Make Gaza the Israeli Riviera of the Middle East

[I suggested that the West should not rebuild Gaza but instead use the money to resettle the Gazans elsewhere. We could contribute to that. But no one has put this issue on the table. Too bad.]

By Moshe Feiglin Aug-27-2014

The collapse of support for PM Netanyahu (from 82% during the ground incursion in Gaza to 38% today) was to be expected. The job of every state and head of state is to provide his/her citizens with security. If the security of the citizens is compromised, the leadership loses support.

All those disappointed people, however, must understand the dynamics of their worsening security situation. If you would ask them if they believe that there is no choice but for Israel to annex Gaza and turn it into an Israeli city, like Jaffa, most would look at you as if you were hallucinating. So although there is definitely a problem with our leadership, the public is looking in the wrong place for a solution.

Since Oslo, most Israelis believe that the Oslo two-state solution will alleviate Israel’s security problems. But the Oslo mentality is the root of the problem. The public cannot expect Netanyahu to conjure up a solution from within this faulty consciousness.

I am completely opposed to an Israeli invasion of Gaza if it is only to retreat once again or to rule colonial-style over the Arab population. I am opposed to any temporary solution that will endanger our soldiers.

Israel must conquer Gaza and help its residents to emigrate. Their other option would be to live there with a solid Jewish majority. Gaza must become a thriving Israeli city – the Riviera of the Middle East – with modern tourism, high-tech and all the amenities of a modern city. This is the only realistic solution.

There are 4 elements to my plan:

Israel must recognize that this is our land, not theirs – Gaza included. No more talk of the Oslo two-state solution. One state for one People.

The IDF must conquer Gaza according to all the Western military doctrines.

Encourage and provide aid for Arab emigration. Instead of the nearly trillion shekels that Israel has invested to date in the Oslo two-state solution, we can invest in an emigration basket to allow the Gazans to relocate with financial security. Financially secure immigrants are welcomed in most countries.

Encourage aliyah to Israel and Jewish settlement in Gaza. Within the next decade, we will be seeing 1.5 new Jewish immigrants to Israel. Our demographic situation is excellent. Encourage veteran Israelis and new immigrants to make their homes in Gaza and make it flourish.

This is the only pragmatic, realistic solution on the horizon. To accomplish it, we need leadership that believes that this is our Land.

How many lives were lost to defeat Syria;s onslaught and retain the Golan? Many lives, as the Kahalani brothers reported. They were valiant commanders of tank battalions during the war. Kahalani was slowly blocked out from the highest positions ever after.
But then again, since when thousands of deaths and maimed for life soldiers and civilians are of any importance to the unJews that control the monstrous, criminal farce passing as leadership here?
71 people were killed during the Gaza War just now. And what did Netanyahu, Ya’alon and Gantz by themselves did? INTENTIONALLY defeated the IDF to save HAMAS.
Netanyahu and Ya’alon in one breath just now declared VICTORY against HAMAS and said in the same statement that the did not want to defeat HAMAS!!!!! to prevent another Falluja.
The same type of garbage at different times did exactly the same “against” Hezbollah in Lebanon II, etc. Even in 1973 Golda-Dayan seeded the incipient “conceptziah” when she did not act against the gathering storm in Sinai and the Golan, etc. Thousands were massacred as a result.
Just as much, Netanyahu intentionally waives in Iran to become a nuclear power and will not do a thing either.

  4. Unbelievable. Another defeatist ideology – give away the Golan, and for what , toilet paper promises. Israel would not be in the Golan if Syria did not initiate attacks. AND the Golan, if I am not mistaken, was once part of historical Israel. AND how many Israeli lives were given to obtain and hold this strip of land, to protect Israel. What would be the consequences if, by some chance, Syria got the Golan and changed its mind re peace.

I note the article you cited by Sever PLocker contained no citations or support for facts or others opinins. Ascribing facts based on the words of others begs citation. Here is an article whereby Sever Plocker brings his facts and opinions into question.

