First, the good news!!! The Trump administration just barred Mahmoud Abbas from New York for the second year, so he can’t attend the United Nations General Assembly.

The State Department did not dress it up. The PA and the PLO, it said, are still internationalizing the war against Israel at the international institutions of the ICC and the ICJ, still chasing unilateral statehood, still paying stipends to terrorists’ families, still glorifying killers in speeches and school textbooks, and still refusing the reforms they promised Washington.

That is a charge sheet that highlights how the Trump administration knows that it is a terror-supporting enemy entity.

And for that, we say thank you President Trump!

Last week in Jerusalem the language got even clearer. Netanyahu and Katz told the IDF to be ready for the day the Palestinian Authority’s armed forces turn their guns on Israel. Not a think-tank hypothetical. An order to the army of the Jewish state: the force we have spent years calling a “partner” will become a front.

So here is the question I ask to Jerusalem and Washington: why is the Palestinian Authority still not being named as an enemy?

An enemy funds terror and calls it welfare. An enemy runs to The Hague instead of dismantling Hamas. An enemy keeps “pay for slay,” keeps the poison in the schools, and trains men with rifles to kill us. An enemy is the one your defense minister says you must be ready to fight.

Netanyahu has already made it clear to the Trump administration that the Palestinian Authority can not be entrusted with running Gaza, because….

Still calling them a potential “peace partner” is not smart diplomacy. It is madness. It lets Europe and the UN keep a seat warm for Abbas while his Palestinian Authority pays terrorists and their families money received from the international community. It lets Israeli officials issue a war warning on Sunday and talk “coordination” on Monday. It tells our soldiers that the Palestinian Authority police officer across the checkpoint is both a colleague and a future shooter.

Trump already listed the crimes. Netanyahu and Katz already described the threat. The missing sentence is the honest one: the Palestinian Authority is not a stalled reform project. It is a hostile regime that supports terror, has not stopped supporting terror, and is building the capacity to attack us.

They are an enemy, 

Say it. Then policy can follow, instead of another decade of pretending the enemy is only Hamas.

I know Netanyahu’s method for international diplomatic reasons: one enemy target at a time. It keeps the facade alive for one more day, and that facade keeps our lives at risk. It is infuriating.

More than half a million Jews in Judea and Samaria live in danger because the Palestinian Authority is still not treated as the enemy that endangers us.

And if the left returns to power while the PA is still standing, never named or removed as an enemy by Netanyahu when he had the chance, that is a dangerous bet with Jewish lives.

The day will come, sooner than we think, when we finally remove the Palestinian Authority, an enemy entity. The Jewish state of Israel will have sovereignty over all of Judea and Samaria. And the local jihadi population that supports killing us will be gone.

Why am I optimistic? Because I am a realist.

There is no other option if we mean to protect our lives and to give Israel, and those Arab Muslims who truly want to live peacefully with us under Jewish sovereignty, a peaceful future.
