When the final tally is completed, Tunisia’s Sharia-promoting Ennahda party is predicted to garner from 30% , to as much 50% of the popular vote (an unhappy medium of 40% was projected yesterday). Indeed the expatriate Tunisian vote tally for Ennahda has already been recorded as 50%, and, regardless, on the basis of its large plurality, the party is slated to play a major role in drafting Tunisia’s new constitution.
The Ennahda party leader Rachid Ghannouchi gave an interview in May 2011 that elucidated, unabashedly, the essence of his disturbing Weltanschaaung. Not surprisingly his worldview hinges upon the destruction of Israel by jihad (here; translated by the Global Muslim Brotherhood Daily Report):

Ghannouchi maintains that altogether the Arab revolutions are positive for the Palestinians, and threaten to bring Israel to an end. He says that the Palestinian problem lies at the heart of the Nation [umma], and that all the land between the mosque in Mecca and Jerusalem represents the heart of the Islamic Nation, and any [foreign] control over part of this heart is a stamp on the umma’s illness. There is no doubt, he continues, that the revolutions open a new age, in which the regimes which support the West and Israel fall – Egypt, Tunis and soon Libya, Yemen and Syria. The foundations of Western interests in the Arab countries are shaking. Sheikh Ahmad Yassin, he concludes, said that Israel will come to an end prior to 2027; this date looks far, and may be Israel will come to an end sooner.

There is no doubt — and there never was any doubt– about Obama’s sympathies. The fact that so many of the mainstream population, and the entire mainstream media choose to veil their vision, may bring about the total down fall of America, and the rest of the Western world. Which is speedily spiralling downward into decadence.
And here, I thought the Tunisians would elect Rudi Gugliani for their President! I’m shocked!

Yet we allow the goose neck SOB in Syria to slaughter his own people.
Maybe it’s because Syria is the Iranian proxy.
The Tunisian Islamists are cloaking their true aims in moderate language.
But they are totalitarian to the core.
People are blind to it just as they were blind to the reality Castro was more than just an “agrarian reformer.”
Again, the Tunisian Islamists are not moderates and not democrats. History will bear this out.
At every turn, the Obama administration’s Mideast policies have empowered jihadists to rule their respective countries, resulting in greater peril for Israel. There comes a point when one has to conclude that this is not by accident or incompetence.
He is spouting classic Islamic doctrine.
