  1. Eve Barlow just tweeted

Turns out Bibi might be one of the greatest leaders of the Jewish people.

Things are a changing, and this proves it.

  2. Thanks Michael.
As it turned out I didn’t really get the time to be gone as Ted Attended to it right away. I was sorry to say goodbye, but I always mean what I seriously say.

Our tussles come into a slanging category which don’t count. Me expressing my opinion of your extreme piety.

  3. Welcome back, Edgar.

In other news, Donald Trump keeps on picking up centrist endorsements. I put more stock in these, than I do in the polls:

    David Ng29 Sep 2024

Actor Zachary Levi — who starred in the Shazam! movies — has endorsed former President Donald Trump, saying he believes Trump is the candidate who can successfully “take back this country.”

Zachary Levi moderated a panel of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard at a “Reclaim America” tour stop on Saturday in Dearborn, Michigan. The actor said he had endorsed RFK, Jr. earlier in the election cycle because the candidate embodied his own distrust of government and unscrupulous corporations.

“I stand with Bobby and I stand with everyone else who is standing with President Trump,” he said.

  4. Thanks Ted.

i didn’t recall the results of the last election.Bennett, yes of course. I’ve been counting him in my poll add-ups. BUT…he is such a liar and turncoat, can he be trusted. The foolishness of people who give him 43% over the PM.

Of course polls, shmolls……..11 And he was such a rotten PM when he had his chance, although a great asset to Lebanon. The chair is far too big for his backside.

  5. Today, Sa’ar has 4 members of his party. When added to the 64 that Bibi commands, we get a total of 68.

    The reconciliation is very important.
In the next election, there will be no New Hope, just Likud.
    I am good with that.
Now Bibi has to seek out Bennett to return to Likud. Bennett used to be his Chief of Staff. He is more right wing than Bibi.

  6. TED-

Yes Sa’ar’s Party may be 4 strong, meaning at least 4 people, but all the polls ahow he gets less than 0.3 %. So he has NO MKs..

How does this add up to 68 seats ??

  7. TED_

I am logged in -as my complaint in Chit-Chat shows. And I didn’t say I had a comment trashed or otherwise. I said I was blocked from getting to the subject we were discussing.

I found that when I keyed on The heading in the daily list of what’s being discussed, “The US wants Israel dead” etc, Your remark about Francisco Gil-White…. as usual to get to it, I scrolled down past all the books and etc until I got to the last one-by BenZimra.

Instead of then seeing the heading of our article and our posts, it refused to move further. Stuck there as it still is. even rebooted but NG.

Correction; just tried it now and it has been released, so your search must have corrected the jam.

I’m glad because I feel as if we’re all connected and was sorry to say “goodbye” . But I never say anything seriously that I don’t mean.

I’ll have to let my query drop as I see you will not answer it.

  8. Sa’ar heads a four-strong party, and thus his New Hope’s entry into the coalition raises it to 68 of the 120 Knesset members, solidifying Netanyahu’s governing majority.

  9. TED-

I’m not going to be the proverbial hamster inside the “exercise” wheel like the other Members.

I ‘m highly offended at my cavalier treatment, and insist on being unblocked. Otherwise L’hitraot and Shana Tova to all.

  10. The IDF confirmed on Sunday that during an extensive, intelligence-based aerial operation, dozens of IAF aircraft—including fighter jets, mid-air refueling aircraft, and intelligence aircraft struck military targets belonging to the Houthi terrorist rebels in the Ras Isa and Hudaydah areas of Yemen.

The targets included power plants and a seaport used to import oil, which was “used by the Houthi terrorist regime to transfer Iranian weapons to the region, in addition to military supplies and oil,” the IDF stated.

  11. TED-
Someone (?) is blocking me from responding to you. This is “NOT cricket”. as played by gentlemen……!!!!

AM I asking the unanswerable question????

I’ll wait gladly as I always have understood that tou cannot reveal info on untrasensitive matters……BUT, play “fair”. That’s all I ask.

  12. For whoever’s intereested, I’ve got a little over an hour of video with Avi Lipkin. He did aliyah around the time of the 1967 war, and had been in Yesh all during the past year. The video was recorded a few days ago, before Nasrallah got taken out. He’s talking with mostly American Christians, explaining the situation there as he goes. I enjoyed it.

  13. This post highlights a critical stance for Israel with the “Three Nos.” The refusal to accept a nuclear Iran, a two-state solution, or a bi-national state reflects serious concerns about security and national identity. Forums like PRP Dubai are essential for fostering dialogue around these pressing issues. It’ll be interesting to see how these discussions influence future policies!

