Tom Homan: ‘He’s Not Gonna Win This’

Peloni: Per well placed source, Tom Homan revealed to a well-respected counterterrorism analyst who served in the JCS that he goes on national television to talk about illegal alien deportation efforts but, in reality, he has no staff.

Tom Homan Says Illegal Immigrant That Threatened Trump Will Live To Regret It

Border czar Tom Homan said on Thursday that the illegal immigrant who made a threat on President Donald Trump’s life will not get away with his actions.

Ramon Morales-Reyes, a Mexican national with a lengthy criminal record, sent a handwritten letter to the U.S. government stating that he will self-deport himself once he shoots Trump with his “30 yard 6” firearm, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced. Following Morales-Reyes’ arrest, Homan said on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” that he is “foolish” for making a threat against Trump and that he will be deported.

“He’s being detained [and] he’ll be removed. I mean, he’s exactly the priority that President Trump has us focusing on, public safety threats. And he has a significant criminal history,” Homan said. “[It’s] foolish on him to make a threat against the president, it’s just gonna add another criminal charge. I mean, Secret Service is investigating that allegation. He’ll probably end up with another charge on top of the others. And we’ll detain him and as soon as he gets out, he’ll be deported.”

Morales-Reyes illegally entered the U.S. on nine separate occasions between 1998 and 2005, and had been arrested for a felony hit and run, according to DHS. He appeared angry about Trump’s mass deportations, writing that the president had been “deporting [his] family” and that it is time that the president “gets what he has coming to him.”

“I will see [Trump] at one of his big rallies,” Morales-Reyes wrote in the last line of the letter.

An Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) field intelligence officer received the letter in the mail, leading to Morales-Reyes’ arrest on May 22, according to DHS. He remains in ICE custody at Dodge County Jail in Juneau, Wisconsin, where he is awaiting his deportation proceedings.

Homan further said that the suspect “will have a hard time” returning to the U.S. once he is deported.

“Every single border agent is on the line now defending that [southern] border, along with DOD on the border by the thousands,” Homan said. “So he’s gonna have a hell of a time coming back, but if he does, that’s a felony reentry charge. We will quickly detain him and charge him with a felony … he will serve even more prison time. He’s not gonna win this.”

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem called on all politicians and members of the media to “tone down their rhetoric” following this threat, especially given that Trump already faced two assassination attempts on his life in 2024.

“This threat comes not even a year after President Trump was shot in Butler, Pennsylvania, and less than two weeks after former FBI Director Comey called for the President’s assassination,” Noem said. “All politicians and members of the media should take notice of these repeated attempts on President Trump’s life and tone down their rhetoric. I will continue to take all measures necessary to ensure the protection of President Trump.”
