Wish It Wasn’t So, But….

by Gerald A. Honigman

I’m agonizing over New York Times editorial positions yet again.

The latest source of acid reflux was this…

https://tinyurl.com/y3y2zxey

I proceeded to send the editorial staff a letter thanking them for the alert and update regarding the current conflict with a genocidal regime of megalomaniacal mullahs which has openly declared, since 1979, the total obliteration of the sole, resurrected, minuscule nation of Israel Reborn as being its first major goal in its worldwide conquest of the rest of the kafir/infidel, non-Islamic world.

Contrary to the Times’s own ideas about doing less, Trump simply is not carrying this war effort far enough—unless he has something similar to what was required after WWII dealing with Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan in mind.

In order for Iran’s proud and oppressed people to finally gain their freedom and ability to develop democratic institutions, America will have to bite the proverbial bullet and follow this war effort to the end, settling for no less than total, uncompromising victory and unconditional surrender of the Nazi-like regime which has been terrorizing millions of different peoples in the region and elsewhere, and slating Israel and its people for total elimination.

The regime which TNYT seems to enjoy defending has hijacked the proud, 3-4 millennia old history of the pre-jihadi conquest by invading Arab hordes pouring in from a fast desiccating Arabian Peninsula in the 7th century C.E. which spread out in all directions, slaughtering countless millions in the process of expanding the Dar ul-Islam as far as possible.

On the Indian subcontinent alone, the numbers of beheaded Hindu, Sikh, and Buddhist victims have been staggering, and is ongoing to this very day, triggering the recent was between India and Arabized and Islamized Pakistan, which was created as a result of earlier Arab conquests. Ditto for Bangladesh as well.

Ancestral native peoples had their own homelands forcibly STOLEN from them in the name of ARABISM:…

Judaeans, Kurds, Egyptian Copts, North African Amazigh/Kabyle “Berbers,” sub-Saharan black Africans, descendants of Phoenician Lebanese, Assyrian and Chaldean Christians, Druze, and other indigenous peoples as well…

https://tinyurl.com/4bd3v26d

These colonizing, settling Arab Muslim invaders next had the audacity to claim the entire region of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and other adjacent territories (in addition to other lands as far away as the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc.) as being merely “purely Arab patrimony,” and to hell with anyone else’s own original pre-Arab conquest claims…

https://share.google/l8cC2xBg1eZ4VWuT2

These peoples have been continuously victimized, as the massacres of blacks in Nigeria and Sudan; Druze, Assyrian and Chaldean Christians, Yazidis, and Kurds in Syria; Copts in Egypt; Judaeans/Jews in Israel: and Hindus in India exemplify.

ARABISM then takes this a step further by proclaiming that it is ZIonism—the desire of the Jewish People to have in one tiny resurrected, four millennia old ancestral homeland what Arabs have violently grabbed and created for themselves from mostly other native peoples in almost two dozen independent states today—which is the source of many if not most of the problems in the region and elsewhere.

What claims do Jews have on any other ancestral peoples’s homelands but their own—what Zionism is all about?

Most of ARABISM’s over six million square miles of territory was literally STOLEN from other native peoples’s homelands. And the inhabitants were given the choice to either convert to Islam or have their heads separated from their bodies, with women and children taken as booty and enslaved.

Later, a system of dhimmitude was created for Christians, Jews, and Persian Zoroastrians which allowed the conquered people to remain alive as a source of taxation for the various Muslim empires, sultanates, emirates, and such that they lived in. The dhimmi also had degrading conditions imposed upon them as a reminder of Islam’s supremacy.

