Peloni: Sima Shine, former head of research and evaluation at Mossad and Iran expert at Israel’s Institute for National Security Studies, provides an important context for the lack of credibility surrounding the report that Ahmadinejad was an Israeli intelligence asset. Note further that Ahmadinejad turned up at a memorial service for Khamenei yesterday. As I noted before, there is a disinfo opp taking place here, the only question is whose disinfo opp it is. In any event, Shine provides further analysis on the issue of the Israeli plan to overthrow the regime, but more than this, she speaks to the recognition that devleoped in the aftermath of the 12 Day War that the real target in a war with Iran needs to be not the nuclear program, but the regime itself. She also addresses the Israeli polls and the coming election among other matters.