    [Sever stated]
“Three times in the past three years I wrote articles in favor of a peace treaty between Israel and Syria. I wrote, based on numerous conversations with senior security officials, that Israel can achieve peace with Assad’s regime in exchange for willingness to withdraw from the Golan Heights, whose security significance has become dubious, if not wholly non-existent.”

When it comes to anonymous quotes appearing in the Israeli press, the foreign press corps more frequently cites Haaretz (sometimes with peril). But the Jerusalem Post, Yediot, and the main TV and radio stations are all players.

Now that the Syrian uprising has Plocker – and more importantly, the security establishment – rethinking their views, would it not make sense for Big Media to reflect something on that shift?

Or does the mainstream media only take interest in Israeli columnists who match its own outlook?

This is a one-sided article. The Cheka was created to fight anti-Semitic monarchists and counter-revolutionaries.
During the Russian Revolution, anti-communism was synonymous with anti-Semitism so of course many people who were racially Jewish supported the Bolsheviks because it was a matter of life or death.
    Lenin publicly condemned anti-Semitism.
    In March 1919 Lenin said:

“Anti-Semitism means spreading enmity towards the Jews. When the accursed tsarist monarchy was living its last days it tried to incite ignorant workers and peasants against the Jews. The tsarist police, in alliance with the landowners and the capitalists, organised pogroms against the Jews. The landowners and capitalists tried to divert the hatred of the workers and peasants who were tortured by want against the Jews. In other countries, too, we often see the capitalists fomenting hatred against the Jews in order to blind the workers, to divert their attention from the real enemy of the working people, capital. Hatred towards the Jews persists only in those countries where slavery to the landowners and capitalists has created abysmal ignorance among the workers and peasants. Only the most ignorant and downtrodden people can believe the lies and slander that are spread about the Jews. This is a survival of ancient feudal times, when the priests burned heretics at the stake, when the peasants lived in slavery, and when the people were crushed and inarticulate. This ancient, feudal ignorance is passing away; the eyes of the people are being opened.

It is not the Jews who are the enemies of the working people. The enemies of the workers are the capitalists of all countries. Among the Jews there are working people, and they form the majority. They are our brothers, who, like us, are oppressed by capital; they are our comrades in the struggle for socialism. Among the Jews there are kulaks, exploiters and capitalists, just as there are among the Russians, and among people of all nations. The capitalists strive to sow and foment hatred between workers of different faiths, different nations and different races. Those who do not work are kept in power by the power and strength of capital. Rich Jews, like rich Russians, and the rich in all countries, are in alliance to oppress, crush, rob and disunite the workers.

Shame on accursed tsarism which tortured and persecuted the Jews. Shame on those who foment hatred towards the Jews, who foment hatred towards other nations.

Long live the fraternal trust and fighting alliance of the workers of all nations in the struggle to overthrow capital.”
The Cheka delivered justice to the people who were committing pogroms against Jews so of course many Jews would support the Cheka.

Reading back the Stalinist purges and NKVD terror to the Bolshevik Revolution of Lenin and Trotsky is an old tactic that is frequently used by both anti-communists and anti-Semites.

Shame on the author of this article!.

massacre of revenge in 614 AD

The Sasanian Empire conquered Jerusalem after a brief siege in 614, during the Byzantine–Sasanian War of 602–628. The Persian Shah Khosrau II appointed his general Shahrbaraz to conquer the Byzantine controlled areas of the Near East. Following the victory in Antioch, Shahrbaraz conquered Caesarea Maritima, the administrative capital of the province. By this time the grand inner harbor had silted up and was useless. However the Emperor Anastasius had completed a reconstruction of the outer harbor, consequently Caesarea was an important maritime city, providing the Persian Empire with access to the Mediterranean Sea. The Sasanian Persians were joined by Nehemiah ben Hushiel and Benjamin of Tiberias (a man of immense wealth), who enlisted and armed Jewish soldiers from Tiberias, Nazareth and the mountain cities of Galilee, and together with a band of Arabs and additional Jews from southern parts of the country they marched on Jerusalem. Some 20,000 Jewish rebels joined the war against the Byzantine Christians.[7] Depending on the chronicler figures of either 20,000 or 26,000 are given. The Persian army reinforced by Jewish forces lead by Nehemiah ben Hushiel and Benjamin of Tiberias would captureJerusalemwithoutresistance.

Jews and Samaritans were persecuted frequently by the Byzantines resulting in numerous revolts. Byzantine religious propaganda developed strong anti-Jewish elements. In several cases Jews tried to help support the Sasanian advance. A pogrom in Antioch in 608 would lead to a Jewish revolt in 610 which was crushed. Jews also revolted in both Tyre and Acre in 610. The Jews of Tyre were massacred in reprisal. Following the unopposed capture of Jerusalem, control of the city was handed to Nehemiah ben Hushiel and Benjamin of Tiberias. Nehemiah was then appointed the ruler of Jerusalem. He began making arrangements for the building of the Third Temple, and sorting out genealogies to establish a new High Priesthood. After only a few months a Christian revolt occurred. Nehemiah ben Hushiel and his “council of the righteous” were killed along with many other Jews, some throwing themselves off the city walls.

Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray

“Moshe Rabbeinu (moses) was commanded from the mouth of the Al-mighty to force all the inhabitants of the earth to accept the commandments that were commanded upon the descendants of Noah.”

(Rambam, Mishneh Torah, Laws of Kings 8:10)

A Gentile who accepts the Seven Commandments and observes them scrupulously is a “righteous Gentile” and will have a portion in the world to come.” (Laws of Kings 8:10-11)

… as the Rambam brings at the end of the Laws of Kings that Moshiach:

“… prevails upon Israel to walk in the ways of the Torah and repair its breaches, and fights the battles of the L-rd … rebuilds the Sanctuary on its site and gathers the dispersed by Israel…. He will prepare the whole world to serve the L-rd with one accord, as it is written: “For then will I turn to the peoples a pure language, that they may all call upon the Name of the L-rd , to serve Him with one consent” (Tzephaniah 3:9).” ([Mishneh Torah], Laws of Kings 11:4)
Just as it is the responsibility of a Jew today to see that the world is civilized and G-d-fearing, so too will Moshiach bring the perfection, that all the nations will “… serve G-d with one consent.”

If the goal is the installation of the PLO in Gaza on the tip if the Israeli spear I too oppose the risk of even a single Israeli soldier.

On the other end I oppose using the civilain population of Israel as human shields for the IDF and the political leaders.

Every rocket and mortar fired at Israel was designated for killing Israeli civilians.

I agree but I think the approach should have been as it was starting when they ended it. they should have heavily bombed every site from which a rocket was fired using the same logic, and GC citation, that any civilian target used for military purposes is a legitimate legal target regardless of civilians being present. They appear to be able to record every rocket fired source. This would also have given even greater destruction and civilian deaths which in my view is a positive goal in this war. I disagree with the GC and believe that the decimation of civilian morale and support for their govs continuing war is a necessary goal. I think that much could have been accomplished by air first except for the exaggerated, and not required by GC, restraint used to protect enemy civilians.
It is obvious that political factor of not wanting to keep Gaza and the diplomatic factors wrt civilian casualties governed the decisions. although I do not agree with it I believe that the policy and goals were successfully executed. However, I believe that the ground operation should come AFTER fully preparing the ground with no restraint beyond the letter of the GC.

I dont remember Jewish inquisitions,, Jewish pogroms, jewish death camps.
    CA replied:
Look up the massacres at the pool of Mamila in the early 7th century, where Jews massacred Christian in 614AD.

Yes, a massacre of revenge in 614 AD for persecution as opposed to a 2000 year christian pogrom agianst the Jews. A typical example of your dishonest tactic of attempting to equate behaviors between the Jews and their persecutors. It is astounding that you have the gall and dishonesty to pursue this tactic. Wily and dishonest.

