Over 600 Jewish organizations sign letter published on anniversary of March on Washington backing ‘current day Civil Rights Movement’

Over 600 Jewish organizations, representing the majority of American Jews, signed a letter in support of the Black Lives Matter movement that was published in a full-page New York Times ad on Friday.

“We support the Black-led movement in this country that is calling for accountability and transparency from the government and law enforcement. We know that freedom and safety for any of us depends on the freedom and safety of all of us,” reads the letter, which was published on page A17 of the print edition of The New York Times.

T. Belman. The Palestinians themselves didn’t rise up in protest even though Abbas urged them to do so. They have had enough of the PA.

The UAE took to Twitter to accuse Iran, Qatar and Turkey in particular of being wedded to a worldview defined by conflict and antisemitism.

The United Arab Emirates’ US embassy hit back at the critics of its recent deal with Israel, taking to Twitter to slam Iran, Turkey, Qatar, Hamas and Hezbollah, among others, for their negativity.

In a series of Tweets posted to the UAE Embassy US account, the Gulf state accused its critics of speaking “nothing but fear and hate,” adding “their rants say something about what kind of world they want to see.”The Tweets were illustrated with examples of some of the criticism the deal has drawn from states and organizations in the Middle East. Among them was a quote by the Turkish Foreign Ministry which commented that “the consciences of the peoples of the region will never forgive the hypocritical behavior of the UAE, which betrayed the Palestinian cause.”

Al-Saqir police training camp is regularly used by Al-Hashed Al-Shabi (The Popular Mobilization Committee) Militia and has been serving as Al-Hashed’s the terror academy.

Al-Hashed Al-Shabi is an infamous group that is trained and controlled by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. For the last three years, Al-Hashed has served as Iran’s terrorist militia and army on the move in Iraq. Initially established to combat ISIS, Al-Hashed has proven to be made up of Shiite radicals who are committing terrorist acts and atrocities throughout Iraq against anyone who opposes Iran, including Al-Hashed’s fellow Shiites.

T. Belman. The authors are right of course.  Bibi is the problem. Bibi permitted illegal Arab construction in Area C funded by the European countries. Bibi froze all settlement constructions for many years. The UAE deal is not peace for peace as it should be but peace contingent on Israel concessions, suspension/cancellation of extension of sovereignty.

Since Trump tabled his plan on Jan 27 with great optimism and a promise to Israel that she could extend sovereignty to the Jordan Valley and the Israel settlement blocs immediately, it began to fall apart.  First we heard that the extension of sovereignty had to wait for mapping to take place but in practice there was no need for the mapping. The opposition of Europe and the Sunni States and the Democratic party was intense. Trump was trailing Biden by a huge margin. Bit by bit the Plan became a distant memory.

Then with great fanfare, Trump announced the UAE deal.  But it was far from a done deal and seemed to be dependent on Israel making a concession regarding extension of sovereignty and possibly even agreeing to the sale of F-35’s to UAE. There was much talk of others that would do similar deals. In short order Saudi Arabia both rejected a deal and insisted on the upholding of the Arab Peace Initiative. The Morocco the same and Sudan the same. Back to square one.

Universal mail voting would make the US “a laughing stock”, President Donald Trump has said, as he continues his vocal opposition to postal voting.

It comes after the US Postal Service (USPS) warned that millions of mail-in votes may not arrive in time to be counted in November’s election.

A record number of people are expected to vote by mail due to the pandemic.

Critics have blamed the new USPS head – a loyal supporter of President Donald Trump – for a slowdown in deliveries.
