By Omri Ceren, Contentions,
There are a number of signs the Obama White House is ready to establish something more than a modus vivendi with Hezbollah-controlled Lebanon. From siding with Beirut over Jerusalem regarding maritime resources to providing weapons to the Hezbollah-infiltrated LAF on the thinnest pretexts, the administration seems intent on “biting the bullet,” “living in the real world,” “negotiating with enemies not friends,” or whatever leaden catchphrase we’re using this week to justify bringing into the tent fanatics who want to destroy us.…
But let’s all keep in mind what Hezbollah is, because there was a time when even the echo of something like national honor would have precluded sitting across the table from them or anyone who refused to repudiate them. We owe more than a few Hezbollah leaders death sentences, and we owe the organization itself nothing less than unremitting hostility until we or they lose (as the world’s only hyperpower, in theory I like our odds). Instead the White House is actively searching for loopholes to maintain or enhance bilateral relations with Hezbollah-controlled Lebanon. So it’s worth reviewing how in 1984 Hezbollah kidnapped CIA Lebanon Station Chief William Buckley as he was leaving his house in the morning. They tortured him continuously for 15 months, occasionally sending videos of him naked and screaming to U.S. bureaus and agencies in Europe, until his body gave out. In the meantime, Hezbollah used the information he provided to dismantle U.S. intelligence assets in the Levant.…
In 1988, a few years after Buckley’s torture and murder, Hezbollah kidnapped U.S. Marine Colonel Rich Higgins. Higgins, who at the time was serving as a UN military observer, was tortured and eventually murdered.…
And of course, there are the 63 people Hezbollah murdered when they bombed our Beirut embassy in 1982, the 241 Marines they killed in their barracks in 1983, and the 18 serviceman they killed near the Torrejon Air Force Base in 1984. These might all be water under the bridge to the reset-philic neophytes who inhabit the White House, but the Hezbollah leaders who committed these atrocities are very much aware of who is coming to whom asking for talks, and under the shadow of what crimes. Americans should be as well.…
With the possible exception of al Qaeda, and driven by their state sponsor Iran, there is no terrorist organization more thoroughly committed to undermining American interests globally. What is the White House possibly thinking?
@ Linda Rivera:
Linda Rivera Said:
There is no such thing as a free world. Some countries allow greater personal liberties, that’s all but unless a country is economically independent they are not free. In a modern security state people willingly relinquish their liberty for security.

I didn’t need Aron klein’s expose to know what the American trained Pali Army was bring trained for. Anyone with eyes, ears and a modicum of brain matter could fathom what was/is taking place and why. Guess our unworthy leaders were lacking in all especially the the modicum of brain matter. They seem to love being kicked around particularity if the American President is doing the kicking. I think their innate masochism turns them on.
New York City officials and our U.S. government are not distressed in any way that devout Muslims murdered our 3,000 innocents in New York City on 9/11. NYC officials and our mayor are EAGER for a victory mosque to HONOR Islam at the place where our 3,000 were slaughtered by the followers of Islam.
Our country cannot survive the constant betrayals, the utter contempt for Islam’s many victims, the love of totalitarian Islam and the hate for non-Muslims, America, Israel and the free world that is demonstrated by our leaders.
To Yamit82,
One of the U.S. trained Muslim terrorists told journalist, Aaron Klein, that all of the American military training is used against Israel. Obviously, that is EXACTLY what it is intended to do. The PLO/PA are U.S. leaders’ proxy army against the Jewish people.
No doubt, this administration will be delighted to engage with the Hezbollah terrorists who are now NEAR the U.S. border. And maybe, even invite some Hezbollah operatives into high positions of our government.

Terrorist Group Setting Up Operations Near Border
Hezbollah Considered To Be More Advanced Than Al-Qaida
The agent said the real concern is the group’s long-term goal of radicalizing Muslim communities.
“They’re focusing on developing … infiltrating communities within North America,” the agent told 10News.

Feel the love.
@keelie –
Bush invaded Iraq and Afghanistan ostensibly to bring justice to the perps of 9/11. Yet treated Hezbollah with kid gloves. Apparently revenge and American national interest is only there when there is an economic benefit. Lebanon till now didn’t have OIL, a Suez Canal or a land link between the landlocked oil rich FSR and Pakistan. Oil companies needed Afghanistan pacified in-order to build pipelines through that vast territory to the sea in Pakistan.
How many Americans were killed in and out of Israel by the PLO, yet America finances them trains and supplies their growing army.
America is the most hypocritical of nations; what governs and dictates their actions is always avarice no matter how they spin it.
Evidently, Keelie doesn’t believe in the power of positive thinking. After all, one can’t surrender to one’s friends. To show how much he trusts Hezbollah, President Obama should take the additional step of letting his wife and daughters live with Hezbollah for a month. America, being the “only remaining super-power in the 21st century”, must emphasize diplomacy over hostility in this increasingly smaller and interconnected world. If this experiment in diplomacy were to somehow go wrong (i.e. the rape and beheading of the female Obamas), our next president could always avenge them.
The Israeli government has denied the Ha’Aretz report http://www.haaretz.com/print-edition/news/u-s-backs-lebanon-on-maritime-border-dispute-with-israel-1.372377 that the U.S. is backing Lebanon in this maritime border dispute. http://www.thejewishweek.com/news/israel/israel_lebanon_tensions_sea_change
I have been an admirer of Omri Ceren’s writing for a long time. However, here he states the obvious – clearer and more factually than the average – but does not explore the underlying urge of the Obama administration to castrate itself. At least that is the way most people see the situation who have a modicum of self-respect.
It is not that way at all. Others’ views are not Mr. Obama’s. Rather, the administration is filled with people – mostly at the very top – who view human suffering as collateral damage to foreign policy decisions. Mr. Obama in particular seems never to take account of rights violations, death in the streets, threats of annihilation, or torture of the citizenry in the daily routine of regimes when he makes his decisions. Just like a normal person slaps a mosquito without pangs of conscience, so Mr. Obama is quite able to ignore the destruction of other humans in his pursuit of foreign policy objectives. This disability to experience empathy is probably “over-determined”, that is, it has multiple causes, including personality structure as determined by genetics, early childhood family trauma, and training in Marxist-Leninist interpretation of reality that justifies the death of others as inevitable or even desirable in pursuit of power and control. Perhaps this analysis best explains the strange bedfellows of the far Left and triuphalist Islam.
I will never forget the short video of the hanging of Saddam Hussein in which he went to his death without fear, even aiding in placing the noose. Multiple interpretations of his bravado in the face of death are possible. 1) He valued life so little that even his own death was of no personal interest to him. 2) He knew deep in his heart that his death would free him from the torture and pain in his personal existence. 3) He knew deep in his heart that his death would make the world a cleaner and sweeter place for those who remained behind. 4) He embraced the inevitable.
How Mr. Obama views the nature of his personal existence, in light of the above anecdote, is key to the immediate and intermediate future of the the United States and, thus, those who still value “freedom from” – all those negative rights we so archaically cherish. I do not wish to trust my family’s continued existence to someone of such foreign impulses and inclinations. I hope (and pray) America is smart enough to vote him home to Chicago or Kenya.

Well is sure doesn’t look like:
