Rabbi Daniel Lapin in WND article A rabbi’s warning to U.S. Christians draws parallels between the demonizing of Jews in the thirties and the demonizing of the Christian Right in this decade.
Heaven knows there was enough warning during the 1980s of the intention of part of the Islamic world to take yet another crack at world domination. Yet instead of seeing each deadly assault on our interests around the world as a test of our resolve, we ignored it. We failed the test and lost 3,000 Americans in two unforgettable hours.

Phase one of this war I describe is a propaganda blitzkrieg that is eerily reminiscent of how effectively the Goebbels propaganda machine softened up the German people for what was to come.

I found the link very interesting and will study it, thank you; it’s such a pity that so many now teach such dangerous heresies, and I don’t think that, that is too strong a word.
I truly believe that obedience is a strong protection now and in the times to come, and will endevour to practice it to the best of my ability.
Our Lord is all powerful and omnipotent, he is also a jealous G-d and it might be as well for some to remember that, or the lesson might just be taught in ways that they might not like.

There is even persecution against Christians by other so-called Christians. The latter hate anyone who holds to a doctrine which includes obedience and believe that they are “saved by grace and therefore don’t have to obey G-d” and that such insistence is “works” when it is not. Obedience is our reasonable service and evidence of one being a true Christian and not a hypocrite. Further, being obedient is the prerequite to being given understanding by G-d. So the so-called Christians, who are in fact Antinomians and lawless ones, say that the commandment keepers are “extreme” or “legalistic” or “Judiaisers” or as I heard, “Oh, you’ve denied Christ and joined a Jewish sect.”
What the the Antinomian lawless ones miss is Shema (hear in Hebrew means not just listen, but listen, do (obey) and understand) …first we will “do” and then afterwards G-d gives understanding. Shemot 24:7. Basic. So the hypocrites don’t “do” and G-d doesn’t give them understanding and He further “gives them over to believe a lie” because they despise (not esteem Him highly enough) and He turns them into haters of not only G-d and of true Christians and of Jews. They think they have arrived and they haven’t even begun. They should go back to the beginning and repent.
Yeshua said, “If ye love me keep my commandments.” Those who love him “do”. Those who hate Him don’t.

The level of Anti-Semitism/Zionism is a meter that measures the morality nations. You can measure the one by the other.
It took courage for Rabbi Lapin to give such a warning. I agree with him and appreciate his perspective. I was not aware that hatred for Christians in the West was so great. I am fully aware of the price being paid for being a Christian in communist and islamic countries. I have not been made aware of this in the US until I read the article by Rabbi Lapin. I do not think it has risen to a level that nears that of anti-semitism that exists today. I have been shocked by anti-semitic remarks I have read on various web sites. I can not imagine how anyone could be so hate filled.
America is overdue for refining with fire. Fundamentalist Christians know this and when it comes will not be surprised. As America continues to embrace evil and call it good we are on a collision course with the Creator. The only reason we have survived is our support for Israel.
The dislike, amounting almost to hatred, which is becoming increasingly apparent in todays society, aimed at fundamental christianity, becomes almost rabid, when said christianity allies itself with the people of G-d, namely those of a judaic persuasion.
We do so ally ourselves Laura, and are proud and happy to do so.
We do so in obedience to G-d and because we are so similar in morals, ethics, etc. that we are natural allies.
This society in which we live, is so sick in almost every way that can be imagined, that theological differences should not be allowed to stand in the way of a united front.
I have been taught, almost from my teen years, that one day, it could cost me dearly to stand firm in my faith, it would seem, that maybe that day is not so far distant now, and I am in agreement with the respected Rabbi as to the kind of cost which will be imposed.

At the Denver International Airport (“DIA”) there are several large murals. They depict various Masonic, New Age and occult images, including a masked green giant type of Darth Vadar with a huge sword over a city and a row of women crying with dead babies. I don’t agree with some of Rabbi Lapin’s choice of analogies here, but the fear and loathing of the Christian Right– for standing with Israel, at least some of them, and standing up to Iran– is genuine. The powers that be hate the Christian right because they’re not afraid to recognize the truth no matter how inconvenient.
And what all the little Neville Chamberlains in the Bush Administration and Kadima don’t want to acknowledge, is that Iran must be stopped. NOW. The Christian Right is wise to this foolishness, and is pushing to make the difficult choices at this crucial juncture to take on the Iranian threat before it magnifies and becomes too late to fight. Meanwhile, the appeasers among the Bush Administration officials, Blair’s Cabinet and Olmert’s people just want to postpone the inevitable, hoping and hoping that they can mollify Iran by offering up Israel on a sacrificial table, maybe deceive us by getting Ahmedinejad removed (a cosmetic change at best), while allowing Iran to march toward its murderous, messianic objectives.

So Iran kills US and British soldiers with impunity in Iraq, yet Bush and Blair back down like the cowards that they are. While Olmert, timid fool that he is, continues to hope that Iran could just be appeased away. Poor Israel. When we need a David to lead us against an implacable enemy, we get an updated Neville Chamberlain joining with other Chamberlains among our “allies.” No wonder Israel is dying slowly, with once-robust aliyah declining almost to nil– nobody wants to inhabit a nation whose very survival depends on cowards in powerful places.
There is no comparison. The Christian right isn’t in danger of going into gas chambers or concentration camps. This is hyperbole which trivializes the holocaust, and Rabbi Lapin ought to be ashamed of making the false analogy. Certainly he could have defended the Christian right and challenged its critics without invoking images of Germany in the 30’s. I think all political sides far too frequently make absurd comparisons to the nazis when attacking opponents.
It’s good Lapin noticed and spoke out. For us conservative Christians this is no news whatsoever, nor is it a surprise. When I started to notice the rash of demonization of conservative (theologically) Christians (not to be confused with Christians who are conservative politically), my greatest concern became and is for the Jewish people, because it is the conservative Christians who defend Israel and expose erroneous theology that justifies at best indifference and at worst hatred towards both Israel and the Jewish people. It is unfortunate that the Jewish community got backwards their assessment of who within Christendom are their friends and who their enemies, as it only hurts them. It is not too late to turn the tide before the rising liberal, replacement theology Christian groups solidify and present a greater danger to Israel.
