Coalition chairman: We will never accept establishment of a Palestinian state

MK Miki Zohar says ‘Deal of the Century’ can serve as a basis for negotiations, does not require Israel to accept Palestinian state

T. Belman. I agree..  The Plan is a vision only and our obligation is to agree to negotiate the Plan in good faith. Everything is negotiable except for the pre-conditions laid down by Trump requiring the PA to become Canada. The Palestinians have to actually satisfy these conditions and not just agree to do them.

Coalition chairman MK Miki Zohar wrote a post on his Facebook page Tuesday entitled: ‘We will never recognize a Palestinian state.’

“During the Likud faction meeting yesterday, my colleagues and I discussed in-depth President Trump’s Deal of the Century, and I want to share some important insights with you,” Zohar began.

“The Prime Minister has unequivocally announced that neither the Knesset nor the government would ever agree to the establishment of a Palestinian state under any conditions,” he said.

“The Deal of the Century will not be accepted or brought before the Knesset. It can serve as the basis for negotiations, but it does not require us to accept a Palestinian state,” Zohar explained.

“I believe there is a majority in the Knesset for the application of sovereignty under the plan’s framework: applying sovereignty over all localities in Judea and Samaria and the Jordan Valley, as well as all outposts so not a single Jew will be evacuated from his home. The sequence of the application of the State of Israel’s sovereignty in Judea and Samaria will be done in such a manner as to minimize the suffering and to maintain the optimal conditions of the settlers living there. This is a historic plan and a one-time opportunity to apply sovereignty over the entire territory of the Land of Israel,” Zohar concluded.

  1. @ Zachary:
“The U.N. is not authorized” to divide the Jewish land.
Then what did they do in 1947 (Resolution 181) when they designed one (Jewish) of two states as “three sausages” on the remaining 32% of the mandate that the British hadn’t already taken and given to the Arabs?
Which is similar to what this “plan” is trying to achieve.

  2. Shame on Israel for not immediately declaring sovereignty over the land that was liberated in 1967. It should have been done then. The lives of many Jewish terror victims would have been saved, and others as well. Why do you need anybody’s permission? It’s all Eretz Israel, so, do it already!

Unfortunately, the 53 year delay created significant complications. President Trump has, in effect, said to Israel, “While I’m in office, the United States will run interference for you, so that you can consolidate land for your settlers, and land for your security needs. Yes, I know that the palestinians will still occupy some of the land, but ‘it is what it is’. This is the best deal that we can cut for you. You should take it. It’s a limited-time offer, however, because when I’m gone, (which
could be soon), so’s the deal. After that, you’ll be lucky to hold on to what you have now. Don’t be chumps. Take the deal.”

  3. The U.N. is not authorized by its own charter Article 80 to divide the land given to Israel under the League of Nations Mandate. It would be illegal. @ Reader:

  4. Some of the settlers are really simply complicating matters. Israel does not and will not agree to a PAL State. So what is going on stepping on one’s own toes by simply not saving yes to sovereignty.

One of the PA officials thanked the settlers for making his job easier “in fighting annexation”.

  5. “This is a historic plan and a one-time opportunity to apply sovereignty over the entire territory of the Land of Israel,” Zohar concluded.”
So, Zohar acknowledges that the current borders plus 30% of Judea and Samaria is the ENTIRE land of Israel?
And the rest of it the “Palestinians” are free to do with as they please (forget the “conditions”) “but we will never accept it”?
    A slip of the tongue?

  6. What makes anybody think that Israel’s agreement or acceptance will be necessary?
If someone gets raped, does the rapist ask for acceptance beforehand?
“Palestine” is already acknowledged as a state by 132 countries and is represented (albeit not fully) in the UN.
All it needs is a trigger for a UN vote to establish it as a state on as much Jewish (“disputed”) land as possible with a capital in East Jerusalem and foreign “peacekeepers” stationed on the borders.
This will cause massive expulsion of the Jews and, possibly, another war after the economy has been severely weakened by the false alarm of the virus.
The Arabs have been establishing facts on the ground for the last 15-20 years by building with impunity (financed by the EU) while the Jews were trying to be good boys and girls by freezing their settlement construction, and now they are about to dive head first into another one-sided 4-year construction freeze.
Don’t they care about aliyah anymore?
It is forbidden even to negotiate about giving away Jewish land.
