Peloni: Indeed, there is no choice to be made in battling terror armies whose entire focus is upon the slaughter and mayhem. Hence, any ‘resolution’ to the current conflict must be structured around this reality in order to not face the horrors of the past year in the near or coming future.

Someone says, “We have no choice but to keep fighting until we are safe.” I hate to say it, but that day will never come, at least not until the Moshiach arrives. Maybe it’s a good thing, (in a perverse sort of way), for Israel to always be under threat. In that way, Israel will never let down its guard, and the people will be forced to be more cohesive, knowing that it’s “us against the world”. A false sense of security always leads to disaster.
