US President Donald Trump on Monday issued an emergency declaration to support the security of President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration, NBC News reported.
The declaration gives Washington, D.C. supplemental federal law enforcement assistance from the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
The US Secret Service and the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies also vowed robust security last week following the violent clash at the US Capitol, the report said.
The decision to issue an emergency declaration came after the FBI warned of plans for armed protests at all 50 state capitols and in Washington in the days leading up to Biden’s inauguration, according to The Associated Press.
An internal FBI bulletin warned that, as of Sunday, the nationwide protests may start later this week and extend through Biden’s January 20 inauguration, according to two law enforcement officials.
“Armed protests are being planned at all 50 state capitols from 16 January through at least 20 January, and at the US Capitol from 17 January through 20 January,” the bulletin said, according to one official.
Trump continues to face backlash over the violence at the US Capitol last week, which resulted in several deaths, including a Capitol police officer.
Also on Monday, acting US Department of Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf resigned in the wake of the violence.

Grounds for hope of sorts may arrive once Biden-Harris are inaugurated. It will then be difficult to rely on Trump-hate to keep their political coalition together. People will begin to focus on how well the new administration is dealing with the depression, the purported COVID crisis, possible aggression by China, Russia, and Iran. There is every reason to believe that they will fail in all of these respects. The BIden-Harris adminitration will become increasingly unpopular. Those Republicans who have deserted Trump because they blame him for the “invasion” of the Capiol will have their attention turned to the proposed inflationary measures of Biden-Harris that they oppose, the administrations’ hostility to Israel and alliance with Iran and China, etc.
If Trump keeps a relatively low profile, which I assume he will be forced to do to avoid imprisonment or assassination, the new administration will be judged by the people on whether or not they relieve the suffering of the people caused by the lockdowns. If they continue to persecute Trump as a means of retaining the loyaly of their supporters, since hate-Trump has been their only issue and means of generating support, that will probably trigger an angry response from a large part of the Amereican population. Either way, once in office, the Biden-Harris team will rapidly lose popularity, and their ability to enforce coercive measures and corrupt election laws will gradually diminish over the next four years. That is what we must hope for.
Actually, the FBI is sending out hordes of agents to arrest as many leaders of pro-Trump rallies as possible. The claim that “extremists” are planning rallies in “all fifty states is just b.s to justify the mass arrests of pro-Trump leaders. The massive Troops in DC are to prevent any protests against the Biden inauguration. Also, possibly, to arrest Trump loyalists who are still in Washington, including Congressmen, administration officials and Trump himself. This is a putch.
Twitter has removed a total of 70,000 accounts of suspected Trump supporters. A coalition of big companies, including the communications and tech monopolies, has pledged not to send any donations to Republicans. The corporate oligarch’s coalition is also trying to shut shut down all websites and social media that raise money for pro-Trump and Republican causes, including Trump’s campaign committee. There is also an effort being made by the corporate oligarchs’ coalition, including tsome big banks, banks, to prevent anyone from transferring money to these pro-Trump committees and PACS via Paypal, credit cards, etc.
