After the attacks on US bases on Sunday, the US and Iran have agreed to end hostilities. Another nod to Iran? Ultimately, this won’t matter. The Iranians are incapable of coming to terms. They will employ violence, disengagement, threats, and a great deal more, simply to delay the process. None of this is new, and the Iranians are quite well practiced at these shenanigans. The question is how much rope Trump will grant Iran before pulling the cord tight. It won’t be endless.
