Ben-Gvir: “It is time to admit it: Gandhi was right.”

Peloni:  Every plan can be improved upon, and Avi Abelow offers his insights on how Ben Gvir’s Disengagement 710 plan might be changed for the better.  Unfortunately, it must be noted that US influence over Egypt failed to even push Egypt to withdraw their military forces from the Sinai, and rather than US pressure being applied to Sisi to do so, US pressure was instead applied to Bibi to let the Israeli-Egypt gas deal go thru without any concession from Sisi at all.  And the problem of Trump’s 20 Point Plan being watered down to the Egypt-brokered, pro-Hamas version of the 15 point roadmap remains in place, for the moment.  While it is highly likely that this version will ultimately fail as well, when it does, will Trump be open to reconsidering an emigration plan for Gaza, be it that of Trump, Ben-Gvir or Abelow?

“It is time to admit it: Gandhi was right.”

That is what National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said this evening as he announced a Gaza emigration plan on the table.

He was talking about Rehavam “Gandhi” Ze’evi, the Israeli general who said decades ago what polite Israel still tries not to say: this conflict is not solved by fences, cash, or another “day after” fantasy next door to a jihadi Muslim population.

For years, that idea was treated as unspeakable.

Then came October 7th.

October 7th should have ended the lie that Israel can withdraw from land, build a smarter wall, send in Qatari money, and live next to a society that looks upon Mohammad, a mass murderer, as a hero, teaching its children that murdering Jews is holy.

This is not “terrorism” in the Western crime-and-policing sense. This is jihad.

It is a 1,400+ year-old Islamic war, written into the Quran, modeled on Muhammad’s wars against the Jews and all non-Muslims, of Arabia, and preached in mosques, schools, summer camps, and living rooms.

Hamas did not invent Jew-hatred. Hamas is just implementing a theology that already told its followers that Jews are to be fought, humiliated, and, in the end, killed.

Ben-Gvir is now forcing the election to confront that reality.

His plan, “Disengagement 710,” is not a slogan. It is a proposal: encourage 250,000 Gazans to leave in the first year, about 1.11 million within three years, and about 1.86 million within seven years. A dedicated Ministry of Emigration. Destination countries. Legal status. Money for relocation. And he says that ministry will be an Otzma Yehudit coalition demand.

Good.

Every party that wants votes in the upcoming election should have to answer one question: what do you intend to do with Gaza so that October 7th can never happen again?

On the principle, Ben-Gvir is right.

On the timeline, he is not.

Seven years is a gift to the jihadis in Gaza inviting the next massacre.

Look at what the jihadi Muslims in Gaza, including non-combatants, did when it had the chance.

Unarmed Gaza civilians of all ages streamed after the armed invaders into Israeli communities. People looted, kidnapped, filmed, celebrated, poured kerosene, took part in the rampage and killing. Crowds in Gaza cheered as the hostages were paraded through the streets of Gaza, as they chanted Khaybar, Khaybar, ya Yahud, a seventh-century war cry supporting the massacre of Jews, as if October 7th were not a crime but a sacrament.

A society that raises boys to die killing Jews, and girls to praise the “martyrs,” is not a civilian population in the way the West uses that word. It is a jihadi war society with a civilian costume.

Emigration for Gazans is the only policy that treats Jewish life as non-negotiable and still leaves an exit for people who do not want to keep living inside a death cult on our border.

But Ben-Gvir’s published plan stretches that process across seven years.

Israel does not have seven years.

Jihad does not take a sabbatical while Jerusalem builds a new ministry, writes regulations, and waits for the “international community” to grow a spine.

Ben-Gvir’s policy is a multi-year voluntary emigration program: targets, a ministry, coalition conditionality, destination countries, and financial packages for people who agree to leave and for countries that agree to take them.

My recommendation is different, and faster.

Gaza is already a battlefield Hamas created on October 7th. Israel and the United States should not spend years constructing a bureaucracy while jihadis regroup under the rubble and in the tunnels.

There is an exit on the border.

