Trump vows to ‘rescue’ Iranian Protestors if Iran uses force to end the protests

Peloni:  Trump offers support to the protestors.  What form would that take?  He could carry out strikes against the regime, which would include targeting the IRGC or the Basij which is responsible for political enforcement by regime on the people. This would have an immediate effect on the stability of the regime and it would lead to direct support of the protest movement.  Alternatively, he could pursue an economic response in the form of enforcing his yet to be enforced trade limits on the sale of Iranian oil which is being exceeded by 20-fold or more.  This would have a slightly delayed but profound effect on the regime’s ability to pay its security and armed forces, though it would run afoul of Iran’s largest customer of its oil, China.  Ultimately, Trump’s previous statement opposing regime change stands as a contrasting element to his claim to now ‘rescue’ the protestors.  So is this a further attempt to apply pressure for the Mullahs to negotiate, or is it a sincere statement of support which the Iranian people can rely upon?

  1. The trouble with President Trump is that he says a lot of things. Sometimes he means exactly what he says. Sometimes he does not. For the most part, he’s on point. I do believe that he means what he said on this issue. Unlike his predecessors like Obama who when he had the opportunity to help the Iranian people who were begging him for help, did more than nothing. He helped the Ayatolla regime and screwed the people. Biden of course did more of the same.
I have no idea how he plans to help them and frankly I’m not sure that he knows yet either. I would think that a combination of what you (Larry) suggested would be the best way. Smuggling in guns to the people is absolutely required. They need help to defend themselves and help to overthrow that nasty regime. Economic sanctions haven’t worked and they will never work against Iran. Because the Ayatollahs don’t give a damn if every Iranian citizen dies, has no gas, electricity, heat or food. As long as they can continue to attack Israel and other people who defy them, they will do so.
Iran has a population of about 93 million people. Estimates are that approx. 80% of Iranians want to throw out their radical Islamic regime. That means that over 70 million people are on our side. So far only tiny Israel has stepped up to the plate to help them. It’s high time that the US under President Trump do all they can do overthrow that regime. They have a window of opportunity do it now. The geopolitical world changes very quickly. We don’t know what tomorrow will bring. Now is the perfect time to do it. I know that Bibi certainly is on board. He and his team and most Israelis understand that Iran is the head of the snake. If they want to finish off Hamas, Hezbolla, Houthis, arab terrorists within Israel and the territories, Syria and the rest: Destroy the Ayattolah regime in Iran! Once they are gone, the rest will follow. I’m very sure that Israel can get to their top religious leaders (Ayatollah and the rest of those nasty clerics). I’m guessing that Trump is stopping them. If that’s the case, the president couldn’t be more wrong. He continues to say that he is willing to negotiate with them. Again, does he really mean it? And if he doesn’t then why does he say so? No one should ever negotiate with terrorists. Ever, period! There is only one thing to do with them: Kill them.
