Israel can’t count on America

By Ted Belman

America today is the same America that:

1. Stopped Jewish immigration in the twenties.

2. Turned anti-Semitic in the depression

3. Allowed its citizens to finance the Nazi war machine.

4. Banned Jewish refugees from entering the US during the Holocaust.

5. Refused to bomb the railways transporting Jews to extermination centers.

6. Refused to bomb the extermination camps.

Refused entry of a boatload of Jewish children during the holocaust
7. Was against the creation of Israel. Fortunately countermanded by Pres Truman.

– 1951 Kermit Roosevelt, the CIA’s operations chief in the Middle East set up a fake anti-Israel lobby in Washington called American Friends of the Middle East. Its job was to weaken popular support for the Jewish state.

8. Placed an arms embargo on Israel after its creation which lasted until after the Six day War.

9. Forced Israel to withdraw from the Sinai after it conquered it in 1956.

11. Ordered Israel to wait to be attacked before the ’73 war which wasted precious hours.

10. Refused to resupply the IDF in the ‘73 war in the early days when it was sorely needed.

11. Prevented Israel from delivering the coup de gras in that war.

12. Sided with Egypt in demanding Israel retreat from every inch of the Sinai.

13. Forced Israel to put Jerusalem on the table in the Madrid Peace Conferance

– violated a plea bargain with Jonathan Pollard and incarcerated him for close to 30 years which is grossly unprecedented for similar crimes.

14. Was against Israel bombing the Osirak reactor in Iraq.

15. Ordered Israel not to attack Iraq in the Gulf War in ’91 even if attacked.

16 Demanded full withdrawal by Israel from all territories contrary to UNSC Res 242

17. Demanded Israel dismantle some settlements and stop building them.

18. Has called the settlements “illegitimate” since 1980

19. Supported the creation of a Palestinian state. (Bush vision speech)

20. Demanded that we not totally defeat Hamas in the first war against them (2009)

21. Supports Auschwitz borders.

22. Demanded Israel refrain from attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities.

23. Embraced the Muslim Brother and now Iran,  both of which call for the eradication of Israel.

Don’t count on America.

  1. Confused Israelis???????

The findings come from the latest Tel Aviv University-Israel Democracy Institute Peace Index, a monthly survey of Israeli public opinion.

Fully 77% of Israelis say the nuclear agreement between Western powers and Iran will not end the Islamic Republic’s drive for nuclear weapons. Just 18% said they think it will.

At the same time, Israelis overwhelmingly welcome the alliance with the US.

The survey asked bluntly: “Since 1967 the United States has been considered Israel’s most loyal and important ally. Do you think it still is?”

Israelis overwhelmingly said yes, with 71% saying they are “sure” (29%) or “think” (42%) it is. Just 26% said America is no longer Israel’s best ally.

Asked if Israel needs to “find other loyal allies and reduce its dependence on the United States,” 46% of respondents said it does not, while 48% said it does.

But even some Israelis who believe Israel should have additional allies are skeptical Israel could find them. More than two-thirds, or 69%, said it stood only a “moderately low” (33%) or “very low” (36%) chance of doing so.

The result: Most Israelis say the country is at least moderately dependent on US “military, political and economic assistance.”

Almost one-third of Israelis (30%) said it was “totally” dependent, while half (51%) said it was “moderately” dependent. Just 16% said Israel was “almost not” or “not” dependent.

when it asked Israelis to rate Netanyahu’s performance in dealing with the Iran issue.

Asked to rank the prime minister’s handling of the issue on a scale from zero to 10, a huge majority, 63% gave Netanyahu a 6 or higher rating, compared to just 31% who gave him a 5 or below. The figure was higher among Jews, at 67%, but fully 43% of Arabs also gave Netanyahu a positive six-and-above rating.

  4. Report: Mossad seeks proof of Iran breach of nuclear deal

British Sunday Times says Netanyahu ordered Israeli intelligence to find proof of Iran breaking recently-signed deal. ‘If smoking gun is produced, it will tumble like house of cards’, says Israeli intel source

Israeli intelligence is seeking proof of Iran violating the interim nuclear deal that was struck last week in Geneva with the world powers, the British Sunday Times reported on Sunday. According to the report, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed Israeli intelligence and Mossad chiefs to seek evidence of Iranian sabotage aimed at bypassing international sanctions and bans, prior to the signing of the accord.

An Israeli intelligence source told the British paper that “Everyone has his own view regarding the Geneva agreement, but it is clear that if a smoking gun is produced, it will tumble like a house of cards.”

