Iranian-affiliated terror group HAYI claims responsibility for London stabbing attack

Peloni:  The freedom with which Jew Hatred is promoted in England while the govt remains mute leaves little doubt that this latest attack on Englands Jews will be met with nothing more than additional platitudes and fake promises.  The words “Never Again” when spoken by English officials holds no truth, and is in fact an empty cat-call which promises this event will no more serve as a wake-up call to the British govt than the last attack on Britain’s Jews.

The Iranian-affiliated terror group Harakat Ashab Al-Yamim Al-Islamiyya (HAYI) has claimed responsibility for the stabbing attack in Golders Green, London, in which two Jewish men were injured Wednesday, after taking responsibility for numerous attacks on Jewish and Israeli targets across Europe in recent weeks.

While no group initially took responsibility for the stabbings, after several hours, a Telegram channel associated with HAYI published a video statement claiming the attacker was a “lone wolf” affiliated with it.

On Thursday, Israel’s Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism released a statement saying that “had been warning for weeks” about the HAYI terrorist organization, with little response from European authorities.

“Yesterday [April 29], the organization claimed responsibility for a stabbing attack in London, yet another incident in a series of attacks against Jewish targets across Europe,” the ministry said.

It noted that HAYI “is operated by Iran and forms part of its militias,” while calling on European authorities to provide “an immediate and severe response.”

Minister of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism, Amichai Chikli said, “The handwriting is on the wall, written in blood. We have warned in recent weeks that this is an emerging organization with characteristics of decentralized terrorism, and today we see the realization of this threat in the heart of London. The British government must wake up, do much more, and ensure the security of the Jewish communities.”

“Yesterday’s attack follows persistent warnings from the Ministry regarding the establishment of this new organization,” the statement by Diaspora Ministry continued.

It also noted that the group operates in a non-localized model, relying on a combination of online propaganda and Iranian-linked networks to foment attacks.

“Officials have highlighted a coordinated pattern of operation that combines online propaganda, the mobilization of local operatives, and distribution infrastructures linked to pro-Iranian militant networks,” it stated.

The stabbing attack took place in a predominantly Jewish neighborhood, and only Jews were attacked, indicating that the attacker was acting on antisemitic, terror motivations.

“Yesterday’s incident occurs after the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs has continuously warned about the establishment of this new organization in European countries such as Belgium, the Netherlands, and the UK,” the ministry continued.

Referencing the series of attacks on Jewish institutions on the European mainland, the ministry said it had warned European authorities “that this is a decentralized operational model of “field cells” acting under inspiration or remote guidance, attempting to create an effect of fear and psychological warfare against Jewish communities.”

The ministry cited an analysis conducted by the National Control Center for Combating Antisemitism, which showed that stabbing attack in London fit the “operational characteristics” of the previous attacks: A targeted action via a local operative, the dissemination of documentation and propaganda on digital channels shortly after the event, and an attempt to generate broad public resonance to establish a narrative of “continuous operational capability” in Europe.

It asked European countries to increase intelligence cooperation and enforcement against terrorist infrastructure in both the digital and real-world spheres, ahead of further attempts.

The Ministry of Diaspora Affairs also said the attack “comes against the backdrop of a significant escalation in antisemitism in the UK,” noting that “approximately 6.37 million antisemitic posts related to the UK were published on X (formerly Twitter)” between April, 27, 2025 and April 27, 2026. This increase in antisemitic social media content has been matched by a rise in antisemitic attacks, the ministry claimed.

British historian Tom Holland also connected the rise of antisemitic imagery and slogans in the public to the rise in violence against Jews in the United Kingdom in a post to ?.

Saying the latest attack in Golders Green joins a “chain of events” which “illustrates the transition from large-scale antisemitic discourse to actual violence on the streets,” the ministry called for “an immediate and coordinated response from the authorities in the UK and throughout Europe.”

A protest in London on Wednesday morning called out the lack of action by the British government in tackling Jew hatred and antisemitic violence.

A group of people waving both British and Israeli flags chanted slogans against British authorities, such as “Keir Starmer, Jew harmer,” and “shame on Sadiq Khan.” The protesters also pointed out the UK government’s failure to list the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terror organization, chanting, “IRGC terrorists, UK put them on the list.”

In a statement posted on X, the Foreign Ministry also highlighted the lack of action by the UK government, writing, “Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s statements are no substitute
