PELONI: I was greatly disappointed that it took a month for this announcement to be made by the Trump administration. There is no good faith basis on which these economic sanctions have been raised against Israel and permitting such an economic war to be raised by Western democracies is unprecedented under international law, as it is focused against the only democratic nation in the Middle East, thus revealing more about those nations raising these measures. Good to see the US finally making this clear to its earstwhile European allies.
The U.S. has threatened retaliatory sanctions, including trade tariffs, against Britain, France, Norway and other allies over their coordinated economic boycotts and import bans on Israeli settlements of Judea and Samaria.
