The Embassy of Qatar in Washington, D.C., via its deputy chief of mission Hamad Al-Muftah,  is promoting a Qatar-based anti-U.S., anti-Trump influencer and self-proclaimed “disruptor-strategist.” This “disruptor’s” online activity includes spreading anti-U.S. misinformation, accusing it of war crimes against Iran and depicting President Trump as a child molester and a war criminal. On his X account, Al-Muftah praised the disruptor’s “investigative work.”

All the while, Al-Muftah has been maintaining a false facade of being an ally of the U.S.:  On his X account, as well as on other platforms, Al-Muftah constantly emphasizes the cooperation between the U.S. and Qatar, and expresses fake solidarity with U.S. interests.

This is not the first time that Qatar has operated disrupting agents on U.S. soil. According to media reports, in 2017, Qatar hired the services of ex-CIA agent Kevin Chalker to spy on U.S. legislators who were pushing for legislation against Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood.[1].

It should be noted that Qatar has, directly and indirectly, provided economic and political support for all the extremist Islamic terror organizations: the Muslim Brotherhood, Al-Qaeda, and even ISIS-linked groups. Qatar is responsible for the 9/11 attacks in the U.S., as the attacks’ mastermind was a Qatari state employee.[2] For years, it has sheltered the leaders of jihad organizations and movements, and its state-run media outlet, Al-Jazeera – which actually served as the Iranian regime’s mouthpiece during the recent war – is rife with anti-U.S. and anti-West content.[3]

Al-Muftah Praises And Promotes An Anti-U.S., Anti-Trump, Pro-Iran Self-Described “Disruptor”

As noted, Qatari deputy chief of mission to Washington D.C. Hamad Al-Muftah praised Marc C. Norris, a Qatar-based “disruptor” who goes by @ bubachunks on X and marc.c.norris on Instagram, for his “investigative work.” Below are some examples of Norris’s anti-U.S. posts and commentary:

On Instagram on April 7, Norris shared an AI-generated image depicting a Truth Social post by President Trump along with a disheveled Trump speaking from a bombed-out podium and wrote: “He’s doing a very good job of destroying the U.S. from within. He is nothing but a war criminal.”

n an earlier post on Instagram, on February 19, Norris shared an image of a U.S. battleship with the text “Strike on Iran as soon as this weekend? U.S. military build up in the region continue [sic] to surge,” and asked: “What is it exactly that Iran has done wrong?… Has it kidnapped the leader of neighbouring countries?” He answered his own question, stating: “No, that was the U.S.”

Accusing the U.S. of “targeting children” on March 26 on Instagram, Norris reiterated his claim that America was guilty of war crimes.

On January 15, 2026, Norris – whom Al-Muftah had congratulated with a hearty “well done” – shared an image on Instagram claiming that the U.S. uses the defense of “Muslim women’s rights” as a pretext to attack Iran, and wrote: “Human rights” talk, the “rights of Muslim women” are drumrolls before an airstrike.”

In a post on October 10, 2025, Norris shared an image labeling President Trump, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, FBI Director Kash Patel, and political advisor Stephen Miller “genocide enablers” and wrote: “@ internationalcriminalcourt, do your thing.”

Norris published similar posts in January 2025 about outgoing President Joe Biden and Biden administration officials, calling him “Genocide Joe” and calling them “state sanctioned criminals.”

Norris – Whom Al-Muftah Praises – Depicts President Trump As A Child Molester

Norris devotes a significant portion of his online activity to promoting the narrative about President Trump as a child molester. Below are some of these posts:

In a November 12, 2025 post featuring an image of President Trump with the text “I [photo of Jeffrey Epstein] kids!” Norris wrote: “Trump ‘spent hours’ with victim at Epstein’s house. Trump has been mentioned in emails…”

A similar post by Norris, on October 18, 2025, included an AI-generated image of President Trump as Epstein; Norris added: “Not much to say here…make it go viral”

Who Is Marc C. Norris?

Norris, the self-proclaimed “disruptor-strategist,” was appointed commercial director for Vodafone Qatar in 2012 and in 2014 was its chief commercial officer; he was still in that position as of 2020. Vodafone is one of Qatar’s two top telecom companies and serves 2.2 million customers. In 2014, he represented Vodafone in its partnering with Qatar National Bank, signing the cooperation agreement.

Norris said about the agreement: “We are very proud of our partnership with QNB, the largest bank in Qatar.” Under the agreement, Vodafone Qatar would provide Internet services to QNB agents.

Past Qatari Attempts At Political Disruption In The U.S.

According to Associated Press and Fox News reports, in March 2017 Qatar’s ruling Aal Thani family hired a former CIA official, Kevin Chalker, and his company, Global Research Associates, to spy on U.S. Senators Ted Cruz and Tom Cotton and Representative Mario Diaz-Balart, as well as on former Congressman Ed Royce who had chaired the United States House Committee on Foreign Affairs. The spying initiative, named Project ENDGAME, was aimed at preventing legislation they had initiated against the Muslim Brotherhood, which is Hamas’s parent organization.[4]