  5. Olmert slams PM: We have declared war on US

In special conference on Geneva agreement, former-PM Olmert slams Netanyahu over his public reaction to the nuclear deal with Iran, asking rhetorically ‘Who will be our savior Obama or Putin?’ Former-MI chief says deal bad, but stress fact it is preliminary

Former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert addressed the Geneva agreement between world powers and Iran, and slammed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who according to him has declared war on the American administration

“We have declared war on the US… Will the savior in the Iranian matter be Putin, or Obama?” the former prime minister rhetorically asked, adding “We need to go against the American president? To ask questions, to argue, in closed door decisions, of course,” hinting critisim at Netanyahu’s public statements in regards to the Iranian deal.

George Will Supports Obama’s deal. If he is the ‘voice of American conservatives’, we have nothing positive to expect from America…

My worry is about Nuke proliferation more than I fear Iran.

This is the first I’ve ever heard of this but after reading Ted’s detailed list of US ‘attacks’ against Jews and Israel, I’m not surprised.

Read the original document for yourself “Critical Incident no. 14”

Unfortunately Ted’s list is only partial and incomplete. Not only did America abandon Israel in 1948, it planned to fight Israel on behalf of Egypt in 1956 and 1967. America gives Arabs more aid than Israel and supports immensely brutal Arab regimes, but is only sensitive to supposed Israeli transgressions. America arms Israel’s enemies, rejects moving its embassy to Jerusalem, and always has imposed on Israel impossible terms of ceasefire. American allies among Arabs boycott Israel. Those same American allies support anti-Israel terrorists and prepare their armies for wars against Israel.

The American invasion of Iraq was contrary to Israeli interests. No analyst in Israel supported the American war with Iraq or believed it would produce a stable, friendly government. America supplies massive quantities of advanced weapons to Israel’s Arab enemies, and does nothing to end the boycott of Israel by America’s Arab allies. The US did not prevent Pakistan from obtaining nuclear weapons, even though Wahhabist Pakistan is the largest existential threat to Israel, and are as likely to supply nuclear weapons to anti-Israeli terrorists. Saudi Arabia, America’s close ally, financed Pakistan’s nuclear program. If the US is somewhat opposed to the Iranian nuclear program, it’s because it threatens Saudi Arabia. The American defense of Kuwait proved that the US will go to great lengths for the benefit of its oil-rich clients; America never contemplated defending Israel even in dire situations.

Defending the petty sheikhdom of Kuwait with direct military invasion, but pushing Israel to abandon Judea and Jerusalem to the Arabs—that is American Middle East policy.

  9. U.S. had emergency plan for attacking Israel in 1967
Plan was aimed at preventing Israel from expanding westward, into Sinai, or eastward, into the West Bank.

    The right to strike

A declassified study reveals that the U.S. had plans to attack Israel, and began to dust them off in May 1967. But organizational foot-dragging and the IDF’s prowess in Sinai spurred the general in charge of the U.S. Strike Command to put them back in the drawer.

The end of the story is known: During the Six-Day War, no battles were waged between the Israel Defense Forces and the United States. True, the American spy ship “Liberty” was attacked by mistake, but neither side initiated exchanges of fire. What is not known – and because of it, the story is riveting nevertheless – took place in the background. For some time, the United States had had an emergency plan to attack Israel. In May 1967, one of the U.S. commands was charged with the task of removing the plan from the safe, refreshing it and preparing for an order to go into action. However, the preparations lagged behind the developments in the diplomatic arena, and even further behind the successes of Israel’s air force and armored divisions in Sinai. The general who was planning to attack Israel made do with extricating frightened American citizens and a panic-stricken ambassador from Jordan.

This unknown aspect of the war was revealed in what was originally a top-secret study conducted by the Institute for Defense Analyses in Washington. In February 1968, an institute expert, L. Weinstein, wrote an article called “Critical Incident No. 14,” about the U.S. involvement in the Middle East crisis of May-June 1967. Only 30 copies of his study were printed for distribution. Years later the material was declassified and can now be read by everyone, although details that are liable to give away sources’ identities and operational ideas have remained censored.

  10. And our esteemed Jewish leaders still fear to ever speak the truth in public about the treachery of U.S. officials. And despite the divine miracle of Israel’s rebirth and its thriving, despite all the treachery by so many nations, the Jewish leadership in Israel and the U.S. remains mostly stupid, cowardly and blindly oblivious to divine intervention. I fear that without further divine intervention our Jewish leaders remain on a suicide mission of endless cowardice and appeasement and all this in direct violation of the teaching of the Torah.

Christianity sounds like a great idea; it’s a pity it hasn’t been tried.
