The French PM makes no sense.

By Ted Belman

Israel also charged that direct negotiations with the Palestinians were the only way forward.

On Channel 2 Saturday, the French prime minister said that while there may be some agreements and some disagreements on certain issues, “Netanyahu must show some faith [in France and its initiative].”

WHY?

Valls questioned whether Netanyahu’s insistence on direct negotiations without preconditions have worked, charging that “direct dialogue today [between Israelis and Palestinians] is very difficult, settlements continue to be built, tensions continue to rise and so the world community must play a role,” Valls said.

WHY MUST THE WORLD COMMUNITY PLAY A ROLE?

The French PM spoke warmly of Israel and Israel-France ties, insisting that peace was in the best interest of everyone: Israelis and Palestinians, the region and the world.

WHO SAYS THIS CONFERENCE WILL LEAD TO PEACE? SINCE ISRAEL IS ASKED TO PAY THE PRICE FOR “PEACE” IS IT NOT FOR THEM TO DECIDE IF THE PRICE TO TOO HIGH OR THE “PEACE” UNATTAINABLE.

“The world community is making efforts to find a way to make peace between Israelis and Palestinians based on the idea of two states with clear, viable borders, and with Jerusalem as the capital of both states,”

BORDERS WOULD BE NICE BUT WHY MUST THEY BE ON THE ’67 LINES WHICH THE FRENCH PROPOSAL REQUIRES? WHY MUST WE SHARE JERUSALEM WHICH THE FRENCH PROPOSAL REQUIRES?

The idea is to have an initial conference with the countries that are most involved, without Israelis and Palestinians, and then another round with the involvement of both sides, Valls indicated.

IN WHAT WAY ARE THESE COUNTRIES INVOLVED. IS NOT THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE ONLY COUNTRIES TO THE CONFLICT THE PA AND ISRAEL? WHY ARE THE OTHER COUNTRIES INTERCEDING. WHO ASKED THEM?

“This is the best solution. What other is there?”

WHO SAYS? ISRAEL REJECTS IT.

Asked why France would want to invest so much effort in trying to solve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict when other much deadlier conflicts in the world rage on, Valls said that “France is on every continent in the world. Fighting terror is a priority for France. Without French intervention, Mali would today be a terror state, without our intervention there would have been a genocide in the Central African Republic, we are part of the coalition against Daesh.”

EITHER HE IGNORED THE QUESTION OR HE IS SAYING THAT OUR CONFLICT CREATES TERRORISM IN THE WORLD SO FRANCE MUST TRY TO END THE CONFLICT. THAT’S A PREMISE I REJECT.IT IS FOR ISRAEL ALONE TO DECIDE WHAT TO DO. HE IS INTERFERING WITH OUR SOVEREIGNTY.

  1. Perhaps the French government should show good faith and lead by example. For instance, why not return Alsace to Germany? They’ve been disputing ownership for centuries. You say it’s always been French? Well so Judea and Sumaria have always been Jewish…. No excuse. Start talks with the Germans, perhaps when you’ve given up Alsace we’ll find a few bits more that other countries have claimed.

  2. “Hollande keeps the Palestinian-Israel conflict separate from bilateral French-Israeli relations. Bilateral French-Israeli relations have significantly improved and are currently the best they have been since Israel’s honeymoon with the French socialists in the 1950s. Both countries now have more interests in common. The wave of Muslim terror in Europe requires collaboration and exchange of information between their intelligence services. Military relationships have improved, together with economic interactions. Nowadays several major French companies are represented in Israel including the EDF energy group and the Alsthom transport company.

“At the same time however, France maintains its ‘automatic’ favorable attitude toward the Palestinians. Chirac offered the PLO a diplomatic office in 1974. Mitterrand received Arafat in 1989 at the Elysee Palace in Paris, and under Sarkozy, France voted in favor of the Palestinians joining UNESCO.

“In line with this automatic stance, under Hollande’s leadership France supported a scandalous motion ignoring the Jewish connection with the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Israeli Prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu sent a strongly worded letter to Hollande to protest the motion. In Hollande’s somewhat bizarre reply, he explained that there had been a technical error and a misunderstanding. French Jewish leaders, including the Chief Rabbi Haim Corsia reacted far more forcefully than the Israeli foreign office, which limited itself to the publication of a communique on the matter.

“Another negative development is the almost obsessive French plan for an international conference on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. France sees here an opportunity to insert itself in the vacuum left by the Obama administration.

“The French parliament, with its socialist majority, voted in favor of the recognition of a Palestinian state. This was an important, albeit symbolic vote. Only the government can formalize such a decision, something it has not done. Hollande had to take into account here the power of the pro-Palestinian left wing in his socialist party, as well as the Green party. As Hollande is the least popular post-war French president to date, he will need all the support he can get if he wants to have a chance in the 2017 presidential elections.

“Under Hollande’s presidency, France has known a number of murderous terrorist attacks by Muslims, both against non-Jews and Jews. Since last November a state of emergency has been declared. Since the murders of four Jews in Toulouse in 2012 the security around Jewish synagogues and schools has been greatly reinforced.

