This week I spoke in the Knesset. My message was urgent, and straight to the point and I would like to share it with you below. In addition to having this message heard by members of Knesset, the people of Israel heard the message as well. The clip of my speech went viral on social media. On Facebook it organically reached 202,291 people so far, received 5.2K Likes and 3.2K Shares.

Here’s what I said in Knesset:

The IDSF Habithonistim movement consists of over 4,200 reserve officers, generals and combatants. Just one month ago we were 3,000. Israeli officers join us en masse because they all feel like we’re undergoing a substantial change, and that Israel’s security is in real danger. I’ll explain why.

We conducted a 300 pages long thorough situational assessment, I’ll summarize it in one minute. We live in a reality where processes that have been occurring for many years are now coming to fruition. There’s an Iranian system coming to fruition. It’s been talked about. It’s one system that will get them closer to nuclear arms, but it’s also a system that operates the missiles, rockets, and all unmanned aerial vehicles.

Within one decade, Hezbollah’s unmanned aerial vehicles went from 50 to 2,000. Iran is currently getting stronger, so in one or two years, they might think they can attack us. Alternatively, we will have to attack Iran.

Secondly, different fractions of the Palestinian system are coming together and they are at war with us in all parts of Israel. This war is synchronized and coordinated between Hamas, the PA, and some Arab-Israelis. This war manifests itself in many aspects that weren’t mentioned here. For example, they’re taking over lands in the Negev, the Galilee, and area C. I’d like to tell you that them taking over lands will become a real threat to the State of Israel in 10 years, more than any missile or rocket that you mentioned today. We should address this. This is a real existential threat.

Now, it’s not that we’re not winning, we’re not even playing on the field. We’re not even dealing with it. We should go ahead and fight in this war. They’re, obviously, undermining personal security, and we see this all across Israel, in mixed cities, in Jerusalem, in the Galilee, in the Negev, in Judea and Samaria. They’re also fundamentally undermining Zionism, our very right to be here. People talk about us as if we’re occupiers. This is a Palestinian national war within our borders, and the State of Israel doesn’t even realize it’s at war. I’m telling you, right now, we’re at a point where within two or three years, we’ll have two options – the Six Day War, or the Yom Kippur War. Either we’ll get a huge surprise, and what we saw one year ago is just a short trailer of what’s to come when the Iranian vectors come together again, but in full-force. Or, we’ll get another Six Day War and this will be our victory.

At the end of the day, the State of Israel has to realize it must change its priorities drastically, transform the Security System – internally and externally – and prepare for a new reality. We, the People of Israel, must come together. Here, too, in the Knesset – we must come together and understand we live in a reality we haven’t seen in many years. Thank you.

All the best,
Brigadier General (res.) Amir AviviCEO and Founder of IDSF Habithonistim
