Obama’s shameful legacy with Israel

A year ago I wrote Obama and Hamas and listed a very close relationship. Ted Belman

Obama has made it rather clear his first 3 years how he feels about Israel and it ain’t good. Early on in his presidency, he gave $900 million to the serial killer group Hamas, while rebuking and trying to intimidate Israel at every turn. Obama is in good company, however, since former President Jimmy Carter has urged Obama to remove Hamas from the Islamic terrorist list.

Let us look at the beautiful legacy of Hamas. Maybe Obama should give them another $900 million. USA Today outlines a series of achievements by Hamas.

Just a few of the many plans and attacks from 1987 onward:

    * 1988: Hamas publishes manifesto calling for ‘holy war’ to create an Islamic state from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, including Israel.
    * 1989: Hamas militants kill Israelis in dozens of shooting attacks: Israel outlaws Hamas as a terrorist organization
    * 1991: Hamas forms ‘Izzedine al-Quassam Brigades,” its military wing, for attacks against Israelis.
    * 1994, April 6.: First Hamas car bombing kills eight in Israeli city of Afula.
    * 1994, April 13.: First Hamas suicide bombing kills five in Israeli city of Hadera.
    * 1994, Oct. 19.: Hamas suicide bomber blows up Tel Aviv bus, killing 22.
    * 1996, Jan. 6.: Hamas master bomb maker Yehiyeh Ayyash killed in explosion, Israel held responsible.
    * 1996, February to March : 47 Israelis killed in three suicide attacks in retaliation for killing Ayyash.
    * 2000, September : Second Palestinian uprising begins
    * 2001, June 1, : Hamas suicide bomber blows up outside Tel Aviv disco, killing 21
    * 2001, Aug. 9, : Hamas suicide bomber blows up Jerusalem restaurant, killing 15
    * 2002, March 27. : Hamas bomber blows up Netany hotel, killing 29.
    * 2003, August-September: 39 killed in three Hamas suicide bombings

There have been numerous other attacks by Hamas terrorists against Israelis non stop since 1987. I’m wondering what the $900 million gift was for from Obama?? Of course with the worldwide recession weapons and bombs are more expensive.

Then we saw the UN and America stand against Israel in May 2010 when Israel stopped the Gaza-bound flotilla coming from Turkey. The flotilla of ships were warned by Israeli Navy to turn back. The Israelis had intelligence and suspected that other than food and medical supplies would be sent into Gaza. They were right…..as usual. The Israeli Navy ended up controlling the ships, detaining the passengers some of which were wanted terrorists. Nine activists were killed and seven IDF commandos were injured. As it turned out, among all the ‘medical and food cover’ there were arms and wanted militants on board. Naturally the facts didn’t matter to the UN or Obama. Israel was harshly rebuked and investigations demanded. Evil Israel! Why couldn’t they just die politely and let the terrorists and weapons into Gaza?

I thought Vice President Biden, Obama and Hillary would develop a brain hemorrhage of stress when Prime Minister Netanyahu didn’t ‘obey’ the orders of Obama and team to stop building in Israel’s sovereign territory. They had 3,000 pre-approved housing units already under construction. After much pressure from the US against this, on March 2010, Israel announced it would continue to build 1,600 new homes in the eastern Jerusalem neighborhood of Ramat Shlomo.

VP Biden described this response from Netanyahu as “one of the most serious rows between the two allies in recent decades, while Secretary Clinton described the Israeli decision to continue building as ‘deeply negative’ for US-Israeli relations. I said then and I say now, Obama, Hillary and Obama should all get therapy and get over it.

On March 23, 2011, a bomb blew up in central Jerusalem injuring at least 50 and killing 1. Obama’s comments were as usual horrifying with the ‘moral equivalence’ nonsense. He talked of Israel’s right to protect herself but showed sympathy for Palestinians who could have been injured when Israel responded by attacking military installations to stop any more missile strikes or attacks on Israel. Isn’t it special and most fascinating that this President thinks it is all the same. You blow up civilians at a bus stop….that is bad. It is just as bad when you attack and kill the murderers apparently.

Obama has kissed up to Islam, apologized for America and told Turkish parliament we are no longer a Christian nation. He has also told the Islamic world and media that we are the largest Islamic country.

Obama’s legacy and actions against Israel are shameful at the very least. I just hope that the Jewish community in 2012 remembers his actions and not his manipulative words.

Israel has always been our best friends in the Middle East and covered our back. I am so embarrassed and most ashamed as to how this administration has treated them. I only pray that the next President has the guts, integrity and humility to fall on their face before the Israeli Government and beg for their forgiveness. I guarantee you I would do that if God put someone like me in the White House.

  1. Just a simple matter of priorities.

“I just cannot believe that about half of Obama’s campaign contributions came from American Jews.”

American Jews find it more important to assure a mother’s option to put out a hit contract on her own flesh-&-blood (preferably paid for from her neighbor’s paycheck),

and to guarantee to arrested-development, reversed-polarity, persons the blessing of society on the compulsive games they play with eachothers’ private parts,

than that the Jewish People should have a safe place to watch their great-grandchildren grow up in the world.