Egypt. Rafah. Sinai.

Cairo has spent this entire war doing everything possible to keep Gazans penned inside the combat zone because Egypt knows exactly what kind of population it would be importing. That is not a secret. That is why Sisi slams the gate.

Israel should stop accepting that as fate.

The United States sends Egypt on the order of a billion dollars a year in military aid. That is leverage. Use it.

Trump should tell Sisi:

“Open Rafah to Gazan civilians who want to leave the war zone, or US financial assistance gets reviewed.”

Open the border. Get noncombatants off the battlefield. Put processing centers in Sinai, away from the tunnels and the launch sites. Then work with Arab and African governments on who stays, who moves on, and who never returns to rebuild the next jihadi armed resistance movement.

That is wartime evacuation. Ben-Gvir’s ministry is postwar administration. Israel needs the first now, not the second in 2033.

Israel must finally get the non-combatant population out of the war zone. Then destroy all the Jihadis who remain in Gaza.

For twenty years the world has given Israel an impossible script:

Hamas hides in hospitals, schools, and apartment blocks.

Hamas uses its own people as human shields.

Then New York, Brussels, and the UN scream that Israel is the criminal if a shield gets hit.

There is a sane answer.

Let civilians who want out, get out, just as the world did in the war zones of Syria and Ukraine.

Then the IDF can hunt the armed jihadis who remain and shatter their infrastructure without fighting with one hand tied and a camera in the other in the pr war.

That is how this war should end.

Not with Hamas “rebranded.”

Not with another international force that will protect the next October 7th planners.

Not with billions poured into rebuilding the same Quran-soaked war society that produced the massacre.

Not with Israel withdrawing so the next generation can study the same verses, the same hadith about rocks and trees calling out the Jew, and the same promise of paradise for killers.

Remove all non-combatants from the Gaza war zone now.

Destroy the remaining jihadist force.

Demilitarize Gaza permanently.

Keep Israeli security control.

Make sure Gaza can never again be a jihadi army on the fence of Jewish towns.

The biggest pushback to any emigration plan is:

“Where Will Two Million People Go? Nobody wants them.

Well, let’s look at a map.

The Arab Muslim Middle East and North Africa is huge. They contain vast, thinly populated land. Plenty of room for the jihadi population in Gaza.

Europe and America should not be the default dumping ground either. Western governments have a duty to vet immigrants and to protect their own citizens from the same jihadi ideology that turned Gaza into a launching pad. Importing unvetted jihadi culture is not compassion. It is how London, Paris, and American campuses got their own October 7th parades.

Give Ben-Gvir credit for putting together a detailed working plan. He named a ministry. He said he will make it a coalition demand. He dragged Gandhi Ze’evi out of the memory hole and forced the campaign to talk about Gaza as a population problem, not just a tunnel problem.

That conversation is overdue.

Now every party should have to answer the same question, in public, with a plan:

What exactly do you do with Gaza?

“Manage Hamas” failed.

“Economic peace” failed.

The fence failed.

Deterrence failed.

The “conception” failed.

October 7th was not a surprise, many of us knew it was inevitable and warned about it before the Gaza expulsion of Jews was implemented in 2005. It was a surprise only to people who ignore that our enemy is a public that believes in 1,400 years of jihad, thinking that giving them independence with no Jews will bring peace.

Ben-Gvir says 1.86 million jihadis in Gaza could leave over seven years.

I say Jewish mothers cannot wait seven years for a ministry to hit its quotas.

Use American leverage on Egypt. Open Rafah for jihadis to escape the war zone. Move people now. Separate the population from the armed jihadis. Let the IDF finish the war, without international headline news bashing Israel for the death of “innocent civilians”.

October 7th was the price of ignoring the reality of jihadi Islam.

The next government has one job: make sure our children never pay that price again. First implement this in Gaza, then in Judea and Samaria, through Jordan. Same jihadi population. Same threat waiting to massacre us.

The Jewish people are waking up to stop this insanity and rid this jihadi evil from God’s holy land, as we are commanded to do.