ARABISM—largely due to the virulent animus ingrained and inculcated into much of the world against “god-killing, perfidious, wandering Jews” via almost two thousand years of Church teachings and indoctrination, combined with Islam’s own hatred of alleged “kilab yahud” Jew dog killers of prophets—has greatly benefited from billions of dollars of black African slaver autocratic Arab oil potentate donations to universities and secondary school education all over the world to influence how subjects related to the Middle East and the overall Arab-Israeli conflict in general are taught and who gets to teach such courses. All of this is well documented…

https://tinyurl.com/mryb5t3r

Add to the above mix the animosity of the “woke” misnamed “Progressive” Left—mostly ignorant of the actual history and politics of the region as spelled out above, etc.—and it’s not a surprise that after the equivalent of 40,000 American civilians were gruesomely butchered, burned alive, gang raped and mutilated and then brought back on trucks and motorcycles for display in Gaza on October 7th, 2023, Simchat Torah, that most of the world blamed Israel itself for the Arabs’s butchery…

https://tinyurl.com/5nz28uwc

Like most other mainstream media outlets, TNYT has repeatedly taken Israel to task for the ongoing violence ever since, and has tried to morally equate what Israel has done to defend itself from future atrocities committed by an Arab organization unabashedly admitting that its goal, like the mullahs in the misnamed Islamic “Republic” of Iran, is the total eradication of Israel and of Jews everywhere…

https://tinyurl.com/37dxbssr

Anyone whose grey matter is functioning properly must surely understand that any nation has the right to defend itself; and that when non-combatants are unintentionally killed because the folks they elected to power routinely use them as human shields after committing atrocities and then in a cowardly manner run back to hide behind their own women and children cannot be morally equated to innocent infants, other children, and adults DELIBERATELY chosen for wholesale slaughter….with their mutilated and gang raped bodies posted on the internet for all the world to see.

I had the serendipitous pleasure of accidentally attending Yom Kippur services at a new synagogue in 2024.

Little did I know that the self-proclaimed font of all Middle East knowledge, TNYT’s Tom Friedman, would be delivering the post religious service presentation, along with one of the infamous Oslo Peace (of the grave) Plan’s main architects, Denis Ross.

During the implementation of Ross’s brainchild, the more Israel yielded for peace, the more blown up buses, ice cream parlors, pizzerias, Passover Seders, and such it got in return…

https://tinyurl.com/ywxn8wer

Arafat and his buddies got ancestral Judean real estate in Bethlehem, Hebron, the Judaean Hills, and such as their end of Denis’s bargain.

David was born in Bethlehem and anointed King of Israel and Judah by the Prophet Samuel in Hebron, 900 years after the Hebrew Patriarch Abraham purchased a burial plot there for most.of the Jews’s Patriarchs and Matriarchs.

In the Judaean town of Modi’n, the Hasmonian family of fierce Judaean warriors, the Maccabees (“hammers”) led the revolt against pagan Greeks and Syrians for Judah/Judaea’s freedom and religious liberty from forced conversions.

The story of Chanukah is an account of this revolt, which can be found in the Apocrypha (post Biblical history and moral teachings of the Jewish People) several centuries before another famous Judaean, Yehoshua/Jesus, was also born in the City of David, Bethlehem. Later, David purchased a site from Jebusite Canaanites on Mt. Moriah, aka, Mt. Zion, in Jerusalem some three thousand years ago.

Just as an aside, I’m happy to say that despite the latter day Arafatians in suits of “pay to slay” Fatah and Mahmoud Abbas being gifted with this historically Jewish land via the infamous Oslo Accords, my forever timely book is being used in Bethlehem University.

Having done extensive doctoral work in this area and related fields of study myself, I have also followed TNYT’s Friedman’s double standards and hypocritical writings for decades, and dreamt of the chance to confront him in person one day.

I’m convinced that it was beshert—meant to be—that I would be away from my beloved family and Florida, and in Rockville, Maryland on that holiest day on the Hebrew calendar.

Let’s just say that when the Q & A session ensued after both Friedman and Ross’s joint presentations, both were left stuttering and at a loss for words. Ross’s wife had to drag him away as I tried for more discussion after services.

His pathetic defense of Friedman was that nobody cares about Kurds, and the so-called “Palestinians” were the cause celebre. I fell like flooring them both at that point.

https://tinyurl.com/ybazz9vs

All Friedman could do before stumbling for words and taking a seat was to ask me for my name.