    CuriousAmerican Said:

in 711 AD when the Muslims invaded Spain, the Jews in Spain worked with the Muslims to help them conquer Spain, They garrisoned the cities for the Ummayid invaders
    From a reliable source.

your “reliable source” states “According to legend the muslims armed the Jews”…since when did legend substitute for fact. as for “garrisoning” the cities no evidence beyond opinion was given. The Jews often stayed behind when rulers changed. However, this is moot: of course the Jews would prefer an end to the persecution visited upon the by the Christians but how do you equate aiding a conquest with the 2000 year christian inquisitions, pogroms and death camps and the institutionalizing of those behaviors? Again an example of your dishonest tactic of equating christian and Jewish behaviors
    CuriousAmerican Said:

Now, that alliance of the Jews with the Muslims put Spain under bondage for 781 years until Spain threw the Moors out.

My reading of history,as evidenced by your own citaiton video,is that the bondage periods for the Jews, and everyone else, were not of the Moors but rather of the christians. In fact the Jews flourished iin Iberia before the visigoth conquests under the romans and even were tolerated under the Vgoths the first hundred years. However, It was when the visigoths converted to Catholicism in the 7th century that all the troubles, persecutions, swindling, libeling, torturing and slaughtering began for the Jews. Watch your own video.
Interestingly it is your citation video which highlights the Islamic period in spain that when discussing the christians it is chock full of the despicable Christian libels, swindling, tortures and slaughters of the Jews. It appears that your video reinforces my argument with many examples in only the one country of Spain.
    CuriousAmerican Said:

However, the Jewish community then helped the Muslims conquer Spain. The Spanish did not forget this; and when the Christians reconquered Spain in 1492, they threw the Jews out.

Absolute rubbish in saying that in 1492 the “spanish” remembered the legends of 614 AD almost 900 years earliier as the motivation for ferdinand and isabella to torture and evict the Jews. Furthermore, the christians had conquered most of spain a couple of hundred years earlier and did not appear to remember then either. You are beyond redemption in the extent of your deception and dishonesty. The same with the mamilla episode whose extent is in question historically. There was no mention of this affecting the Visigoth initiation of catholic policies towards the Jews. You are beyond redemption in the extent of your deception and dishonest.
    CuriousAmerican Said:

I am tired of a one sided condemnation of Christianity.

nothing one sided about it, there is not a shred of equality between Jewish behavior to christians and the unrelenting jew hating, libeling, swindling, torturing and slaughtering policies of christianity which survive and continue at this very moment in the BDS churches stalking of the Jews and their funding of muslim jew killing orgs. You attempt to raise this equality of the Jewish behavior with the christians and muslims repeatedly but this canard has no wings.
    CuriousAmerican Said:

As a Christian, I know Christianity has committed crimes; but I also know that it runs both ways.

more rubbish….more false equations. what is hammered home to me every time is your dishonest agenda and tactics. Your posts are always full of false equations
the fact is that the Euro Christian collective has not ended its 2000 year despicable practices against the Jews, this is the ongoing crime and the cause of much of the worlds jew hatred today.
Your analogies and comparisons are ludicrous and dishonest.

  15. CuriousAmerican Said:

Was that right? NO! Throwing the Jews out was wrong; but helping the Muslims invade Christian Spain was not right either.

There have been famous Jews in history who were responsible for the massacres of millions of Christians. I can provide names which will embarass you.

If one excuses these Jews, saying they were not pious, and therefore not representative of Judaism, then one has to excuse Christian tyrants as not representative of Christianity.

Rather I say as Isaiah has said: Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray

Between the years 250 CE and 1948 CE – a period of 1,700 years – Jews have experienced more than eighty expulsions from various countries in Europe – an average of nearly one expulsion every twenty-one years. Jews were expelled from England, France, Austria, Germany, Lithuania, Spain, Portugal, Bohemia, Moravia and seventy-one other countries.

No it wasn’t right it was the christian method of robbing the Jews and just just of their wealth.

I would venture a guess that in hindsight if expulsion out of christian Europe was offered the Jews instead of the ovens they would have overwhelmingly chose expulsion.

Hitler just did historically what christianity had always advocated.

Your claim that Jews murdered millions of christians seems to me to be hyperbole but give us your sources for such a declaration. I wish it were true but know better. 🙂
