The following exchange below between President Trump and Meet the Press’ Kristen Welker is one of the most effective exchanges displaying the stark disconnect between modern journalism and its abrogated duty to expose corruption in high places in the modern age of democracies.
As Trump continuously attempted to describe the basis for creating a fund which compensated those people whose lives were purposefully destroyed by their own govt over what was almost exclusively manufactured charges of malfeasance, Welker repeatedly talked over Trump, ignoring him as he tried to make the case for compensating people for the damage done to their reputations, that of their families, and their ability to make an income. Worse than this, Welker’s comments seemed to simply repeat the same nonsensical comment, “but there is no evidence of this” in an attempt to solidify support against the people and in support of the govt agencies which were weaponized to silence public dissent in a rigged election dispute, the latter of which she should instead be condemning and investigating for having failed to protect the people instead. Democracies can not exist without an active and aggressive press which is honed towards challenging corruption and wrongdoing on behalf of the people. Indeed, the Fourth Estate in America is dead, and for this fact alone, America’s democratic process is in dire jeopardy of outright failing. Note, this conversation is not about the fund to compensate the victims of political show-trials and outright lawfare, but rather, it is about the survival of a democracy which has been abandoned by both its Elites and the watchdog community of journalists who need to be allied with the people against these elites rather than the other way around. To be honest, Trump understands this, which is why he challenged Welker with being either corrupt or stupid as she seems oblivious of what he is trying to address. Notably, Welker asserts that she is not corrupt…

It seems clear to most of us that the legacy media in the US, UK, the EU and elsewhere are being paid to lie in order to destroy our sovereignty and the sovereignty of other countries around the world.
The legacy media should no longer be respected as “news” or even as “informative,” but as “groupthink,” or outright propaganda.
When we were growing up, we learned that a newspaper in Russia was called “Pravda,” i.e. “Truth.” We Americans thought that was a joke. Now our legacy media is the same sad joke.
The way the legacy media behaves is not about incompetence. It isn’t a mistake the way Kristen Welker behaves. This is their desperate attempt to hold onto those they have indoctrinated into believing them. They are going to try to hold onto the indoctrinated for as long as possible.
In our country, during the COVID period, the things that were initially labeled a “conspiracy theory,” turned out after a year or two to be the truth. The people that were labeled “conspiracy theorists” turned out to be the only ones telling the truth.
It is just a matter of time before the entire US will see the truth. Meanwhile there will be a certain number of people who will believe anything they see on TV, or read in the legacy media. They have been programmed their entire lives, via TV “programs,” including the content and the advertisements.
I think Trump did the right thing. When he realized he was being prevented from airing his views he attempted for a while to convey the truth but Welker would not let him get a word in edgewise. Finally he realized there was no point in even trying to talk with a person who was invested in shutting him down.
It was the most outrageously disrespectful interview of a President in my lifetime. I imagine most people at this point are immune to realizing how disrespectful she was, because so many journalists are disrespectful. I am at an age when I can look back to Presidents as far as John Kennedy and in no case was any President treated the way Kristen Welker and Kaitlin Collins treat President Trump. It has never been done before. But these journalists have no incentive to be respectful. They get paid very well to try to make Trump look bad.
This is the bigger problem: those paying for this media to destroy our Constitutional Republic must be outed and shamed for their actions. Any Americans should be investigated for treason, since they are clearly giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
@EvRe1
Nice analysis!
Why did he waste his time with her? He knew what was coming but sat down with her anyway. At least she didn’t get to scream…