  14. Hebrew news had the IDF spokesman on a few minutes ago. No official death yet. IDF leveled accurately 3 huge residential buildings that were cover for the underground Hezbollah bunker (Main Headquarters in Southern Beirut suburb of Dahiyah).

They believe the information that Nasarallah was there was accurate. If correct he is buried under tons of debris both from the buildings and destroyed bunkers.

It will be a while until anyone dead or in the unlikely event alive is brought to the surface. The IDF spokesman said he will inform everyone when there is any significant news.

  15. The UK has joined the US, France and a host of allies in calling for an immediate temporary ceasefire in Lebanon, warning the escalating violence between Israel and Hezbollah is “intolerable”.

In a joint statement, the 12-strong bloc calls for a 21-day ceasefire “to provide space for diplomacy towards the conclusion of a diplomatic settlement”, as well as a ceasefire in Gaza.

  16. “Teamsters Union Makes No Endorsement for President
A recent internal poll found more than half of Teamsters backing Trump over Harris.”

“Earlier on Sept. 18, the union released internal polling showing that more than half of its members favor former President Donald Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris. In a poll conducted from Sept. 9 to Sept. 15, 58 percent of members backed Trump, while 31 percent favored Harris.”

  17. While it’s intriguing to see Israel’s assertion about joining the Visa Waiver Program, it seems there’s a lot of nuance involved, especially with the US issuing a denial. This situation might feel complicated, much like the decision-making process for something as significant as Liposuction Dubai. Just as people carefully weigh their options for cosmetic procedures, governments too must navigate complex international relationships. It’ll be interesting to see how this develops!

  18. Israel’s stated goal in the north is to return its displaced citizens to their homes.

I hope their real goal is to destroy Hezollah and occupy southern Lebanon up t the Litani R.

  19. UN Plenum to Vote on Kicking Jews Out of Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria
    By Jewish News Syndicate (JNS) – 15 Elul 5784 – September 18, 2024

Israel should be “ceasing immediately all new settlement activity, evacuating all settlers from the Occupied Palestinian Territory,” reads the draft resolution, whose co-submitters included Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Turkey, Mauritania and Oman alongside Chile, Colombia, Nicaragua, North Korea, South Africa and Uganda and others.

Israel should withdraw recognition of Morrocan colonization of Western Sahara.

  20. Abedalelah Amaala spoke at my 2017 conference and last year on the Update.

He just tweeted on Sept 13

“The sunrise of the birth of the new Jordan is very close. Welcome and peace to the one Jordanian and Palestinian family to build the new Jordan. The new Jordan and the Kingdom of Israel together for the great heights.”

  21. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has determined that the two biggest counties in the state do not have to count mail-in ballots that have either the wrong date or no date where indicated on the outer envelope.

That’s an odd way to put it. It should have said “Can’t” rather than “do not have to”

    Here’s the link

The headline is “PA Supreme Court rules that misdated ballots must not be counted”

  22. Russia has motheunted a counter offensive in Kursk which is said to have taken as much as 10Km just on Tuesday. The counter offensive has been ongoing for the past 3 days

  23. Channel 13 reports tonight that the US administration “opposes the dismissal of Defense Minister Yoav Galant”, and that “the American aircraft carriers will not be able to stay in the area forever.” Additionally, the US is considering a possible deal with Hamas to release American hostages to try to put more pressure on Bibi.

  24. Peloni,

You asked, so here’s your answer:

    https://youtu.be/k1ygF3epATI

You’ve been trumpeting an imaginary Russian victory for two years now, which somethow never manages to trickle down to reality. Why don’t you just admit you’ve been very wrong for a long time, and give it up.

  25. What is going on in Ukraine? Zel is conducting his own Saturday night Massacre with multiple dismissals amid on of the most challenging moments in the Ukraine war, and among the ministers in the massacre was none other than the Defense Minister who is said to be being replaced with a former member of the original peace negotiating team from Istanbul some six weeks into the war. It is said that the cause of the mass terminations/resignations is due to “new approaches being necessary”….So tell me how well things are going in Kursk one more time, please…anyone?

On the eve of the school year opening in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, a disturbing scene was discovered at the ‘Simcha Chabad’ Jewish school.

Security personnel discovered fragments that had fallen in the school complex and the community center nearby, following a night of heavy bombardment in the city.