His hypocrisy was displayed before about 700 people when I directly quoted his telling 40 million truly stateless Kurds, who were repeatedly gassed to death and otherwise murdered by Arabs, in both Syria and Iraq (and Turkey, etc.), that they MUST not separate from their mass executioners—even though they pre-dated their Arab and Turk conquerors by millennia in the lands they all live in now.

At the same time, the font of all manufactured, non-knowledge has repeatedly written that yet a 22nd Arab nation must be born, SECOND. not first, for ARABISM in the original 1920 Mandate of Palestine, since almost 80% of the territory was lopped off to create what is now Jordan in 1922.

And for this to occur, Tom demands that Israel remain a 9–15 mile wide, 1949 Auschwitz/armistice line sardine can of a nation with no additional claims to sovereignty whatsoever in 4,000 year old ancestral Jewish homelands.

In international law, a people doesn’t lose legitimate rights because it has to fight one imperial invader after another in its territory, and, unfortunately, winds up in exile as a result.

Read about this well documented history here…

Following the June ‘67 War, after much debate, the usually hostile United Nations itself came out with UNSC Resolution 242, which called for a reasonable and effective territorial compromise in the lands Israel came to hold when hostilities ceased had ne

Many of those lands were historically well corroborated ancestral Jewish territory, especially in Judea and Samaria, but also on the Golan Heights and Gaza too.

ARABs were the relative new-coming SETTLERS here—not Jews.

The Minutes of the Permanent Mandates Commission of the League of Nations recorded thousands upon thousands of Arabs pouring into the Mandate from Syria, Egypt, and other surrounding countries due to the economic development occurring with the return of the Jews. Jewish families were also present which had never been exiled, and one half of Israel’s Jews today are from families which fled the so-called Arab/Muslim world.

Hamas’s very own “patron saint,” for whom its rockets and butcher battalions are named, Sheikh Izzedin al-Qassam, entered into the Mandate in the post-WWI era, and proceeded to slaughter Jews at will. He was born in Latakia. Syria, like many other alleged “native Palestinians’.”

And while all of these folks were later dubbed the “true aboriginals” of the Jews’s 4,000 year old ancestral homelands, tens of thousands of Syrian Jews who came into Israel were dubbed “colonizing settlers” instead.

The very name “Jew” is a shortened form of “Judaean,” a person from JUDAEA…not the “West Bank.”

Question: Do the Gospels state that Yehoshua/Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea or Bethlehem of the “West Bank”?

Is this Roman coin of conquest at the top of this link an “Iudaea (Judaea) Capta. or “West Bank” or “Palaestina” Capta one?

Finally, the assorted Arab proxies of the genocidal Arabized Iranian mullahs have the same homicidal intentions towards Israel that their enablers have, and so must be dealt with the same way…

Regarding TNYT usual criticism of President Trump (whom I’ve also had published differences with) and American foreign policy, here’s my own earlier assessment of this media outlet’s opinions…

  1. As always, A must read. Forwarding.

I also highly recommend “The Quest for Justice in the Middle East: The Arab-Israeli-Conflict in Greater Perspective”. 2009. Also by Gerald A. Honigman.

If I had to recommend just one book to someone who knows nothing, it would be this one. Would love to see it updated to the present. Thank you, Mr. Honigman.

And I thank you for writing and Peloni for publishing this important article.

    • I am once again humbled by your appreciation of my work. Thank you so. very much.

I indeed have more than enough material for a follow up to my book, but I’m getting older and don’t want to have to jump through hoops again to find a publisher.

The cost of publicity and such is retraining when I’m depending largely on Social Security for living expenses.

Thanks again for your wonderful compliment…

      Jerry

  2. I’m not sure what the word “intellectual” means in the City of New York, but if the New York Times is still being supported by so-called “intellectuals” we have to find another word for these NYT supporters.
Folks… your level of intelligence is nowhere near what you have convinced yourself that it is….