  2. Obama and the U.S. government have never given one red cent to Hamas. The U.S. proclaims Hamas is a terrorist group. Aid has gone to the Palestinian Authority, with the stipulation Hamas gets Zero. Being that the PA and Hamas have been at each others throats for years, ever since Hamas occupied Gaza, I don’t think the PA has voluntarily donated to Hamas, but who knows if Hamas has swindled some of it.

With the news today that the PA and Hamas are reconciling, the U.S. congress is going to cut all funds to Palestinians. U.S. law will not allow any money going to a terrorist group. Maybe it’s just as well the U.S. stops contributing to the PA…

  3. Lou Adams said,

“The Jewish left’s guilt and need to hold Israel to a higher standard has put Israel at enormous risk.”

Is it just the “Jewish left” that’s the problem? When I look back 200 years at Jewish history, I don’t see ANY “wing” that could be considered “right” in the political sense. Judaism in general was based on rabbinical opinions formulated in a world wherein Jews were in power nowhere and had to adjust all their thinking in order to “get along” with a dominant alien power. The Zionist movement came decades later and, ironically, it was primarily a “left wing” movement of modernist Jews.

Is Israel really trying to set a “higher standard”? Or is that just a code word for “getting along” in a world wherein they are a hopeless minority? It’s a very understandable attitude of self-preservation; but it comes from a medieval, Galut context. That is a great pitfall of following a religion that is dependent on centuries of tradition, instead of on a fresh insight into the original texts. But that dependence is the defining basis of the Jewish religion.

Frankenstein has created his own monster. The Arab nations behave in their own self-destructive way, because such behavior is mandated by their Quran; and to abandon Quran is to abandon Islam and the identity of those people. Israel has its own problems that are undermining it. In the Christian world, the dogmatism of Catholicism retarded scientific progress. The Protestants encouraged freedom of thought, and it got out of hand: it has disintegrated into hedonism and nihilism. Ideas don’t exist in a vacuum: They produce actions, which have consequences; and where these ideas clash, the result is a very physical war.

May the best man win (if there is such a one).

  4. The Jewish left’s guilt and need to hold Israel to a higher standard has put Israel at enormous risk. When “Jewish pro Israel groups” make it their life’s work to undermine and attack Israel, how can Israel defend Herself?

  5. Blah,Blah,Blah. The same rhetoric, the same baloney. In any other country in this world if the above happened to their citizens, the offending parties would have been destroyed. Carpet bombed, fire bombed, massive invasion, etc. Except in Moral Israel, where such activities appear to be welcomed. No other country including the USA would accept this nonsense, but Israel doesn’t really care about its citizens. If it did, there would be no Palestinian problem, no hamas to deal with, and Fatah would be a distant memory to these Palestinian animals. I can guaranty this to all of you…if a Palestinian came into my home and killed my wife or children, there wouldn’t be a Palestinian alive within a 100 mile radius from where I live. I wouldn’t talk to these people, I wouldn’t sit down and try and reason with these animals, I would kill them. They are a cancer in our society and this cancer must be destroyed. I am waiting for Israel to take some action. Then again, I have been waiting for 40 years to see that action.

  6. What did you expect from an American President with a muslim background?

Yesterday, I happened to be thinking again about Obama’s Cairo speech:

Six million Jews were killed — more than the entire Jewish population of Israel today. Denying that fact is baseless, it is ignorant, and it is hateful.

Laudable but here’s what I find most interesting: the nuance of Obama’s words reflects a man speaking to his own. Like a son who leaves home from some backwoods to attend university and returns home during the holiday break to disabuse his ignorant, antisemitic parents of the notion that the Holocaust is a myth.

Obama chose Cairo for his seminal speech and “will stand with the Muslims” because they are his people. He considers himself educated, enlightened, a man of the world, but his roots and loyalties are to the Muslim third-world.

Viewed this way, all of his decisions and policies to-date are entirely consistent and rational. As are his future moves.

  7. What does all the stupidity done by people who are born Jewish and who don’t practice an ounce of Judaism, have to do with their being Jews? I’m fed up with this.

  8. Let me offer this quote sent to me by a colleague:

Julia Gorin’s zinger [my colleague’s words] at the 2009 Preserving Western Civilization conference:

To a Jew there is no greater accomplishment than getting a black man into the White House. The thinking goes: “Our work is done. It’s OK if the Muslims come kill us now.”

  9. What did you expect from an American President with a muslim background?
I just cannot believe that about half of Obama’s campaign contributions came from American Jews.
Also, a large majority of American Jews voted for Obama.
For this Chillul Hashem, American Jews, not the American government, should beg Israeli Jews for their forgiveness.
Ever since the election of Obama, it’s been hell for us in Israel.
American Jews should not forget that there is a Din and that there is a Dayan, and that they will get what is coming to them in due time.
