17:12 – Pakistan reminds Iran of defense pact with Saudi Arabia to stop further attacks
Nuclear-armed Pakistan has stressed its defense pact with Saudi Arabia in talks with the Iranian leadership, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said at a news conference in Islamabad on Tuesday.
“I informed the Iranian side about our defense agreement,” said Dar, “The Iranian side said Saudi Arabia should ensure that its territory is not used against Iran.”
The Iranian regime has conducted several attacks against U.S. facilities on Saudi territory as well as on oil facitilies in the country.
Dar noted there are 2.5 million Pakistanis living in Saudi Arabia, and 33,000 Pakistanis are stranded in Iran.

16:45 – Israel reportedly strikes senior Iranian council during election of new Supreme Leader
Israeli and U.S. airstrikes hit the meeting of the Iranian Assembly of Experts, the body responsible for electing the new Supreme Leader, destroying the building in Qom as the council was voting on the new leader, Israeli sources told media outlets.
It is unclear how many of the 88 members were there at the moment of the attack. Reports of a strike on the site were confirmed by the Iranian outlet Tasnim, which is affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

The Qatari military carried out a strike on Iranian territory at some point during the past 24 hours, Channel 12 reported, citing Western sources.

A number of the Iranian attacks on Saudi Arabia originated from Iraq, according to sources cited by the Saudi Al Hadath channel, which noted that the Kingdom is closely monitoring the situation.
Some of the various Iraq-based Iranian terror proxies have taken responsibility for attacks on U.S. targets in Iraqi Kurdistan in recent days.
Earlier today, Saudi Arabia strongly condemned what it described as a “blatant Iranian attack” targeting the U.S. embassy building in Riyadh.

The Kremlin stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin will convey the concerns among Arab leaders about Tehran’s strikes on oil infrastructure to the Iranian leadership, amid ongoing attacks by the regime against Gulf countries.
On Monday, Putin held phone calls with four Arab Gulf state leaders, offering to use his ties to Iran to try and deescalate the situation in the region. “Putin will certainly make every effort to contribute to at least a slight easing of tensions,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

“Overnight (Monday), the Israeli Air Force, acting on precise intelligence, struck and dismantled facilities within the leadership compound of the Iranian terrorist regime in the heart of Tehran,” the military stated.
