PELONI: Bret Hume makes an interesting analogy between Trump’s efforts to turn out the vote in the midterm elections to that of Bill Clinton in 1994, and as he noted it did not work for Clinton. What goes unspoken in this comparison however is that there was no lingering Communist Islamist cabal threatening to take over the country in 1994 if Clinton’s effort failed. In fact, the American people have only recently freed themselves from the incredibly damaging forces which are now looking to take control over Washington’s legislature today. So while Trump’s effort to bring people to the polls is significant, the real motivation for Americans to show up and vote lies with the Democrats themselves who have become even more radicalized and openly revolutionary in the two years since Americans pulled them out of power. We will see if the Americans are so disheartened today as to return control of Washington to the Democrats, but I would not count it as a certainty, no matter what the polls might suggest
