@ Laura: It is disgusting that the congressman and other politicians believe a group of immigrants should be allowed to disregard the US Constitution and impose a foreign set of laws contrary to American legal heritage. Most amazing, US Supreme Court Justices have gone public speaking of using “International Law” in their deliberations rather than the “archaic” US Constitution. This is TREASON!

Why is a United States Congressman, sworn to uphold the American constitution, defending sharia law?
Why would any loyal American or, indeed, Canadian or any other democratic country’s national want to permit a law that is so contrary to our hard earned laws that protect all of our citizens equally?
Unless, of course, he is a closet Muslim. Methinks there are too many stuffed closets in the US and many other countries.