“France’s current Prime Minister Manuel Valls, has on many occasions expressed great admiration for French Jewry. Both Hollande and Valls have come out strongly against anti-Semitism. Yet they viewed Netanyahu’s calls urging French Jews to move to Israel in a bad light, seeing this as interference in the country’s internal affairs.

“All deadly terrorist attacks against Jews have been committed by French Muslims. Despite the state of emergency and the massive presence of police and the military in the streets, there is still a feeling of insecurity in the country. This feeling is particularly strong among Jews.

“The first round of the French presidential elections will be held in April 2017. The political campaigns have already begun. It is already apparent that this will be a rude and noisy battle, which will strengthen extremists in both the left and right camp. What that means for the Jews remains to be seen.”

  3. @ bernard ross:
Some nerve has the Frenchie. I cannot believe the arrogance of these frogs who think everyone is stupid and they know or can do anything they want because they know best.

“Netanyahu must show some faith [in France and its initiative].”

It is laughable the attitude these cheese eating surrendering monkeys have toward the rest of the world.
They hate the Americans but, whenever they run into trouble they demand the Americans come to help them.
Now they are envious of the success of the Israelis and they would love to have them under their thumb.
They really have won the price for “THE WORLD MOST STUPID IDIOTS” The FRENCH.

  4. THE FRENCH are LYING in wait…

I believe the French know EXACTLY what they are proposing and precisely how the result would affect Israel’s ability to defend it’s people and all of it’s interests. That they are not at all clueless. That they constantly read and translate into French Israel’s positions from all imaginable sources on all of these polemics and ones which have nothing to do with these issues, but which affect the region and Europe. That they are very very well educated and know the precise history of The so called ,”conflict”. Obviously it is a war, despite those who would beg to disagree, like The Disgrace Ya’alon, who think Israelis are born to suffer, apparently. The French strongly support Israel’s “peaceful’ demise and are patient enough to keep dropping the same bait in the cesspool hoping for a bite. In the meantime, they are kissing terrorist ass, hopefully delaying any catastrophic bombing at home, which is their chronic nerve wracking immediate concern, although it would be nice to see Israel eat crow, too, that can wait…..SADLY, for a limited time, however patience is seriously running thin, urgently and it is upsetting tummys across France right now as you read this.
The Israelis are just not going along with the program, if only this were all in France, The Jews would be made to fold, with no delay, whatsoever.

  5. Czech Politician: West Will Have To ‘Crush’ Islam
    …..
The assumption of the Muslim countries and leaders who have decided to terrorize Europeans by their understanding of the world that the cause of Europe’s inactivity is its weakness, is entirely flawed. Europe has been converging to its opinion and to its world view for the price of tens of millions of human casualties, it has paid by suffering that no Muslim can even imagine.

This will eventually come to a head – and it won’t be pretty.

For some time, Europe will keep on asking this question about the peaceful co-existence. At some moment, the question will undergo a metamorphosis and it will sound very differently. It will no longer be DO YOU WANT TO LIVE WITH US but DO YOU WANT TO LIVE? Do you, the Muslims, want to survive? Because if the devotees of Islam won’t want to live in peace, Europe and America will do what it has done twice when they were threatened by ideologies attacking the essence of the humanity: it will wage a war and crush the enemy.

  6. LOL, the guy answered no questions…. demonstrating what everyone already knows… the french are clueless fools known positively only for fashion and the arts… on everything else they are laughingstock dunces generally wearing the emperors new clothes. they sound cute speaking french but never take their foolish advice… when have they ever been right?

the French prime minister said that while there may be some agreements and some disagreements on certain issues, “Netanyahu must show some faith [in France and its initiative].”

LOLROFLMAO….. this joker just had his nation vote that the jews have no connection to the Temple Mount and now only days later has the incredible gall to make this ludicrous, laughable and very french statement.
When the french engage in such endeavors there is always a con job involved…….. or its just another french leader attempting to be important, pretending to have a global role… when no one would ever notice their absence.

  7. French do not realize or do not care that the real issue is that the Palestinians goal is to destroy the Jewish State of Israel. That is the core of the conflict. The Palestinians do not accept Jewish State no matter the size.

PA official: Palestinian ‘refugees’ to return – to Israel

PLO official claims Palestinian Arabs are really ‘refugees living in the Palestinian state’ in bizarre logic to take Israel from the Jews.

A top Palestinian Authority (PA) official insisted that a Palestinian “Right of Return” should be to modern-day Israel – not to a “Palestinian state.”

Fatah Central Committee and PLO Executive Committee member Zakaria Al-Agha made the comments in a May 11 interview to Palestine TV. They were translated into English by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI)

  8. French Prime Minister says the number one thing of importance is stopping building in the “Jewish Settlements”. .

The other day he said he was concerned about our security. Really then why not first say Hamas must be disarmed and dissolved and the Palestinian must staying raising their children that all of Israel is theirs and Jews must be killed. Unless this happens a piece of paper where Israel agrees to give up land is not a peace treaty but just the new lines where the next war will start.

France should stop terrorism in France and deal with their Muslim problem and the French Antisemitism before they start butting their noses in into Israel’s affairs.
