on the Heaton Park Synagogue on Yom Kippur.
They urged Burnham and other political leaders to show the utmost care in their rhetoric at a time when antisemitism in Britain had become more normalized, more extreme, and more violent.
The Campaign Against Antisemitism Chief Executive, Gideon Falter, sent an open letter to Burnham calling on him to take a stand against the rise of antisemitism in the country.
“Your legacy will not be remembered solely in terms of tax rates and hospital waiting times,” Falter wrote.
“It will be whether Jews were murdered or thrive in Burnham’s Britain.”
Within hours of the 7/10 savage invasion of Southern Israel by thousands of murderous armed Palestinians from Gaza who raped, tortured and killed over 1,200 Israelis and took hundreds more including girls, elderly men, mothers and babies, back into Gaza as their hostages, thousands of Muslims were allowed to gather outside the Sydney Opera House in Australia to chant “Allah Aqba! Kill the Jews!”
When I heard that this was permitted in the name of “free speech rights” by the Socialist mayoress of Sydney I said that where they are allowed to threaten Jews, Jews will die. Guess what happened during a Hannukah event at Bondi Beach? The Sydney mayoress got her answer.
This is what tolerance to the intolerant gets you, Dead Jews.
But, in Australia, as in other Western English-speaking countries, it’s a numbers game. The Muslim population has been allowed to increase to close to a million while the Jewish population of Australia is down to about 120,000. So, who are the grasping left-wing politicians going to cater to, to give preference to their demands? And why have they been so incompetence in protecting high profile Australian Jews?
This is why Dr. David Adler, the founder and former President of the Australian Jewish Federation, was forced to pack his bags and leave Australia for a new life in Israel, because of repeated death threats and a lack of confidence in the ability of the authorities to protest him and his wife.
Being Jewish in a Western English-speaking country, has become a life-threatening challenge that is about to get worse based on the wrong direction of countries that are employing a suicidal empathy with those who intend to destroy the values and guardrails they were once founded on.
This, however, is a gain to Israel as I predict that 2026 will be a record year for Aliyah to Israel. The one country they can be sure will do everything to protect them from the enemy at the door.

Sorry, but I don’t think it’s suicidal empathy like Mr Saad does. It’s suicidal cowardice. Am Israel Chai
