Cornucopia of reasons why voters should not vote for Mamdani

Peloni:  The Left continues to push this fusion Marxist Islamist candidate into the seat of power in the largest city in America, while overseeing the largest community of Jews in America.  The reason that this is even a possibilty is due tot the fact that America was betrayed at the highest level of power while American and NYC were flooded with non-Americans with values, views and objectives which were entirely not of America.  This contest in NYC stands as a contest demonstrating if this betrayal will succeed in bearing significant fruit.  Certainly, Mamdani believes his position in this race was bulletproof, as he openly cavorted with terror supporters, who actually supported terror in the very city he is running for mayor.  Hence, we will soon see if Mamdani’s confidence was warranted or if it was a bridge too far taken, which rallied the pluck and independence of the common New Yorkers against such demonstrations of insanity, but my own suspicion is that Mamdani will soon be defeated.  Below are a half dozen reports which explain the basis of my beliefs, such as they are.

JEALOUS of what Londoners have been experiencing for 3 terms under its sharia-compliant, leftist Muslim Mayor, Sadiq Khan, New Yorkers have nominated an even bigger Jew-hating, America-hating, anti-capitalism, radical Muslim candidate for NYC Mayor – Zohran Mamdani

  1. There is a very interesting article about Karl Lueger in today’s Arutz Sheva.

What worries me most about Mamdani
The New York City mayoral candidate and his followers treat hostility to Israel as a badge of moral enlightenment. Karl Lueger did the same in Vienna at the turn of the 20th century – and we know how that turned out. Opinion.

which prompted this AI query from me (I just typed the question in the address bar): Did Karl Lueger have Jewish supporters. The answer was one I am quite familiar with in the present.

“Karl Lueger did have some individual Jewish acquaintances and even a few who supported his municipal reforms, but he did not have widespread support from the Jewish community, as he was a prominent anti-Semite who used anti-Jewish rhetoric as a central part of his political platform.
    Key details:
“I decide who is a Jew”: Lueger is famous for his response when asked about the fact that many of his friends were Jewish: “I decide who is a Jew”. This indicated that his anti-Semitism was a flexible, political tool (known as “homespun” or gemütlich anti-Semitism), rather than a rigid, racial ideology like that which the Nazis later adopted, but it was a key part of his political identity and appeal to his base.
Political Anti-Semitism: Lueger was the founder of the Christian Social Party, which was rooted in anti-liberalism, Catholicism, and explicit anti-Semitism. His campaigns consistently featured anti-Jewish rabble-rousing, including calls for boycotts of Jewish businesses.
Jewish Community Opposition: The general Jewish community in Vienna strongly opposed Lueger and his party. Jewish groups and left-wing parties later welcomed the decision to rename a street that had been named after him, while far-right parties condemned it.
Influence on Hitler: Adolf Hitler, who lived in Vienna during Lueger’s time as mayor, admired Lueger’s ability to use anti-Semitism to gain popular support and considered him “the greatest German mayor of all times”.
“Rhetorics and Realities”: Historical research has explored the “rhetorics and realities” of Lueger’s relationship with Viennese Jews, noting that while his rhetoric was severe and contributed to a climate of prejudice, the political dimension of his anti-Semitism (targeting the liberal press and “Jewish capital”) was distinct from the later, genocidal racial anti-Semitism of the Nazis.
In essence, while a few individual Jews might have had a personal or a professional relationship with Lueger, the vast majority of the Jewish population and their community representatives were targets of his political agitation and firmly opposed him.” AI Overview

I’m a little dismayed that there is no real reaction from the White House.

Trump thinks the race is hopeless, and he won’t have his credibility damaged by backing a candidate he thinks will lose.

      • @peloni
You’re probably right. I guess the republican candidate isn’t worth the trouble. Nonetheless, his beloved NYC is about to be lost forever. Maybe the UN can improve the situation a little for their own benefit, but don’t count on it. Indeed, that might also be a reason for his lethargy. They get what they asked for.

        • @dreuveni
Well, that is what Trump believes. I disagree with him. I believe that the American people have the pluck and tenacity to prove expectations in this election are wrong. But we will see.
