Jew is a nation. A better word is Israelite.
So Israel is a national state of Jewish people. And even in the Bible we are described as a people. And God it telling us that we are “a people”. A bad people, good people, hard necked people, people who dwell alone, but PEOPLE.
So we are a people not a religion.
Get this, because RELIGIONS DO NOT DESERVE A STATE.

This one confusion is why so many people object to Israel. They think well, Southern Baptists don’t have a country, neither do Methodists. Buddhist, don’t have a country neither do any other religion.
So therefore Jews don’t need a country either.