Rabbi Mordechai Levenhertz, Chabad emissary in Kyiv, described the situation as a “great miracle.” He emphasized the critical timing of the event, which occurred moments before hundreds of students arrived at the school. “One cannot imagine what could have happened if this had occurred two hours later,” said Rabbi Levenhertz.

Despite the troubling event, around 200 students started the school year in the school and kindergartens. This is the 33rd cycle of the veteran educational institution, taking place under the shadow of two and a half years of ongoing fighting in Ukraine.

It is surprising to note that most parents chose to bring their children for the first day of school despite the previous night’s events. Officials from the JRNU Jewish educational network explained that “after two and a half years of unbearable explosions, the start of the school year conveys calmness and stability.”

The event in Kyiv is part of a broader picture. Across Ukraine, the school year opened in dozens of schools of the ‘Or Avner – Chabad’ network, where thousands of students study. During the war period, shelters and protected spaces were installed in all institutions, and students were trained to respond quickly to alarms.

During the past summer, many students participated in camps and summer camps that provided them with a brief respite from the complex reality in the country.

“This event highlights the challenging reality in which the Jewish education system in Ukraine operates, while trying to maintain a routine of studies under ongoing security threats,” said the local Chabad.

Yes, the demonstrators are killing their loved ones. If those demonstrators were guided by wisdom, they instead would be marching with signs reading “Flatten Gaza,” “Nuke Hamas,” “Victory,” “No Ceasefire,” and “Make Sinwar into a Real Woman.” Opinion.

In today’s Arutz Sheva. Doesn’t give you a link to the article if it’s the same day. Well balanced and spot on article. One section is hilarious, as well. First rate satire.

“They project their own craziness onto him. They assume illogical motives and convince each other. Their most popular projection: Bibi is wantonly extending the timeline of the Gaza war, causing hostage deaths, solely to avoid being put on trial, and he is adding Hezbollah in Lebanon and Fatah and Hamas in Jenin and Tul Karm, all to delay going on trial.

‘In a way, their concern has a strong basis in American history. They can point to how George Washington could have won the American Revolution against England in one month but dragged it out for years to avoid being tried for receiving cigars and champagne. Abraham Lincoln could have won the Civil War in a month but instead dragged it out for nearly five years from 1861-1865 because he wanted to avoid being indicted for receiving cigars and champagne, and he would not let it wind down until he was safely within a month of getting assassinated, thereby avoiding prosecution. Franklin Roosevelt could have won World War II in three weeks but dragged it on almost four years from December 7, 1941 until, upon dying in April 1945, he finally was safe from being indicted for accepting cigars and champagne. With FDR safe from cigar-champagne prosecution, Truman dropped the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs four months later — all finished. So there is ample history behind the Left’s conspiracy theory.”

    😀

  29. For every hostage who dies, 100 terrorists should be executed in their cells promptly. But, the left wing court an Attorney General won’t allow this, which is why they should be stripped of their powers.

  30. One of six hostage bodies recovered was an American cititizen. It is being reported that they were all murdered just shortly before the IDF recovered their remains.

  31. On the other hand, I’m also reminded of the lines, “You guys got cheated. This is a pretty crummy cigar.” (Cuba)
“That’s ok, we sell pretty them crummy rockets.” from “One Two Three”. Billy Wilder, I.A.L. Diamond adapted from the one act play by Ferenc Molnar. 1961, one year before the Cuban missile crisis.

  32. This marks a shift from the IDF Ground Forces’ recent preference for Chinese drones. The IDF ordered thousands of drones from SZ DJI Technology and Autel Robotics, two Chinese companies blacklisted by the U.S. Department of Defense, due to urgent needs in the current Gaza conflict. However, this dependence on Chinese drones poses security risks and could be problematic if China, an ally of Iran, Russia, Qatar and Hamas, decides to restrict component sales.

Chinese drones also face operational challenges on Israel’s northern front, where Hezbollah uses the DJI AeroScope detection platform to identify and locate them. Recognizing these issues, the IDF aims to support the Israeli drone industry for long-term strategic advantage.

    https://www.jewishpress.com/news/business-economy/israel-shifts-gears-20000-homegrown-drones-on-the-horizon/2024/08/31/

This just floored me. So, China is buying Iran’s oil and selling drones to Israel while Iran is selling drones to Russia which sells weapons to Syria. Politically, of course, China supports all of Israel’s enemies, as do the other two.

“All’s fair in war and trade?” 😀

  33. @Michael You said open primaries led to Democrat dominance even though the voting population was evenly split.
